This nail salon experience was recommended by a neighbor and was so lovely! Last Saturday I walked over. The salon was busy but clean, neat, and setup nicely. The staff also greeted me in a friendly manner. Although a longer experience since I didn't have an appointment, both my manicure and pedicure experience were great. One staff member did my pedicure as I relaxed in a massage chair. She was very detail oriented and took her time to ensure perfection. Another staff member took the same approach when it was time to do my manicure. Other customers struck up conversation too. Reasonably priced, this salon experience is unmatched in this neighborhood or nearby. read more

This place is a hidden gem on grand avenue. This was my second time and they really take their time with pedicures, often are loud and it feels like a rush service. I didn't plan on getting my nails done but I'm glad I stopped in for a pedicure. It was around 3:30 pm on a Friday and there was no wait time. Staff is extremely friendly - engaging in conversation with me and checking in with me throughout my pedicure. The young lady doing my pedicure was detailed oriented and took her time while doing my pedicure which I appreciated. I didn't have the time to do a manicure but another nail lady noticed my peeled off nail polish and offered to take it off for me. So sweet of her! In terms of the actual establishment and health protocols, it was clean (one of the cleaner nail shops I've been to I may add) and my pedicurist used new tools on me which I have a keen eye for. When it came the time to leave, they also gave me a bag to put my shoes in. I enjoyed the pedicure and was relaxed during the whole session. I highly recommend this establishment! read more

Went in for a pedicure and full set acrylics WITH an appointment and was there for three hours. Booked with SPECIFIC PEOPLE and did not get those people. My pedicure was a 10/10 but my acrylics? Absolutely not. I didn't get the person I booked with because the prioritized walk in which is odd at that point make it walk ins only. And the reason I made an appointment is to get food service but I got a random nail tech that cut me THREE different times. Each nail is going a different wait they are weirdly thick. I really just want them to re do them! But I did not have the time. Really sad and super unset about this experience. read more

I've gone to Bebe Nails 2 twice for acrylics and each time Sally has taken such good care of me. When I cracked a nail (I work in a bar) I went in and she helped me glue it back together until we could do a new set. Staff here is so friendly and you can tell they care about you and will put in the effort to keep loyal and consistent clients. read more

Let's talk about this wonderful place and their hard working people. We recently had our baby and we live in Las Vegas but needed a place to call ours here in Oakland for the next couple of months. Found them on Yelp and loved their work. The first person I went to was Nancy and she did a phenomenal job with my design and fill. Maria did both me and my husband pedicures also his manicure she does an incredible job. For my second visit I had Finn I really enjoyed my time also challenging him with the designs I had in mind and him executing perfectly with our team efforts. My original 4 star rating was changed to a 1 star after being rudely told to leave by Finn because I didn't agree with being charged for the repair of a broken nail only 2 days after having my $90+ nails done. I came in on Friday the 22nd for a gel polish on my toes and a gel fill on my hands. I was happy with the design and shape of my nails, which made it all the way to their Instagram page. I thought the price was high, $45 for a gel fill on "long nails" + $25 for my "designs", and $20 for a gel polish. Because I liked the shape of my nails and assumed the products used were of good quality I overlooked the price. However, I was wrong because 2 days after my nail broke from the base while vacuuming. I immediately called and asked to come in to have it repaired but due to my busy schedule I never got the time to come back to repair the nail until yesterday, a week after calling. Understanding that some time had passed, I called again before coming in, this time Finn answered and told me that they weren't opened on Sundays so maybe I had my dates of calling mixed up but to still come in. I checked my records and saw that I had called bebes nails 1 instead of 2 about my broken nail. Still, I came in and Finn repaired my nail, but when he was done he said it'll be $7. Confused by this charge I began to explain my disappointment/confusion but I was cut off and told that I was being charged because my nails are a fill and the break was my fault or the fault of the prior nail work. Now even more confused, because this reason makes no sense, I expressed that I disagreed and was once again cut off and rudely told to leave now. I will never spend another hard earned penny in Bebes nails, and do not recommend this business because they do not value their customers, use low quality products, are extremely overpriced, and operate as though they are doing you a favor rather than providing you a PAID service. read more

