My daughter Sydney just completed her speech therapy at Family First, and we had an AMAZING experience. Brittney, Cheryl, Marcy and the rest of the team were so helpful from the start. Marcy (who works in the front desk) is very knowledgeable about the regional center and has contacts to help expedite the process. We've worked with Brittney for about a year and a half, and she has been instrumental in helping my daughter gain the confidence and skills to work on her expression. The therapy is play based and she makes it fun! We consider her more than our therapist, but a friend. Cheryl is amazing as well. She is sweet and is great at getting shy kids to open up. The absolute best! This was our third attempt at speech therapy through the regional center and I am so happy we kept asking for a different place because we scored once we found this place. Brittney Goodwin was our speech therapist. There are seriously no words to describe her dedication. She would text us and call us in between appointments to check in, asked about the overall health of our family, and wrote extensive emails and reports to assist in our transition to the school district once our daughter aged out of the regional center. Also, the office manager Marcy fought to keep our services when they were prematurely terminated because we moved. She did that completely on her own without us even having to ask. They are amazing!!! I was refered here for my 2 year old girl, after few sessions i saw progress and after almost a year my girl is talking more. I highly recommend. Excelent therapists we worked with Britney and Jenny im so thankfull for them, is a plus they also offer therapy in spanish, for my girl that's her first language; 2 times a week one session was in spanish the other in english, i am very happy with the results and their professionalism. My son has been coming here for over 6 months. We witnessed significant improvements on his speech and listening skills. I'm very happy with their service. Marcy took care of all our paperwork and assisted us in all the transfers. She is great with replying to emails and calls. Jackie is an amazing therapist. She cares for her students. She's very patient and my son loves being with her. She is very good at her job. We can't thank her enough for being a great teacher. The center has multiple rooms. My son was referred to Family First by the Regional Center when he was 1 1/2 and I am so grateful that we found them. He probably spoke around 30-40 words when he first started and now he speaks in 3, 4, and sometimes 5 word sentences! I can see a marked improvement in his speech development and the SLPs at Family First played a huge role in that. Their speech therapy is play-based, so my son LOVES seeing his SLPs, Melissa and Jackie. I often have to carry him out of Family First because he doesn't want to leave! My son attended Family First Speech for about a year. He came in on a weekly basis and worked with Mineh. I am elated with the progress he made under her guidance. She was very warm and gave tips that I could utilize with my child at home. My son absolutely loved his experience at Family First! He would often say that wanted to go on the days we were not scheduled. Our son was experiencing a speech delay at 18 months, and we were referred to Family First Speech & Language. Lucky us! Our therapist was Cheryl, and she was just fantastic. Always warm, joyful, and sweet, developing a lovely, professional relationship with our son. He really enjoyed attending his sessions, liked the variety of toys and play offered, and began progressing very quickly. We started at twice weekly and cut back to once weekly, at the suggestion of our therapist, once his speech development appeared to be approaching an age appropriate level. He "graduated" after just six months with the clinic! Amazing! The staff is accommodating and friendly, the office is cute and clean, and our therapist was very good at her job. We could not be happier with our son's Speech Therapy with Dear Mineh . She has made amazing progress in the short time since we have started therapy and it is amazing to hear her sweet voice as well as her care and compassionate treatment towards our son! We initially sought therapy because of son's speech regression and delay. Dr Mineh has been so helpful in coaching my husband and I and working with our son to speak by various, individualized techniques. Brittney at Family First was such an amazing, supportive, and thoughtful speech therapist for my son. We worked with her and the team for over a year and the thing that really made the lasting impact on us was not just Brittney's deep knowledge and experience, but how she educated me so I could continue the work done in our sessions throughout the week. Every step felt like one we took as a team. Our plan adapted with my child and his needs. She was patient and engaging. She kept my toddler engrossed the entire hour, and had him working hard while also having fun. By the time we were ready to graduate, my son had but just caught up, but was ahead. His teachers regularly tell me what a strong communicator he is. And now that we have another child, I'm much better equipped to support her speech development for all that I learned alongside Brittney. My son had a wonderful experience with the speech pathologists at Family First! We started services in early June of 2021 and just recently finished services in the end of February. Lucas worked with Anabelle primarily and would occasionally have make up sessions with other speech therapists. He always came into sessions with bright smiles and was ready to work with them. His father and I saw the tremendous growth in his speech. When he started services he had under ten words and he finished treatment services using 3-4 sentences with a vocabulary of over 80 words. We started going to Family First starting around September/October 2022 and we ended our services February 9th, 2023 when my son turned 3. We worked with Cheryl and Marcy for the time we were there and my son absolutely loved them! He can be stubborn at times, but they didn't force