I had been under the care…read moreof a neurologist, as my migraines were very difficult to treat, even with migraine medication the meds never worked and the side effects were awful. I started with regular chiropractic adjustments every week, and it helped a lot with reducing the migraines, tension and tightness in my neck and shoulders. However, the relief was only lasting about 4-5 days, before the muscle tension would start to creep back. About a year or two of doing just chiropractic adjustments, Dr. Rachel and I discussed incorporating acupuncture with my weekly adjustments, and I cannot tell you how big of a difference that made. After about 4-6 weeks of doing acupuncture every week, the muscle tension and tightness stopped coming back. If you suffer from migraines (migraine headache with aura), you know how big of a deal that is. It was absolutely wild, because it had been years since I was able to go to bed at night and not have any pain or stiffness in my head, neck, or shoulders. And I now get to sleep like this every single night!!! Fast forward a couple more years, and I have still been getting acupuncture every single week, and for the last 11 months, I have incorporated light therapy with my weekly chiropractic and acupuncture appointments.