Amazing work done here by a family owned business! Went the extra mile by dealing with a thorn in my foot for a long time, but they did such a thorough job that it was removed and my callus and pain were actually gone. Felt lucky to have walked in here because a few shops already tried to make the callus better but didn't really improve it as drastically so thanks again for the great customer service and will come back. read more

Not @ BeBe, I brought in a bunch of photos to see which ones Maria felt comfortable doing, she said she could do them all & to pick my fav. She was not flexing...She can do it all ! They do great work at this nail salon, but their customer service is questionable. It was the first nail salon I started going to in Oakland. I was happy with the work Maria did each time and I went for about 3-4 sets. The reason I gave them three stars is because during my last visit I wanted my nails a specific way and showed the photos. Towards the middle of my appointment another one of Maria's clients came in who had extremely long nails, which takes much longer, so she began to rush through my nails. I expressed that I was displeased toward the end when I realized my nails were looking messy. I was then told to come back another day because other appointment was be more money. I was confused why it couldn't be fixed before, but I understood and left. For some reason, this experience made me never want to go back. read more

Gave them a second chance being that this was the only nail shop I went to when I lived in Oakland . Customer service sucks and the pedicures they offer do not match the prices , literally soaked my feet no scrubbing no soap no nothing . Prior to that I waited about 30 minutes before I guess the owner and her son showed up . Instead of working on my pedicure she assisted another woman who walked in a little after she came in . Mind you I was already in the chair . The nail polishing is definitely rushed and it's absolutely no reason for you to pay for a gel set here because they will rush that shit too : This isn't a quality nail shop if you want it done right I suggest you look for another place because all they do is rush and you can tell by their painting. I'm already pissed off and I wanted to walk off . They will not be getting another dime out of me . I should've left them where they belong. In the cuts no customers read more

So I started at the original Bebes nail, at first when I started coming I was skeptical because it wasn't "home" . However Ceci and the other ladies here made me feel welcomed and I never have to wait ! I came in this week and Ceci pulled out a picture that she wanted to try on me considering she knows I like my nude colors and light pink... I am in LOVE! The shop was clean and staff friendly enough. They offered cold water and light snacks (madeleines and granola bars) that would be the reason for the 2 stars. I was very displeased with the pedicure and the manicure myself, my mother, and my 5yr daughter received. My mother and myself got gel manicures and some Hawaii themed pedicure which said we could choose scents for sugar scrubs etc and we weren't offered that the nail techs chose their own favorites for us. This place is garbage. Customer service sucks, you never pay the price advertised, and they are always late for their appointments. What's the point of making an appointment if you're just going to completely overlook it?? Unprofessional, the place doesn't look clean, and the work is messy. I really wish I could give this place a higher rating as I did have a great experience my first two times here. But, this is my third and probably my last. They take walk-ins which I really appreciate. The male tech is very skilled and I should've requested to have him do my toes but they were busy and an older woman who wears glasses started with my toes. PLEASE NOTE: they use a power tool to remove Gel polish. If you have sensitive nail beds, beware. Long story short, she overused the power tool and ended up injuring my pinky toe. (See pic) then she kept going over the injured area, with that nail scraping tool and I keep having to tell her "please leave that toe alone. It's hurt" then she started to peel my cuticles back so far, that it started to hurt. I finally had to ask her to stop and for someone else to take over and I had to repeat myself more than once and acted like she couldn't hear me yelling "STOP!" She was aggressive and super rough. Additionally- If you're looking for a peaceful spa day. This is not that kind of place. It's noisy and most of the techs like to chatter loudly. 2 stars because their prices are very reasonable and they take walk-ins also parking is pretty easy. read more

