Maryann is by far the best tailor I have ever been to. She does whatever you want but will suggest alternatives if you're unsure.

Does okay worl, when you can get ahold of them. I used them one, and the work was good, but now you need an appointment, and you have to go online. Every day when I put on one of my Fama tailored pants, I'm happy they fit so well. Today, I picked up a shirt she shortened. I didn't think you could shorten a flannel shirt, but she did and it was only $15. And she was able to maintain the original contour of the bottom of the shirt. Just a great tailor!!! read more

I wish I could review her quality of work, but based on my experience with this place, we never even got that far. I found this place when i asked on Facebook and 16 of my friends said to come here. I called in the beginning of April in regards to my wedding dress for my August 2017 wedding. The woman I spoke with said that they are not open the month of August so the dress would be done by the end of July. I was told to call back the second week of May to make an appointment that would be scheduled for the end of May. When I called the second week of May (on a Thursday) I was told that they don't take appointments it's walk in only. I was also informed that she is overbooked with wedding dresses and wouldn't be able to take me. Then I expressed how my previous phone call with them I was doing exactly as I was told to do. I was told if I brought my dress in by the end of the week she would "try to squeeze" me in. Aside from the short notice of bringing it in, it rubbed me the wrong way that she would "try to squeeze" me in. I'd expect that the most important dress I'll ever buy would get a little more attention than a rushed job from being squeezed into someone's schedule. read more

Mrs. Fama is absolutely the best around. She is an old fashioned European style seem stress. She will never let you make what she believes is a bad decision in tailoring your clothing. I love the quality of her work you would recommend her to anyone. read more

Signora Fama takes great care of you. Her work is excellent and her advice is even better. She is a real European-style seamstress. I've worked with many seamstresses and she is second only to one who retired back to Romania. Keeping Signora Fama's talents secret would be a disservice to the community. If you go to her on the weekend you'll have to wait a little but it's worth it and more. Like I said her work is excellent and her sense of style is outshined only by her personality. The only thing that makes me second guess writing this review is hoping that she'll still always have the time to help me. :) read more

Fama is a gem! Super professional and ofer not only high end skills but also different solutions that would best suit your needs, body type and available fabric. I have been her client for almost 2 years now and has always received a kind and professional service. Most important: if she feels you would not like the outcome of an alteration you are in, she will tell you that to begin with and share her input and experience trying to find the best solution. Wow. Let me say how rude and unprofessional they are. Not only is there no clear direction on where to enter. Upon walking up these stairs this one lady refused to turn around and address us. Instead her back was turned to us and she screamed "what do you need". When explaining to her when my event was she threw her hands in the air and said that she wouldn't be doing it (mariann). Nothing else just walked away. It's really sad because a business like this should know better. It's common sense. I don't care how good they may be, it's not worth the disrespect. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Marianne. She is quite skilled. We found her when my wife had an issue with a dress and Marianne made it perfect. We have never looked back. I have had shirts, suits, pants and even overcoats done here and have never had an issue. Quality of work is always spot on. She is patient when doing fittings and really tries to get it right. She understands what will and will not work. She is also very honest. There have been several occasions where I have gone to her for her opinion and instead of trying to sell me on unnecessary work she has been honest and told me that the item did not need to be adjusted (this happened with multiple suit jackets where she could have just done it and taken my money). On other occasions she told me to not bother doing anything with clothes that no longer fit (I lost a lot of weight). And when I had sleeves shortened on one jacket and didn't like the way it looked she re did it free of charge. She is so good that there is sometimes a wait, and parking is tough, but it is well worth it. There is also a two week wait period for her to do the work, even basic alterations, but in a jam she will do it quicker. read more

I would choose ZERO stars if it would allow me. The owner is very rude. My mother brought her mother of the dress dress there for my wedding and it was too big on her. Right away Fama kept saying "Why did you buy this FREAKING dress" "This is going to be ruined" "This dress is too FREAKING big". Even when she was pinning it she made my mother feel horrible. Very un professional. My mother almost left in tears. I had to go pick up the dress because my mother knew she would ruin it and say she is getting it fixed elsewhere because of her horrible customer service. We took the dress to another seamstress near by and the dress is a beauty. Best decision we ever made to pick up that dress and have it taken somewhere else. Would Never go back to her again.
