I called on a Saturday at 6:30pm because my air conditioning stopped cooling my home. The receptionist said a technician would call me within the hour. After one and a half hours, I called back to let them know I did not need their service. My neighbor was able to help me the following morning. I get a text at 10:30 PM Saturday evening, saying my technician had arrived. I was not home and I quickly texted back saying I had canceled the service call. I had a contract with them to check on my system every six months. Well, they never checked anything of importance since the Freon was extremely low, and there was a buildup of bacterial gunk that was never cleaned out. I have canceled my contract with them and want to warn other customers to make sure they do their job since they did not do that for me. read more

Had a split air that was running and the air was not cooling. They came out and tech saided the help desk was not available so they would have to come another time. Asked why the unit had no power and was told it shorted out and need to be off. Next tech says you need a new motherboard $700 later and now it is show and they want to replace for $11000. Have 3 other compaines come out and estimates are 4 to 5 thousand. Oh and last tech said no charge their fault for not fixing correctly but now they are billing me. So want your unit destroyed and then get to pay 2 to 3 times what others charge then choose Famliy Air! read more

I have been a loyal customer of Family AC since 2005 and have always been impressed by the technicians' professionalism. However, I am writing to express my extreme disappointment regarding a maintenance visit on February 2nd. During the six-month maintenance inspection, the lead technician pressured me to have my system replaced, despite my repeated and clear refusal. When we moved to my father's house to change a special-order filter, the lead technician remained on his cell phone in the living room, while I had to personally carry my ladder to the second technician in the laundry room. After they left, I discovered that I now need to have a ceiling painted and a retainer ring reattached to the ceiling. April 25th, I went to change my three-month filter, I found the existing filter smashed into the unit. It took considerable effort to remove it without it tearing apart inside. Due to these issues, I must incur additional expenses to hire a different AC company to inspect my father's unit to ensure his $120 filter was not similarly mishandled. The quality of service during this visit was a major disappointment and not reflective of the standards I had come to expect from this company. read more

I have Fanily Air out for a service call this morning. The technician , Tony, was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. He gave me an estimate and I agreed and they got the job done the same day. Most of the time was spent fixing a different companies screw ups which the correct way and after he was done, he had many pictures to show me of the completed job. I was 100% satisfied. Our AC shut off on twice in the last few months after heavy rains due to a clogged drain line. We called Family and they sent someone out right away, once late in the evening. Both techs were very friendly and knowledgeable, and got it running again. The price was very reasonable especially for the after-hours call, and being in North Naples. I have been using conditioned air for the past 7 years. My system shut down last Saturday afternoon . Conditioned air was going to send a tech to my home the following Monday. They had no one available. That's not acceptable to me. I did some quick research and found Family Air Conditioning. I called them at 4pm, at 4:20pm their service tech , Jacob was on sight and repaired the problem at a very fair price. I'm lucky enough to own two homes in Naples . They will both be serviced by Family Air for the for foreseeable future. Side note. Conditioned Air always has done quality work for me in the past. Our AC hasn't been working for the last week and half, so we called Family Heating and Air Conditioning to fix it. I have to tell you that I would recommend this company again and again - Daniel in particular, because he was great! Not only was the freon low, and our unit completely frozen over but we also have a minuscule leak. Daniel went above an beyond and actually defrosted the unit (in the attic) and then returned to finish the job just to be sure his diagnostic was accurate. He also cleared and vacuumed out a clog in the vents. Additionally, theIr fee was pleasantly reasonable (was less then anticipated) Since moving to Naples, we have had terrible luck with vendors - but not today! Hopefully you don't need your AC unit serviced, but if you do, don't hesitate to call Family Heating and Air Conditioning, and ask for Daniel!!! read more

based on good reviews, I called. my home was flooded due to hurricane. The workers at my home said my ac was working, but just needed repair. I needed an estimate on a/c repair, and this company sent a guy out. i was given an estimate if $11,000 !!! I wasnt asked about anything from this guy, I was just sent an estimate by email, said any questions, call them. I didnt call them to request a new ac quote. We've used this company for many years. Lost our condo in Ian and had them come for an estimate to run duct work from roof of two story building to our ground floor unit. After two months of screwing around they tell us they can't do the work because it's "not in their wheelhouse ". This has directly set the progress on our rebuild back at least a month. They could have easily told us two months ago they didn't want the project. Here I am going into a longer delay thanks to their complacency. Worst part is they were willing to do the project if I put in a new unit for $15K! Insulting! Deplorable at the very least. I'll never use or recommend this circus act again. read more

We have just had our second air conditioner service by Family Air. If the first time wasn't great, today was superb. Each time we called for service, they were out the same day. The technicians have been knowledgeable, friendly and respectful. Today Hugh came out as we needed a new fan for the A/C. He tried for over two hours to loosen it, but couldn't. He told us, he would have to take the fan along with the housing back to the shop to see if they could release it. He made no promises, but said they would try their best. If they couldn't or if they broke the housing while trying to release it, it would be quite a hefty bill, being about $2,000 over what the cost of the fan was already. We were more then likely leaning toward buying a whole new unit as it is about 12 years old. They could have said it was impossible to take the fan off, or that the housing broke while taking it apart, especially being as old as it is. Hugh returned about 2 hours later, with a new fan, our old housing and a big smile on his face. He installed the fan and whatever else he had to do and left in about 45 minutes later. It's amazing to read about air conditioning companies that fail in all areas. Family Air Conditioning excels in all areas. We couldn't be more pleased. read more
