I work on my feel all day (restaurants) and also happen to be an avid runner/ marathoner. After years of just dealing with very sore and stiff back, hips, knees, and left ankle I thought , "It is what it is." I just had to take some Tylenol/advil and deal with the consequences of my occupation and my crazy running habit. My wife happened to see Dr. Scordilis in the past and she said he was a bit of a miracle worker but I was very skeptical and just brushed it off. No way a chiropractor could help me I thought. Then came the day when I could barely put on my socks without breaking a sweat. I sat at the foot of my bed squirming and straining to just get my socks on. It was bad. I am 39 and run marathon in under 3 hours but somehow I couldn't even put on my own socks. My wife saw me and demanded I make an appointment because it was getting ridiculous. So after maybe 7-10 appointments over the last 3 months I can say, WOW! I can once again touch my toes, my back doesn't ache all day, I can sit cross legged on the ground again for the first time in probably a decade, and did I mention my lower back doesn't hurt anymore!?! I've been able to run 15-20 mile training runs pain free and for the first time in 5 years I will be running a marathon without loads of KT tape all over my legs and ankles because I am pain free running! Every single time I've had a back issue, Dr. Peter has always been able to find the source of the problem. I have been on my ups and downs with my injuries, particularly in sports, but he is an excellent listener, is able to locate the source of my problem, based on my explanation, and gives me relevant exercises to be able to come combat my future issues. Whenever I feel terrible nerve pain, I rely on those exercises and they make me feel better until I can see him again. He is an educator and the best chiropractor in this area. By the time that I walked into Ascend Physical Therapy in early July I had significant limited mobility and discomfort. Lisa, the Physical Therapist and Patti, her assistant are miracle workers! They work in tandem like a finely oiled machine while also demonstrating compassion. Each appointment they ask how you are feeling and I had a sense that they were really listening.
