Traveling an hour and 45 minutes from Chelsea, MI to Grand Blanc, MI to…read moreattend our nephew's wedding in which my husband was to officiate, we arrived at the hotel in Grand Blanc an hour and a half prior to the wedding only to find that we had forgotten to pack his suit! No way would we have time to go back and retrieve it, so we were told to go to Craig Ryan which was a mile or so up the road. Wearing cargo shorts, flip flops and a t-shirt, we announced to the salesmen that we had an emergency and needed full "get up" in an hour! They quickly worked together in outfitting my husband in a handsome, well-fitting suit, tie and shirt and even hemmed the slacks. These guys were great to work with. They worked hard and put us both at ease realizing that he wouldn't have to marry his nephew and niece-in-law wearing cargo shorts, flip flops and a t-shirt! Thank you to all the salesmen that helped us through this stressful moment and making it a great story for whenever he wears his lovely new suit!

Fun fact, May is busy. Weddings, prom's, Bar Mitzvahs... it is all happening. Walking in a week before prom, I was concerned we were SOL but as long as we were ok with the traditional black tux, Sam's could make it happen. This was actually our first choice. We came in on a Saturday afternoon and the place was busy. After wandering around, it appeared a line was forming so we lined up. However, after a few moments, a younger women approached asking how she could help. She measured, wrote up the order and and cashed us out in less than 10 minutes. She explained what the next step would be and we were on our way. I have tagged his mom and grandma in for pick up but based on past experiences with my boys and the efficient from last Saturday I have every confidence everything will be fine. TBH I have no idea how they compare to other tuxedo places, pricewise, but I think they have a great selection and the customer service is clearly a priority. Now that I am done with dressing young men for prom I will have to find some black tie events for my husband to take me to. :-) They have a very nice selection of mens clothing and they might do alternations, although I am not sure if that is just for purchase from them or if they take outside work as well. They have a huge selection of suits and honestly without assistance we would have been overwhelmed. The store always very busy but the staff did a great job of balancing giving us attention and giving us space. They helped him choose a beautiful Italian wool navy suit that he could wear to the weddings and a dark green suit (I never would have thought he could pull of that color) for the less formal events. Walking in, this place is full of all different kinds of men's formal apparel. I saw a bunch of "loud" color and style suits and really wanted to buy one of those too! Out of my price range at the time though and not why I was there! I got measured pretty quick, given some rough estimate sizes to put on and they were pretty spot on. Just needed to get the pants tailored up a bit and my jacket sleeves brought up a touch. Conveniently next door, there's a tailor and a dry cleaner. All seem to work together to take care of their customers so whatever you buy here, you're in good hands in this strip of businesses!

I have never had this issue before, they may have forgotten to take the $39.00 sign down, but the 2 signs were up as I shopped, so much for the customer being right. But not so much that it annoyed me. I went in looking for my first quality hat, and she worked very hard to try to find one in the price range that I was looking for in a style that worked for me. Once I made my choice, she was able to shake the hat pretty well to fit what I was looking for. I'll absolutely go back.
