Policy caused bad service at Pensacola location…read more Store Managers should be empowered to make decisions at store level vs sticking to a policy that disrupted service to guests. Guest in front of line wants to buy a candy bar and get back $15. He can't due to increments says cashier. So he says, I'll buy 2 candy bars and to transactions. $10 on one, $5 on other. Cashier states, I can only do one transaction per person. That's policy. He says I'll buy his one, then leave store, come back and buy other one. Cashier says, I won't ring it up. That's policy. Calls manager, manager, says that's policy. Sorry. Meanwhile the line is waiting to checkout due to this policy. This is an instance where manager could just let the transaction happen. Vs standing behind a policy. There would be no difference if he purchased a candy bar and received $10 back. Then if I was next, did same thing but received $5. Manager could have easily made a decision to do the right thing. We don't improve if we do not here feedback, so I wanted to take the time to write this story around the interaction I witnessed at Walgreens today. I'm a fan of Walgreens and prefer your store over CVS. After all, it's on the corner of Happiness. :-)

It is close to the airport though, so it works well for filling up your rental car before returning it.

The pharmacist, Candace, refused to dispense the remainder of the medication I had already paid…read morefor. The pharmacy charged me triple what I should have paid and dispensed less than I needed. I paid for 90 days worth of medication and I only received a 30 day supply. When I called to attempt to fix THEIR mistake, Candace repeatedly cut me off, told me I wasn't listening, and said that she would not give me the medication I was charged for. I have been coming to this pharmacy for over a decade and it has always been terrible. Extremely high turnover rate, rude, incompetent workers, and constant issues So many times I have gone without my medications due to this pharmacy's inability to function properly. The ONLY reason why I have stayed with this pharmacy for so long is because it is open 24 hours a day. At this point, I am going to get my prescriptions mailed from a different company's pharmacy. I am extremely disappointed with this pharmacy and will never shop at Walgreens again.

The rudeness was immediate and completely unnecessary -- sharp tone, impatient attitude, and zero effort to help. What made it worse was that the worker essentially refused to check us out. I've never had someone deny service over something as small as not knowing which part of a counter to use. It felt unprofessional, disrespectful, and honestly embarrassing for no reason. Everyone has bad days, but this went beyond that. If a job involves dealing with customers, basic courtesy shouldn't be optional. I hope management pays attention, because no one should be treated like that over a simple purchase.

Wawa is also known for their subs, which they call hoagies (it's a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania thing, which is the area that Wawa started in).
