Haven't bought a lot here, but they certainly have some great deals on scratch and dent stuff from Costco. Bought a really good Vizio surround sound system with soundbar. Got home, it worked great but after downloading the manual, found I didn't have the right remote. Went back with the wrong remote and they didn't have one so was told they'd order a new one. I called a little over a week later and they said they had it in. Picked it up, tested, all good. Now I can access all the options it has and what a difference. Bonnie was a great help and everyone I've met there seems to be very friendly, polite, and attentive. Now if we only had some extra money to go get this $250 stand-alone fireplace they had out front today! read more

I've heard about Steelz but never have had the chance to visit until recently. I am very familiar with returns as I manage a team that oversees 14-18 online vendors with many of them being on Amazon, Walmart, and Costco. So, criss-cross apple sauce everyone STORYTIME I When you're a manufacturer/vendor and you agree to be on Amazon whereas you sell to Amazon and then Amazon sells to its customers, most vendors choose to pay Amazon 2% for handling the returns. This means that the returns do not go back to the manufacturer or the vendor. Please note that in Seller Central, there is also a similar program but some sellers can opt to have returns returned to them. Steelz from what I saw on their shelves seems to be a home for returning goods from various stores and platforms. It also looks like Steelz is the local recipient of left-over stock that Costco and others don't want on their shelves anymore. STORYTIME II Ever since the asterisk in the upper right-hand corner of the price matrix sign at Costco? If you see the asterisk, it means that the item has a number of days before it leaves Costco. That item may or may not sell out. If it doesn't sell out, meaning sealed, factory new items are left over, Steelz will most likely buy them at a discount ( liquidated price agreed upon with Costco and others ) and then Steelz is now the owner of the inventory of sealed and new items as well as any returns that Steelz wants to buy. While I walked through Steelz, I noticed many items from Costco. I couldn't determine whether or not the pricing at Steelz was indeed a deal. In my opinion, a couple of dollars saving wasn't worth it for me but I do see value for customers who are not Costco members. If didn't have a Costco membership but wanted to shop at Costco, then Steelz is potentially a great deal. Steelz also has many Kirkland products in smaller individual sizes like toilet paper and paper towels. We didn't buy anything at Steelz that day but I would be interested in going back and doing some more looking and pricing. There's been some discussion about the return policy or returning products overall. I can't speak on this topic since I have not purchased anything. If I do purchase anything and if I have to return anything, I'll update this review. read more

I always give people the benefit of the doubt so I went back at least 3 times and they let me down again. I bought a scale in a box. It didn't have any batteries like the box says. And no it wasn't written on the box. The scale was also dirty. Then I got a box with two cast iron pans. Because of history, I decided to open them in the parking lot. The, big one was used with rust. All in it grease all down the sides of the pans grease all over the bottom with rust, and the protective handle was breaking off in tiny pieces. Needless to say , 13 minutes after purchase, I was refused my money back and had to get a Shop card. When its the stores fault, the store needs to issue a refund. The Prices are more than Costco's prices. at least when you go to Costco, you get great customer service, refund, and reliability. BTW where is the owner? read more

They have many things there that are about $4-5 cheaper than other places. I compared prices there for Kirkland (Costco) items, and they were consistently cheaper than Costco for exactly the identical items. They have a lot of good things, even furniture! I will be back. read more

just left the store on I walked to the store in 5:55 and the clerk at the store told us that she was closing in five minutes to leave in five minutes. She yelled three more times during that time telling the customers to leave. Very rude. I ended up not buying anything at all. Very poor service. Where is a manager? 1-2$ off of is hardly "steelz". I found everything I looked at online for cheaper, even found something for cheaper at Sharper Image which usually has the highest prices for items in my experience. You can't claim to be a liquidation store for offering around 10% off of items, that's less than a regular stores sale prices. Typical stores offer 20% off plus for their sales. The name STEELZ is misleading and the claim of being a liquidator is a farce. I saw so many people waking out with nothing in hand, maybe they also realized the prices are too high. If you want to move more product, give actual deals on things. There were even some products I liked and wanted, but I couldn't justify spending more money for them in Steelz than online, (and not even on marked on sale online!) I am so disappointed, I was really excited for this place and am so let down. The employees were nice, so there's that. But it's basically a regular store, not a discount store, not a liquidation store, and with the worst return policy I've ever seen. Will not be back. read more

