However, I am writing to express my extreme disappointment regarding a maintenance visit on February 2nd. During the six-month maintenance inspection, the lead technician pressured me to have my system replaced, despite my repeated and clear refusal. When we moved to my father's house to change a special-order filter, the lead technician remained on his cell phone in the living room, while I had to personally carry my ladder to the second technician in the laundry room. After they left, I discovered that I now need to have a ceiling painted and a retainer ring reattached to the ceiling. April 25th, I went to change my three-month filter, I found the existing filter smashed into the unit. It took considerable effort to remove it without it tearing apart inside. Due to these issues, I must incur additional expenses to hire a different AC company to inspect my father's unit to ensure his $120 filter was not similarly mishandled. The quality of service during this visit was a major disappointment and not reflective of the standards I had come to expect from this company.

I had a problem with pool heater he found many problems with the heater only 4 years old. The unit had a leak had to be recharged spent 2 hours. He also found issue with the pump filter. My pool guy informed me yesterday he couldn't get lid off pump for months (caused heating problems) to change filter. Mike from Halo got the lid off no charge and was able to determine the problem. He contacted the heater manufacturer, the unit receiving a new compressor covered under my warranty. All we need is to pay a fair install fee. It was so nice to meet someone who is an honest business repair person not ripping off older folks. I never used Yelp b4 yesterday I will again!

JP Brett and Sons installed an A/C unit in our condo a few years ago. My old unit was functioning…read morewell, but because of its age and the potential for problems, I opted to purchase a new one. In the first 10 years of owning our condo, and with the old original A/C unit, I had never had problems with condensation collecting in its drainage system. But after only 6 months, the new system shut down one evening. After having JP Brett and Sons send a technician out to fix it ($300+), I was told that the problem was a mold clog in the condensation drain. Since then I have put vinegar in the drain on a monthly basis. The drain has only clogged once in the past few years, but almost every time I check the unit, there is water settling out near the origin of the condensation drain and the bottom of the filter is wet. I couldn't understand why, UNTIL a few months ago I put a level on the initial horizontal portion of the condensation PVC pipe and found that it actually angled slightly BACK TOWARD THE UNIT ! It looked like my A/C unit was installed an inch or so too low which therefore caused the drainage system to angle back toward the unit. I contacted JP Brett and Sons about this, suggesting that they likely installed the unit a little lower than it should be, such that the drain doesn't angle away from the unit, it angles back toward the unit. Mr. Tercero got back to me saying, "We haven't serviced this community for over a year" and suggested "routine maintenance service" to "prevent issues with drain backups". I responded to him, thanking him for NOT ANSWERING MY CONCERNS. I told him that if his goal was to avoid the problems his company had likely caused, then he had done his job well.

We originally hired Presidential to provide bi annual Maintenance for two units on our home. They had great reviews online and very good prices for their maintenance plans. Our AC wasn't working well and the units had not been serviced since we purchased the home. Brett did a thorough service and inspection. Unfortunately our downstairs unit had two major problems, a leak in the coils with no refrigerant and the compressor was completely dead. Repairing it would be almost as much as a new unit. Our upstairs unit was ok except it needed a $250 module. To help us out, Brett offered to include all maintenance fees and repair the upstairs unit for free if we opted to purchase a new unit. We opted for the Lennox Elite with all aluminum coils and the variable speed motor for better energy efficiency and humidity control. These units are the best value for SW Florida. The install occurred a few days later and Brett and his son showed up exactly on time and completely the work with precision and speed. I highly recommend Presidential!

It was a Trane and installed by Climate Control. A man named Rodney gave me a great deal on the unit and they installed it with minimal trouble. Seven years later they came back when I had my first issue. One of the coils had corroded through. They gave me a reasonable price for the repair and because I helped the tech with the install they cut the bill by $200. Just had my second issue. Realized house was getting warmer while unit was running. Climate Control had a tech on-site within 3 hours and kept me informed by cell when to expect him. I think his name was Alex. Great tech who found a heavy wire had corroded through. He installed a new socket fixture and topped up the coolant. Best $162.00 I have spent this year. June/July/August is no fun in Naples without a/c - even for a few hours. I trust this company as a trust few others. They have been fair and honest with me.
