this place was terrible i went there in the evening (5:30) i went in to have powder removed and continue with a mani/petti. my natural nails are extremely long and strong. the wax removal process started with the technician using the electric tool she says to remove the top coat. she then brought me 2 small bowls full,of acetone and told me to stick my fingers in. my response was wheres the aluminum foil and cotton that's what i'm familiar with. her response this is a better way. after soaking my nails in acetone for at least 10 minutes my skins turning dry (white) up to my knuckles. she drysc my hands. she grabs the electric tool and gets ready to file my nail after being in acetione for 10 minutes. i say no more electric tool. her response was what you want me to do! how about filing it's what technicians do. i've broken 3 nails since yesterday, as i stated my natural nails are super strong. i walked out of there totally dissatisfied, uhearded and racially exploited . , , no apologies and continually dismissive if, i had a dog i would'nt send them there for grooming my nails are sick and not in a good way. and i have a rash on both arms from acetone drying me out. they suck. response: say what you want about your shop procedures. the key word is "emory board", "not a filing "electric tool on (my) natural nails, then immerse my nails my hands in two bowls filled with acetone. the skin under my nails, and the top of my nails are still irritated and sensitive. ive been receiving mani petti to acrylic nails since the 1970's i dont need you to explain procedures to me yiu should also "google" immersing your skin in acetone. my suggestion to your shop "cotton balls, acetone, and aluminum foil. better tell the other patrons what you want. your shop sucks and your response is indicative of that. good bye. may we never meet again. Research: hands in pure acetone for 15 minutes is unsafe and unnecessary. Acetone is a harsh solvent that damages skin, nails, and periungual tissues and can cause systemic effects with prolonged exposure. Safer, evidence-based steps and precautions follow. read more

I was a regular here for about a year! Really enjoyed my gel manicures with Hazel and the 2 or so pedicures were quite nice. Price is reasonable and would recommend. The only downside is that I parked my car in the parking lot (in front of the entrance), but somehow my car window was smashed. That's the main reason I haven't come back. read more

I never am rushed, the location is prime and their shop is so bright and welcoming. I love that they have a wide range of nail polish (gel and regular) and they don't cheap you out on the polish. (AKA - fill it with alcohol to make it last longer) I usually get a gel build and gel pedi. They take such good care of my nails and don't rush me either. I've been coming here since they opened but it's just gone downhill. Had the most disappointing gel pedicure yesterday...it took 20 minutes. That's 20 minutes for gel removal AND application. The nail tech rushed through it, making the process not only totally unpleasant but not at all relaxing and honestly somewhat painful. The polish is sloppy, the way she trimmed my toenails is uneven, the color is splotchy and I have gel overlapping on the side of my big toenail bed, which I had to clip and file myself because it was painful. Giving 2 stars because the space is clean and while the massage was fast, it was decent. Not sure I'll be back, though. read more

Giving 3 stars as a CAUTION! please be aware when getting your nails done here. I got a fungus on 3 nails from this shop. I came in to have them take my nails off to get a new set.. the older woman started my nails, immediately Ik she wasn't as experienced as I would have preferred but I allowed her to continue. When she began shaping my nails she was filling entirely too much off on the sides, I let the young lady at desk know & Hazel or Helen I believe took over filing. They were decent enough. Came bck for a fill in about 3 weeks let them know tht I believed the nail where filing was exaggerated was getting a fungus. They said it was NOT a fungus and in fact the acrylic was too thin. Tht seemed off but she made the acrylic thicker n it did seem sturdy but nail was still off. I ended up cutting the nail off a few days later & going to another nail shop & In fact had a fungus on tht nail but also two others!!! I called in to Ltk before writing this review they did ask for me to come in to look. But its past tht. This is not entirely on them because I should have listened to my inner voice. Ok - so after being a loyal customer for about a year, I'm finally and hesitantly giving a review. Don't go stealing all my appointments with this stellar group! My mom owns a number of nail salons on the east coast and perfectionism runs in my blood- I do not tolerate messy, and/or non long lasting gel or dip nails. My nails always last at least a month and the dip keeps my nails healthy and long vs just gel. Hazel is a breathe of fresh air and she has been able to pretty much execute on every crazy manicure I've asked her to do with an accompanying picture from the wild internet. I used to happily recommend this place for regular pedis but today I was really disappointed by my service. It felt rushed, the add-ons I paid for were almost forgotten, I had to ask for nails to be clipped and cuticles cut, the polish is sloppy, I had to fix the nail shape on several toes, and the skin buffing was uneven so dry skin is still really apparent. I could've done a better job myself but I can't fix this because the nails are now too short. This was a splurge before a wedding next week! Very sad, I probably won't be back. read more

I went to this nail salon hoping to get matte black nails but as you can see there are nothing but imperfections in what I hoped would be my $43 worth (plus tip). Not only was the nail polish not applied smoothly but one day later I have which seems like some kind of a bubble on my right thumb now with polish that is lifting. I only hope to find glue so that I can make my nails last at least a week. You can even see a lot of the areas where the matte polish was not applied on the entire nail. There's one or two nails where it was applied entirely but the rest of my nails look inadequate. If I lived in the area I would ask for my money back because this is completely unacceptable! read more

I've been here twice so far and have had different experiences. Store itself is nice inside with great space and lighting. Parking can be quite hard since the lot can get pretty full since there are numerous businesses in and outside of the plaza. First visit, I got french tip and it was an overall good experience. It actually stayed on and grew out nicely for almost 1.5 months. Second visit, not the best experience. The man that did my nails was aggressively filing into my skin while shaping it, which left my skin around my nails sensitive (stings when I wash my hands and feels sore because it's basically cuts on my skin). I chose a white pink-ish color (#31) and I feel like the polish could've been more smoothed out after each layer. There's noticeable bumps on a couple nails, which is bothersome. I know they are still pretty new so I do want to give this spot another chance later on. Just like any nail salon, you'll get mixed experiences if someone new is doing your nails. read more

What a great first experience!! Jenny was the first contact and she's very nice and efficient!!! I was a walk-in so she asked about availability and was able to accommodate me immediately. She advised me later that it as her sister who administered an Extremely relaxing $40 Lavender pedicure with scrub, hot stones and 10 min massage!! Their Aunt owns the salon, and "Fam Nail Salon" makes sense now that I know they are all Family Mermaid bowls to soak your feet in, massage chairs, a large screen showing underwater view of colorful fish and dolphins. Pop music station which suited me fine and not very loud so not intrusive to the experience. As you can tell, very reasonably priced, if not under!! With the grand opening, services are 10% off, and there are free beverages currently. I got a bottled water, but there is lemonade and other options while supply lasts! The location provides a great parking lot for the strip mall that the salon is in the middle of. Nice surrounding options including a Peet's, Round Table, Noah's Bagel and Walgreens.
