I remember visiting North Carolina and going to Gabe's. I love that it's a discounted bargain store. We pulled up and there's plenty of parking. This store is - odd.. they do carry a wide variety of lightweight home furnishings and decor, seasonal items, beauty, clothing, shoes, housewares, toys, gourmet food items, accessories, and baby stuff.. but it's so disorganized.. it's nearly impossible to look for anything.. it's like if Dollar General and TJ Maxx had a baby- it could be Gabe's.. They occasionally have a few items of interest, yet the displays are awful) yet better than than in comparison to the day they first opened)........but it's always a bit of a eyesore.. it always seems as if the manager needs to straighten the place up.. it is chaos!! Or vest are hit or miss/ sometimes low, occasionally off the mark.. I've seen carhart jackets and j crew pants for decent prices and yet I've looked at tankless candles pretty cedar as much as the original retailer and cheap looking sesdinal decor I can buy at dollar tree at an 1/8th the price.. If you want to go bargain hunting, be prepared to look around awhile- and bring hand sanitizer.. and don't be disappointed that toy couldn't find much because of the disorganized clutter!! Don't bother requesting help from an associate- even if you can spot one.. they do their best to ignore customers..

I forgot the gentlemen's name that assisted us, but he was so sweet! The cashier was absolutely hilarious and quite literally is the MAIN reason I will make the drive to flint over any location. Their motto is "Good Stuff Cheap" and I agree to an extent. I found me a good book in here. I really like their book section and especially the Inspirational section. I bought a women's Bible at another location. They are usually jammed packed with items. Take your time and look. Also, check expiration dates!

Plenty of canning supplies for dirt cheap prices and a few hand made items. I bought a fantastic stainless steel milking bucket. (We have a milk cow) They have lots of stainless moon bowls that are nicely priced. There are bulk food items, books, toys, and cooking supplies.

I met my three goddaughters here to shop for school clothes. I thought that it would be fairly expensive because 1) I'm talking about 3 girls and 2) they wear uniforms. What I didn't realize is that the clothing prices here are insanely inexpensive; of course price is relative, but all things considered I still think that it is inexpensive. This was a pleasant surprise for me because they each were able to get a lot of pieces and the total was just under 50 percent of what I originally thought it would cost me! Oh yeah, happy dance time. For the most part, the clothes were fairly organized and most of the racks were full. We shopped during the last hour and a half or so before closing; the store wasn't very busy. This meant that I didn't have to wait in line. The service was about average, nothing to rave or complain about. I give it a 4 because it is a good place to shop for youth clothing and it is a plus that they carry items that fit school uniform requirements.

I would have liked my toast a little toastier, but the bread was yummy. I was happy they serve White Pine coffee--it's delicious and local. I had a typical diner breakfast, but there are many other options than eggs, bacon and potatoes. The fruit that's a choice instead of potatoes looked fresh and varied--I would have ordered it if I'd seen it on a neighbor's table before I ordered. The restaurant is immaculately clean and the staff, including the cooks, are very friendly and professional.