The owner posted on FB Marketplace a cleaning item. I asked if I could pay for it and my brother could pickup. He lives very close to the store. I purchase things for him as my is Nephew is adult non verbal, low functioning autistic. So I order things so they get out of the hpuse to pickup. She responded "not interested". Not sure why? When I asked why she just responded the same. I didn't know about this store until I saw her post. She lost customers from my sub division due to her poor business sense and lack of explanation. Beware of deceptive pricing signs. I walked up on a whole bin full of floor mats. There is a sign on the outside that says "Trendsetter Mat 35 x 47" for $12.99. Inside the bin, there two different kinds of mats. Several mats are labeled "Trendsetter" and several mats have no label at all...but they are all in the same exact bin. Not one or two of each kind of mat...there are numerous. So I assumed that all mats in the large bin were $12.99. I brought a mat up to the register along with my other stuff to check out. The mat I brought up rang up for $35.99. I mentioned the sign on the bin and was told that was only for the "trendsetter"mats. I mentioned that the clear mats had no labels and were intertwined with the trendsetter mass. The manager said they could not be responsible for customers moving the mats. I made the recommendation to place two signs on the van to prevent confusion in the future...one sign for the "Trendsetter" mat and another sign for the clear mat. Seems pretty logical to me...but the manager didn't think so. She just walked off with a half ass apology. I asked her to fix the issue...not apologize. read more

I love Steelz. You can find amazing deals on all kinds of things. The only drawback is that their inventory changes daily. If you see a great deal one day on an item, they may not have that item again for a long time. That is just the nature of the store. But, on the other hand, this also makes every shopping experience different as you see new products every day. read more

Some of the products are good find since some are not available on our local Costco. I think the price is fair but it could be better, specially you can buy it a lot cheaper in Costco when they're like on sale. The one thing I don't like is they have items that are already expired and they still don't remove it from their shelves (like more than 2 months expired). If you're not lying attention you might grab the expired ones which happened to me. Overall though I like their product offering. read more

Not sure I'd call 10% off original price a "steal" but hey, that's just me! Wide selection of Target, Costco, and other stores returns or damage. They have a lot of food, like smashed boxes of Cheerios and pop tarts. For what you're getting (off season or damaged products) I don't feel the discount is worth it. Unless, however, you are getting a big quantity of something. We are considered getting laminate flooring here, slightly cheaper than getting it directly from Costco. They have boxes of Costco baby wipes all dented up for about a dollar less than Costco. I guess if you really want to save a buck or go on a treasure hunt to find something you didn't know you needed, this might be the place for you. read more

I would give them a zero rating! If you do want to buy from them, open the box before you pay for anything. They are horrible about returns. I bought a garage hanging system and could not return it. They never told me I was not able to buy the second box which contains half the mounting hardware and brackets needed to install it. They never said the one box for $100 wan incomplete! So, I had to run to Home Depot and spend over $120 to complete the install. I will never set foot in their store again! read more

Like many posts here, i wish i had read them before i shopped here. I bought a sweatshirt labeled "medium" which was so small it wouldnt fit my 87 lb granddaughter. No store credit. No manager to talk to. (Clerk is afraid of getting fired, which is telling of how management runs this business). Be wary of what you purchase. If it plugs in or runs on batteries, check it in the the store. Once you take it out the door, good luck for a return. They have more excuses and rules than goodwill with the customers who support them. The customer in front of me purchased a waterpik device 2 days earlier, and it didnt work. No refund for her, no store credit. "We test them. We dont know what you did at home" Seriously?!? Why dont you just post a "NO REFUNDS. ALL SALES FINAL". At least we consumers will go into the purchase with knowledge that we won't get a refund unstead of cheating us. Some good deals, some not so good. Purchased a power strip. tried to return it the same day unopened due to that didn't have the quality that I needed for my television for surge protection. was told when I purchased it that I could return it within 30 days. when I went to return it the same day was told there's no returns on anything electrical unless broken. Purchasing it was bad experience with the cashier and also not being able to return it was also bad. This store has very poor management. Beware!!! read more

I am very disappointed in this business. I asked customer service before I bought 2 bathroom sink if can they be returned for credit if they did not work for us and were told as long as the items did not say final sale that we could get a credit if returned to them by the 7th day of purchase. I bought them back by the 7th day and was now told that they are not returnable for even a credit for their store. First off all they are going to lose a lot of customers by turning them away. 2nd of all their employees need to be on the same page of their return policy. You can get better service at a thrift shop to at least be given the option of a credit. This place is a joke!!! read more

