I just got canned cat food at auction that was over 2 1/2 years past expiration date. This was not disclosed or visible anywhere. Which is why I gave them 3 stars. They do not accept returns. The retail store may have some deals if you have patience and can get something cheap enough, as most of the boxes are sealed (you are not supposed to open them) with very limited descriptions on them. The employees are very friendly and helpful.

Boise Bodega is right next to my hotel which was the Sparrow, and the Sparrow Hotel was immaculate…read more like weirdly clean. so that already set the tone for the day. walked into the bodega and immediately noticed everything was laid out very intentionally. not in a fancy way, just in a way that made sense. cheaper stuff first, then normal priced stuff, then the more expensive stuff. i liked that because it let me mentally commit to how much money i was about to spend before i actually spent it. felt respectful. the guy running the place had immaculate vibes. calm. friendly. not doing too much. he was wearing a UCLA sweatshirt which caught my eye because i've got family members who go there. i asked him if he went to UCLA. he said no, but he's reppin it for me. that made me laugh and honestly set the mood for the rest of the visit. whole place felt super chill. no rush. no weird energy. just a solid neighborhood spot that knows exactly what it is. grabbed what i needed and left in a better mood than when i walked in, which is not something i can say about most convenience stores. liked it enough that when i got back home i actually told people about this place, which i almost never do. usually i forget places the second i leave them. would go back. good store. good guy. good system.

This Tuesday Morning is a go-to shopping spot for me. It's a place that takes time. By that, I mean…read moreyou don't want to run in here and expect to find what you need. There is reason to the layout, but like most stores of this ilk, you need to spend a minute to look over the items on the shelves to see what's in stock. The pleasure comes from the seeking and finding, so there needs to be time to do that. Otherwise, things can look jumbled and mismanaged here. Things I like: you can find some really great brands for a decent discount, the baby section can provide good gifts, and it's possible to find foodstuffs from Europe that are hard to find elsewhere. If you're looking for new pillows, they typically have a nice section. Items go on sale after a long while, so don't expect extra discounts on something you spy for months down the road, if it's still there. The store has a bit of a warehouse feel, so don't expect a lot of ambiance. But if you're looking for gifts and need to see something to know you want it, Tuesday Morning is a good hunting ground.

It feels like one is sometimes playing shopping cart bumper cars in TJ Maxx Home Goods with other shoppers that include local interior designers cruising for good design items at value prices. But it feels like one could shoot a cannon off in the aisles of this Tuesday Morning and about 90% of the time not hit a living thing. That this location of discount, odd lots chain retailer Tuesday Morning is so little shopped is both inexplicable and understandable, all things considered. Not that one might make this a destination but if you're in the neighborhood it might be worth the pop in. THE GOODS There are good buys to be found here IF one knows what one is looking for and looking at for price point and quality. There is not the breadth of items to be found here as a TJ Maxx (a furniture piece or two here as opposed to many furniture options there) nor the depth of options within any given category (as example a handful of large framed mirrors or table lamps here as opposed to dozens of choices for each there). But there are good buys for some things. For example, Tuesday Morning has a contract with high end, luxury linens company Peacock Alley to sell their discontinued lines and colors. Most stores in the Tuesday Morning chain get some of these to sell. Depending on demographics some stores get more or less of these. In the Tuesday Morning in my old stomping ground in Bend (OR) there were typically dozens of Peacock Alley items including sheets, blankets, pillows, duvets and bed covers. This Boise store had but couple of handfuls of Peacock Alley items. But if you're in the market and willing to go back each week to see what might come in. They also have items here you might not find or find as many of at TJ Maxx. For example, they have multiple aisles of children's toys and "stuff". A very little girl today was excited to have found just the right lunchbox as her birthday gift. That children still recognize and use lunchboxes and can get excited over one in a pink princess motif made me smile in light of...well...everything. They also have things like gift bags and wrap, "fat quarters" of fabric (quilting folk will know what those are), scrap booking and craft paper supplies, kitchen tools, area rugs, woven baskets, plant pots, glassware, patio items, coffee table books (very few and you need to know where to look), cookies and candy bars, trays in assorted sizes and materials and different brands of paper wrapped soaps that even if you don't want to use them look and smell lovely(vetiver, anyone?) tucked a glass bowl or assembled on a tray in a bathroom...and the list goes on. Overall the quality of items here seem to trend middl to lower end. THE SERVICE The staff is super friendly and helpful and keep the store in good order and cleanliness. . They greet every customer with "Welcome in to the store!" and always ask at the end if you found all you were looking for. Very nice. THE RESTOCK DAY For this store trucks arrive on Tuesdays and merchandise is moved to floor by Wednesday they tell me. (Bend's staff reported deliveries at least twice a week.) THE MUSIC Seriously. I love the background music mix here. Today I got to sing along (well...almost) to Donovan and had to stop myself dancing along with Average White Band. THIS N THAT: 1) PARKING: Private lot that always has spaces. 2) ACCESSIBILITY: Accessible parking in lot. Level in from walkway through door. All on one level. Ample aisle space to meet ADA clearances makes is easy for all shoppers to have good and equal access. 3) NEIGHBORS: Asian Cuisine, a very good little restaurant, is "around the corner" of this same strip mall.

