This is a bin store. Maybe you're familiar with the concept of these stores, maybe not? I'll…read morebriefly explain. Large bins are situated throughout the store. And depending on the day you are inside the store, determines the cost of whatever is in the bins at that time. For example: Tuesday everything is a dollar. Wednesday everything is fifty cents. Other days are more expensive. Debit cards are accepted. I recommend bringing cash. This store won't be for everyone. But those that love treasure hunting and finding deals love this type of store. I can't even describe what all is in stock here, other than to say it varies. I've bought DVDs, Blu-ray's, Funko pops, team gear and clothing, touch tone ground line telephones-some cordless, some not (Why? Why not?), cell phone cases, packs of themed laptop stickers, swim trunks (yes, swim trunks-multiples of them and they've made it through multiple summers and multiple trips to the beach and pool, so, yeah!) etc, etc. Keep in mind that these things are in bins, often unwrapped and unboxed and rarely in pristine condition. But on, $2 day, $1 day or 50 cents day? Who really cares? And when you buy it there are no returns. This store is located in the Shreve City Shopping Center close to Dollar Tree and Walmart, and also another favorite store of mine, Roses.

It reminds me of the old school stores they had in the country in the 1970's and 1980's. The type that you went and visited your grandmother and this was the store she'd take you to, and let you pick out one thing. It's the past like that. It's also stuck in time. And it ain't going nowhere in a hurry. It's defiant to the future and online shopping, and A.I. and all that. It gives you something all that shiny, glitzy, brain-numbing stuff can't give you. I can't even begin to explain what that is. But you'll know it and you'll feel it as soon as you enter. Canned goods galore. Things that don't expire until 2038. Real bomb shelter kind of stuff. The stuff you find in granny's pantry. An entire aisle devoted to granny candy. Butter scotch this, hard candy that. Clothes. Dog beds. Cat toys. Housewares. Seasonal decor. Like I said. This store has it all and it gives you things the internet can't. You'll feel so much like your grandma shopping here, that when you go to check out, you're going to start fumbling around for your checkbook only to realize you're not carrying one.

Walmart. What's there to say really? You could say if you've been to one you've been to them all…read more That's true except for one thing: service. The level of service makes or breaks a location. Every customer should be treated equally. Period. I hate to be "that guy" but I've been completely ignored so many times at this location because of my race that I've lost count. For example, the cashier is black, the people in line in front of me are black and the people behind me are black. The cashier carries on a lively conversation with the black people in front of me. When it's my turn there's no greeting, no nothing. The cashier doesn't say a word to me at all. Then as I'm leaving I see the cashier immediately start up a conversation with the black people behind me. I mean what am I supposed to think? Or even worse, the cashier completely ignores me and starts talking to the black people behind me in line while they're still helping me! Outrageous! Also, the cashiers need to stay at their register. If a customer forgets something or gets the wrong thing that's their problem. They'll have to go back and get it later and go through the 10 items or less line. I was here on a very busy day and the people in front of me realized they didn't like the brand of something they had so the cashier actually walks off to get what they wanted. This sounds like good customer service at first but when the lines are 10 people deep it's not. Then to make it even worse after the 10 minutes she was gone she got back then left again after she realized she had also gotten the wrong thing. Totally unacceptable. Everything frozen I had was melted by the time I got to the register and everyone in that line with me was livid. This has also happened more times than I remember. Walmart managers at this location need to instill some serious customer service skills in the employees and if the managers also lack customer service skills then someone from corporate needs to step in. If my employees treated anyone of any race like this they would be gone.