him or make him uncomfortable during any of his sessions and he always looked forward to seeing them. Even though we no longer have sessions I do see improvements in my sons speech as well. Being able to sit in the sessions I was able to pick up on a few tricks, and Marcy and Cheryl were always very informative when I had questions. The front desk was also really easy to work with. We had to reschedule a few times and had no problems. I always recommend Family First and Cheryl and Marcy to any of my friends with kids who have any type of speech delays. My son worked with Ellie for about 6 months and we started seeing results within a month of starting speech. Although it was all remote, Ellie did an AMAZING job engaging with him and also gave me great feedback at the end of each session. My child had speech therapy at Family First Speech Therapy with Brittney for over a year and a half. He was two in a half when we began and had zero words. She helped us navigate this worrisome time. Brittney had so many ideas and was so good with him. He loved her right away and always looked forward to his fun and interactive time with her. I would watch her and how she played with him and think how she has such a natural gift with children. She also helped guide me and taught me so many things to do at home to help him progress. She went above and beyond when I was worried or upset about something going on with him. She really understands children and all their complexities and has so many good ideas and suggestions to offer. My child ended up progressing and now never stops talking. We graduated out of speech therapy in December. Brittney really helped us in countless ways and was the best support during a very challenging time. I recommend her 100%. Called around Memorial Day and spoke w/Mina about enrolling my daughter in speech therapy..I was told I would get a call back the next day to schedule..that was several weeks ago now...very poor...especially when I would have been paying over 1k for 4 sessions. Anybody looking for speech therapy for their child should consider going to the school district that is assigned to where they live and sign up for speech therapy for free. Glad I was told about that before I wasted my time and hard earned money paying individuals who obviously don't care about helping children in need. read more

My son Zayn has been going to speech therapy at Family First and is enjoying his therapist Cheryl and Mineh! They go above and beyond every single session including giving me handouts, and emails and answering all my questions. I was eager to learn and do the homework and can see the progress as he is developing quickly. The office is decorated super cute, has easy parking, and is conveniently located in Pasadena. Marcy is always friendly and kind at the front desk and has a huge smile on her face as she works. The toys are very engaging, clean, and organized and have inspired me to fill our home with functional toys that assist Zayn's progress. We have learned so much and we are so happy we found them! I was overwhelmed once my son was diagnosed with a delay and within a few sessions I was completely confident about this play-based therapy and feel like I am so much more informed as a mom to support my son in his development. Our daughter Katrina had speech therapy at Family First from when she was 21 months old until she turned 3 years old with Melissa. From day one she was always looking forward to her sessions as she was born during Covid lockdown time and was really deprived of settings where she can play and socialize. We saw immediate improvement with her and brought those ideas on play routines and methods on how to develop her speech and communication skills at home. The manager Marcy and staff are all very welcoming and great at communicating availability. She would always be flexible with my daughter's session times and would even offer make up sessions in case we would miss one. My daughter's therapist Melissa was amazing and is a big part of her early growth and development. My daughter loves playing and learning with her even when she was having a cranky toddler day. We will definitely miss going to Family First as it was a great experience for our daughter and very highly recommended for anyone who needs to put their little one through speech therapy. We were lucky enough to have Brittney as my daughter's speech therapist for 8 months! From the first session I knew my daughter was in good hands. During that time she went from 0 words to learning multiple signs and 25-50 words including two word phrases. Brittney is so patient and understanding when it comes to toddlers and big feelings which made it so much easier and enjoyable for my then 2.5 year old. She goes with the flow and adapts to whatever your child need so they're always learning but having fun while doing it. It's really amazing to see a therapist cheering on your child as much as you are, you can truly see that it's her passion! We were so sad when our time at Family First came to an end because I knew we would never find another therapist or office like them. It really does feel like a family. We had the pleasure of meeting Mineh in July of 2019 when our youngest daughter was identified as having a developmental speech delays. Mineh visited our home twice a week from July 2019 to November 2019. She brought with her an impressive air of professionalism and compassion, and always arrived fresh and energized and ready to work. Each visit, in addition to the therapy for our daughter, Mineh shared suggestions of things we as a family could do at home to further her progress. The results of her hard work and dedication were visible almost immediately. Our daughter is more focused and engaged, and added a vast number of new words to her vocabulary, while learning to easily transition from one task to the next. Mineh was never late to a session, despite the rigorous schedule, She was flexible when conflicts or sicknesses kept appointments from happening, and always went the extra mile to accommodate everyone's schedule and re-book - not an easy task!