Decided to try a new nail shop, will not be coming here again. Nice salon, friendly staff. Pedicure was great, unfortunately all but one of the nails on one hand came off in exactly a week. Not good because I paid $60, and it was gel. Not good because nail shops that cost less, lasted longer in my experience. And I left a $20 tip before I left after paying $118 for the pedicure and gel full set. Like I said nice people, and I WOULD'VE went back had it not been for the nails completely peeling off like press ons. I'll give 2 stars for the pedicure. read more

I have gone to this nail salon over the years but this is the first review I have written for them. The work is always good, they don't make appointments they cannot keep, and I have never been kept waiting. Today I got a dip powder service and I chose a color. My technician steered me to another color, and I was disappointed when I left. But then I got outside and saw that she chose the best color--the color I was hoping for but I picked unwisely! These women not only are so friendly and talented, they also know more about choosing the right color than I do! Bravo and I will be continuing getting my nails done here!! read more

So I came across this page through Instagram. BEBE NAILS 2 had followed me a while back & from the pictures I can instantly tell that their nail games are on point ! I had originally message the page on Monday extremely interested in getting an appt. Can in today for a full set and pedicure ! when i tell u this is the BEST nail salon I have ever gone too. GUYSSS the attention to detail is reallll. I had Nancy lay the acrylic and godamn she did good. super attentive and the cuticle blend i canttt . then Fin did the design and gel polish. WOW im am beyond impressed. Overall they really took their time and my set is perfect. Exactly how i wanted. This was my first time coming here and definitely not the last. Pricing isnt too bad either. I payed $85, not including tip, for this set (keep in mind the design was very intricate and complicated) I would recommend this place to everyone i know. read more

I found this very strange... this is what I'll call a "dry" mani... my tech didn't soak my nails/cuticles, so when she groomed my cuticles, it was completely dry. I've never had that done before and got worried. It was uncomfortable, and as I expected would happen, my cuticles bled. My tech's polish and design work seemed good at the time but I noticed after I left that one of my thumbs is crooked. Unfortunately, she also didn't do a good job capping/sealing the ends of my nails and it definitely had an impact: less than 1.5 weeks in and my nails are chipping. The worst part: the most severe chipping is happening to one of the nails with design. I'm so so disappointed. Gel usually lasts a month on me, and it's only been a week and a half. :( I can't remember what the base mani cost was, but I remember when she itemized, she charged me for my existing gel removal (usually I've only seen that done if I'm not getting new gel done), and she charged for each different nail color (I used 3 different colors; I've never been charged just for different colors before), and separate for the simple design (expected). Total came to $90 + tip. For a gel mani that lasted less than 1.5 weeks that wasn't very "spa" (didn't soak my cuticles before grooming, made my cuticles bleed and didn't clean it up, barely any hand massage), I'm honestly really disappointed, frustrated if I'm being honest. For a $100 gel mani, this should not have chipped so soon.

However my experience was less than ideal. I went in wanting dip as I was reading it was stronger and I've been struggling with lifting off builder gel. Multiple staff kept talking out of it and that their builder gel lasts a long time, uncomfortable but hopeful I said okay since Builder Gel is better for your nails in the long run. I got one color, builder gel on natural nails, and just a simple shape. Nothing too complicated I haven't gotten elsewhere before. I went home and thought it was fine for the money, $45 for builder gel + $8 tip. Probably wasn't going to return but also wasn't going to write a review. However, after 1 day my pointer finger nail chipped and started lifting and my middle finger also started lifting. I called and they said to come in and they would fix it. I went in and sat for 30 minutes until someone saw me -- had 3 different people come look my nails in the meantime but never start prep process, etc. After 30 minutes I was taken to a different station and she took maybe 15 minutes to "fix" the issue. Upon leaving and having a time to look better at my nails I still left unsatisfied. I chose not to go back a third time as I don't feel confident they will be able to actually do my nails well. I gave 2 stars as they did offer and attempt to fix my nails and didn't charge me for the "fix." I would be cautious going here as it seems your experience may vary...
