However, I was pleasantly surprised that Aldi's was a decently stocked grocery store, complete with frozen and chilled items. It was very clean and the shelves were well-stocked but the items were still in their shipping boxes with a side cut off to display the contents. Low budget, but perfectly workable. There was also fresh fruit and vegetables and some cosmetic or drug store consumables. So all was true: the 25 cent cart rental, not fancy displays and low prices for sure. I had purchased a dozen large eggs at our local grocery for 99 cents and at Aldi's the same large eggs were 89 cents a dozen. And so it was with other items. Cashiers accepted coupons and credit cards so that was the same. Quite a surprise and I can see that we will most likely check out our local Indian Land Aldi's as we go along. Check it out as they do have really good prices.
