Very nice, small nail salon. They did a great job on my nails and it lasted a really long time. I would go back. I think it's best to make an appointment in advance. They couldn't take me for a same day appointment, but they got me in the very next day, which was no problem for my schedule. read more

I live super close to C&S so I was excited to try them out and see if they would be my new go-to spot - and they definitely are! I got a gel mani and regular pedi. I hate writing a bad review but my experience was so ridiculous I have to share: I was loyal to my old nail shop for years until it closed so I was looking for a new place to become a regular. The first time I came here I was happy with my set and thought I was going to make this my new spot. But, I wondered how the business was so quiet and empty on such a busy street-- the first warning sign. On my second visit, the tech struggled with my Gel X set, reapplying a couple nails about three times because she said there were air bubbles in the glue. Glueing them, then removing, then re-glueing is damaging for your nails. She blamed my nails for being too thin-- something I hadn't heard before. Two days later, those same nails she kept reapplying completely broke off at the bed (where my natural nail ended). My work requires my hands to be on camera for video demonstrations so I like to have a nice manicure. I went back for a fix but was afraid to get them removed and reapplied after she had said they were "too thin" and it could wreck my natural nails beyond repair. I assumed they would offer me a discount toward another set or a partial refund for the two that broke. Instead, the tech got very defensive and argued that I must have done something to cause this, acting like she was being personally insulted and insinuating I staged the broken nails to get a refund. She acted like I was harassing her as a scammer or something and insisted on giving me a full refund as if I was shaking her down. I said I would just be happy with a credit toward a future set or something (not unusual since they have punch cards for a discount) but she acted exasperated and insisted on giving me cash for my full visit (removal, full set, and tip). I gave her back the tip and removal money and said I would be back because I was trying to become a regular, loyal customer here. On my next visit, she had a speech ready for me with a bad attitude, as if I am trash looking for a free ride, that if my nails broke again I couldn't get my money back (which is funny bc she was the one who offered my money back, I never asked for it). I said, "No I wouldn't ask for a refund, if they did break off again I wouldn't ever come back here." That set her off! I guess she felt she needed to have the upper hand with her speech and kept repeating that I couldn't get a refund. I said "I understand and I agree... you have said it about 6 times, let's move forward". This made her upset again and she said "I want to let you know I have a camera here"...I laughed, "what's the camera going to do?" because a camera can't resolve a dispute over nail services. But then she said "I am uncomfortable, I don't feel safe" Really ma'am? I guess insinuating I was some unhinged animal that was going to be hurt or rob them? No one has ever said my presence was physically threatening before, it's silly. Textbook racist nonsense. Obviously I left after that because that is wild. Truly Karen behavior at this shop where if you have a problem they won't take accountability for faulty work, then play victim when you stand up for yourself as an honest customer. All in all, I'm so glad I moved on to another shop! I found one in Rockridge with a better environment, better customer service and a more modern and impressive color range. read more

I walked past this salon and decided to pop-in for a last minute manicure and now they are forever my go-to salon for manis and pedis. I love the staff and their ability to make you feel welcomed and pampered. They have a wonderful variety of colours and are extremely professional and excel at the services they provide. I highly recommend Susan, that being said, all the staff are amazing and you'll be treated with warm hospitality and friendly energy. I always leave with a smile on my face :) and gorgeous nails! read more

The vibe here is so welcoming, they are very good at the service they provide. My Partner and I come in here to get our pedicures and nails done. I finally feel like I found "my" nail place. I've only ever met two or three women working here (I think they're sisters), and they are so friendly and warm and kind. I've gotten both gel-x and acrylics done here, and their attention to detail is astounding. Every other place I've been has just slathered on thick glue or worked too fast or talked over me like I wasn't even there. This place is a neighborhood gem. It's never overcrowded, and they never work in a rush. read more

Custom service need to improve . We did a walk in they asked if we can come back in a hour hour and 30 max. She asked if we can make a appointment and were we actually coming back because people make appointments and don't show up . Not only did she take my name she took my number down . Due to a accident coming down pedimont and the street closed off we were 10 mins late . I tried calling no answer . After finding parking because parking is limited in the area we got inside at 2:13pm . We were informed that another appointment was booked at 245 for nails . We told them made an appointment for a reason we spent a hour waiting around in the area for no reason . They didn't try to contact us to even see if we were close or not . Did not try to accommodate buy at least starting one of our nails and the other person pedicure till the next appointment arrived . I was looking forward to the serivd from previous reviews of there work but due to the customer service I don't know if I will try in the future . read more

The technician did a fantastic job catering to my needs and even explaining why they did what they did. On top of selecting this color, they mentioned they wanted to apply another colored coating so that the pink color cat eye i selected will be more aparrant when they finish. The golden heart was the dexor i wanted and they nailed it (pun intended)! It's been so long since ive been so happy with a session. I get compliments everywhere i go. The gentleman who took on the appointment made several errors, from not allowing the polish to dry so that it had to be redone, followed by closing the salon EARLY with the polish ruined before I got to the sidewalk. The nail tech was very nice and made sure the water was perfect. I was offered a free drink and I was like...what?! YES! I got an iced coffee and call me simple but it was good and it made my experience that much better. The chair massage also worked, which again, sometimes I don't get that much at other spots. Chose a simple pedi ($40) and she did a really good job at the massage and cleaning of my cuticles. I was in/out in about an hour and I would def come back. Oh! I also liked that I was able to get an idea of pricing beforehand by looking online. I hate surprises so I appreciated it a lot.

Nobody rushed me with "hello what do you want" or shoved a color wall in my face before I even sat down. I actually felt like a person, not just another number to get in and out. It wasn't until I was sitting there that I realized how used to bad treatment I'd gotten. Other salons trained me without me even noticing, packed into a tiny space, treated like I'm on a conveyor belt, rushed out before my nails even had time to properly dry. I had honestly forgotten my time and my experience mattered. Delane's brought that back for me. The professionalism was on another level too. No games with the price going up if you don't tip in cash, which is honestly tacky and rude and tells you exactly how little they think of their customers. Nobody crowding me in next to three other people either. It was calm, it was peaceful, it actually felt relaxing instead of stressful. And the cleanliness. Towels were fresh, equipment looked properly cleaned, none of that murky blue water sitting in a dirty container that's clearly been there for who knows how long. Even the bathroom was clean, and that alone tells you a lot about how a place is really run. I spent $150 ($50 deposit, $100 day of service) for gel nails that haven't even lasted as long as regular polish. Not to mention, when I arrived there were no instructions on how to get into the building. No signage. No way to communicate with her. I almost left until she texted me 7 minutes after the scheduled appointment time. I'm pregnant and I was out waiting in the rain as I had taken a Lyft there. I want my money back! Ive been looking for a new nail salon to go to and ive recently got into cat eye. I was walking by…read morePhenomenails one morning and saw from their front door they had many more varities of cat eye colors that most places rarely have. Luckily i was able to do a walk in appointment as they werent too busy. But got busy right at the tail end of my session. I did a walk in on early friday afternoon and had a very specific design and color i wanted. This place had the color but i needed to confirm if they could do the deaign. The technician did a fantastic job catering to my needs and even explaining why they did what they did. On top of selecting this color, they mentioned they wanted to apply another colored coating so that the pink color cat eye i selected will be more aparrant when they finish. The golden heart was the dexor i wanted and they nailed it (pun intended)! It's been so long since ive been so happy with a session. I get compliments everywhere i go. I look forward to coming back for another session!!
