There are a few times in life when you look back and say, "I wish I did this earlier" or "why…read moredidn't I do this earlier"... going to Dr. Cano is definitely one of those times. Back in 2010-2011, I started experiencing upper back pains and after a few months of neglect I totally threw my back out. I went to my primary physician who gave me some mild muscle relaxers and some prescription Advil/Tylenol type pain management medicine. Nothing too strong but one visit and I walked out with 3 months meds. Seemed odd to me but I trusted the Doctor's opinion... I took the meds and was able to get through my days but they never corrected the root of the problem so I never went back for more. I thought "why mask the pain?". Over the next few years I would experience days where I felt okay then days of back pain. Then thankfully in 2016, I met Dr. Cano, who after only a few initial visits helped to correct the pain. In fact, for the first time in 6-7 years I had pain free days. Now I was not 100% cured but what a feeling!!! I continued seeing Dr. Cano several more times and each session I learned more and more as to why my back hurt and left each session with new stretching and work out techniques to ensure my back pain would stay away. My mom had been suffering from terrible knee pain after going through a slew of shots and…read moremedication she was finally sent for an MRI which showed a meniscus tear and arthritis, her ortho at the time said she needed a knee replacement, my mom has many co-morbidities and we knew that knee replacement wasn't the safest option for her. I researched alternatives for knee replacement and found Dr. Levy's office and made an appointment for a consultation. We first met with his PA Kevin who conducted a very thorough examination and as mom stated, she had never had that type of extensive orthopedic exam ever, plus Kevin is a very nice guy, patient and very knowledgeable, then we met with Dr. Levy who went over the MRI in great detail with us, we found out that mom had issues in addition to her torn meniscus (turns out at surgery she had 2 serious tears we were never informed of), he told us mom didn't need knee replacement (the practice's bottomline is to save the joint as best as possible) and went into detail as to the procedure he was to perform as well as addressing the menisci, both Dr. Levy and Kevin took their time with us and answered any questions we had. Mom had her surgery in December and is doing well. Dr. Levy and his staff are nice, professional and caring. I was so impressed by Dr. Levy's practice and philosophy that I ended up treating with him for an issue that I've had for over a year, I saw 4 different doctors by the time I was given a script for an MRI and was told nothing could be done for me, one doctor stated I may need a knee replacement, I saw Dr. Levy who easily found my issue by studying my MRI closely and I am scheduled for surgery in the near future. If it weren't for Dr. Levy's knowledge (he's a researcher and inventor as well) I still would be on the vicious cycle of cortisone shots, PT and gel shots. In my experience, it's amazing how insurance companies will easily pay for a major surgery like a total knee replacement (which I don't need) than pay for other treatment that they'd otherwise think is considered alternative, I gladly will treat out of network in order to get the treatment that I need instead of being treated in a cookie cutter way (like being told I need a total knee replacement when I had 'some' arthritis and in a small part of my knee) and Dr. Levy doesn't treat anyone in a cookie cutter way, he treats them as individuals with different needs. I highly recommend him and his staff. Mom treats in the Ironbound section of Newark, and I treat in his Millburn location and both locations are great!

Joe did an evaluation on me and I had followed the program he recommended. I am happy to say my neck, back and arms that I couldn't raise up before feels great! Vertigo is now gone and the pains have subsided. I know in the future I might have to go back for an adjustment and I'm glad they will be available for that. The staff are amazing and fun and very knowledgeable. The whole program was pain free because they work with each individuals needs to get them the best results without pain. I hated it when it ended. I am leaving also with the knowledge on how to maintain my progress and preventing this from happening again. I am so happy to have the opportunity to get treated by them.