So, criss-cross apple sauce everyone STORYTIME I When you're a manufacturer/vendor and you agree to be on Amazon whereas you sell to Amazon and then Amazon sells to its customers, most vendors choose to pay Amazon 2% for handling the returns. This means that the returns do not go back to the manufacturer or the vendor. Please note that in Seller Central, there is also a similar program but some sellers can opt to have returns returned to them. Steelz from what I saw on their shelves seems to be a home for returning goods from various stores and platforms. It also looks like Steelz is the local recipient of left-over stock that Costco and others don't want on their shelves anymore. STORYTIME II Ever since the asterisk in the upper right-hand corner of the price matrix sign at Costco? If you see the asterisk, it means that the item has a number of days before it leaves Costco. That item may or may not sell out. If it doesn't sell out, meaning sealed, factory new items are left over, Steelz will most likely buy them at a discount ( liquidated price agreed upon with Costco and others ) and then Steelz is now the owner of the inventory of sealed and new items as well as any returns that Steelz wants to buy. While I walked through Steelz, I noticed many items from Costco. I couldn't determine whether or not the pricing at Steelz was indeed a deal. In my opinion, a couple of dollars saving wasn't worth it for me but I do see value for customers who are not Costco members. If didn't have a Costco membership but wanted to shop at Costco, then Steelz is potentially a great deal. Steelz also has many Kirkland products in smaller individual sizes like toilet paper and paper towels. We didn't buy anything at Steelz that day but I would be interested in going back and doing some more looking and pricing. There's been some discussion about the return policy or returning products overall. I can't speak on this topic since I have not purchased anything. If I do purchase anything and if I have to return anything, I'll update this review.

And no it wasn't written on the box. The scale was also dirty. Then I got a box with two cast iron pans. Because of history, I decided to open them in the parking lot. The, big one was used with rust. All in it grease all down the sides of the pans grease all over the bottom with rust, and the protective handle was breaking off in tiny pieces. Needless to say , 13 minutes after purchase, I was refused my money back and had to get a Shop card. When its the stores fault, the store needs to issue a refund. The Prices are more than Costco's prices. at least when you go to Costco, you get great customer service, refund, and reliability. BTW where is the owner?

That all changed yesterday when we made a donation of quite a bit of electronic goods from my parents home. There are carts outside to leave your donations but make sure to follow the rules and guidelines online about what you can leave and what items like LCD screens and monitors have a fee for donating. Inside the Reuseum is a treasure trove of all sorts of electronic goodies from years past. If you're an electronic enthusiast, you will find yourself here for awhile reminiscing about the past and how much electronics has changed over the years. I happen to find two Polaroid cameras from the early 1960s and quickly snapped them up. If you're not looking for nostalgia but actually need a particular cable à la Fry's Electronics, you'll most likely find it here. Reuseum is a cool place and definitely warrants a visit if you have a fondness for all things electronically.

The county dump will take all such devices, but if you want to do that for free, make sure it's the only sort of thing you have in the truck.