This store sucks the place is dirty and the discounts were bad. They had a protein drink box that had eighteen shakes and there was one that had nine and they took off like five bucks. They have a weird back room that is super small and the rest is the warehouse. The price tags were messy like there was two of the same light bulbs and one was five dollars more. But the thing that made me leave was that they played Disney songs and it was horrible. The music put me over the edge and I needed a break after l left the store. I took my friend in for the first time just the other day. It was my first time since Steelz moved. The new, much larger warehouse is great! We both found several treasures. It is so nice they have fitting rooms at the new location! They often have broken cases of groceries from Costco. I like being able to buy one to try instead of a whole case at Costco. It is like every other store I walk into: you have to watch the prices. Sometimes you find a great buy, and sometimes you don't! read more

Torn about this place, I went to Costco before going here to compare prices. The difference isn't much. The product here is appears to be returned items that are missing things or damaged, with not a huge savings. May have just been the product I was comparing. For example, newest model of food saver @ Costco 120, food saver (older model) in a card board box in pieces here, 100. Terrible customer service! My husband and I were looking for some ski/trek poles. He found one set that was still in the package (not missing any parts) marked $23.99. There were others there that were not packaged, and missing several parts marked $19.99. He grabbed the packaged one ($23.99), and one set with missing parts and we went to the counter. When the girl (blonde, who was very polite) rang us up, the price on both was $23.99. My husband politely questioned the missing parts price and went back to find a set for $19.99. (We weren't going to pay $23.99 for a set with several missing parts). He found a set ($19.99) and asked to be rung up for that one instead (we had already paid for two at $23.99 but hadn't left the store) the girl seemed confused on what to do (from looking at the complaints, probably because they don't do refunds and she didn't know what to do - however we hadn't left the register). She went to get help. In comes Stephanie. My husband politely explained the difference in price and parts missing. Stephanie didn't say anything, so he briefly went over it again. Stephanie then snapped "We don't need to go over this over and over again"- like she was speaking to a child! Up until this point, we had no complaints with the store, but this was over the top RUDE!) I told her that her customer service skills were horrible, and having spent 20 years working many levels of customer service, this was unacceptable behavior. Stephanie just got more indignant and I asked for a manager. We asked for our money back as we refuse to spend money in a store that treats it's customers (the bread and butter of retail) so poorly. I told her she should have kept her feelings towards our questions to herself. When leaving we asked another employee what Stephanie's name was, and Stephanie said loudly "Oh I'll be talking to the owner myself!" In other words, she'll be heading off my complaint. Stephanie shouldn't be working with customers. This is the wrong position for her. In my opinion, she can't control her mouth. If she continues as is, I know she'll be upsetting customers in the future. Good luck with that. As you can see from my Yelp history, I am not an unreasonable poster. Only when something is egregious, will I post a complaint. Stephanie was extremely offensive to my husband and I for simply having questions. I will never shop at Steelz again. And I will make sure that everyone I know in the area doesn't shop there either. I'll be posting this review on my FB page and several other social media sites. read more

This store was better than expected. I think prices are fair-especially if you can get something at a 20% discount which they do often. I try to pop in once per week to see what they have. They have a lot of items from Costco that are returns or scratch n dent. My only gripe-and its a consistent one-is that the owner is not friendly and I always feel like I am just in the way. She is constantly running into me carrying items and stepping right in front of me without even waiting until I am done looking at things-she just steps right in front of me. It makes me feel very unwelcome. Also, I have bought 2 heavy items and not once did she or anyone else in the store offer to help me to my car or even open the front door for me. In conclusion, prices are reasonable but customer service needs some major work. read more

This is by far the worst furniture store I've ever had the unpleasure of dealing with. VERY unreliable and unprofessional. I waited 3 days for my couches to be delivered and when I would call to see why my couches weren't at my house I would get the runaround and was told multiple times they would get back to me. I had to tell the people buying my old couches the deal was off because of Steelz. If you want to wait forever and get horrible customer service, this is the store to go to. I for one will NEVER go to another Steelz and I will never recommend them to anyone. I've had better customer service by people off of Craigslist than I had with these "professionals" read more

Extremely disappointed in the service and my experience here. My wife bought me a Christmas gift from here (around $150 spent). It was something that required a fit for an existing appliance at our home. Long story short, it did not fit, and therefore is unusable to our family. When I took it into the store, they said they could not return it unless it "could not be used for its intended purpose." Apparently fitting does not fall into that category. *I will say that they have this policy posted in the store and on the receipt, so shame on us. What I can't fathom is how a business would not be willing to give in store credit (which I would have gladly taken) in a scenario like this. They still have our money, our loyalty, and our positive word of mouth. On the contrary, now all they have is our money. Needless to say, I will never shop here again, nor would I recommend anyone else shop here based on this less than stellar experience. read more
