She made everything easy by providing a few options for excursions for each day along with descriptions to allow our family to choose and easily customize our trip to meet our needs. The hotel choices were fantastic and the day tours were exceptional. She helped us to best determine the number of days to spend in each area we visited (Rome, Florence, Cinque Terre, Bologna and Venice) to see and do what we wanted in each area. We had the family trip of a lifetime with everything completely organized so that we could just focus on our trip and family time spent together. Exceptional service! Kris planned a trip to Africa for my mother and a companion who are seniors - both with mobility issues. My mother had dreamed of a trip like this but didn't think it possible due to arthritis and neuropathy which makes it difficult for her to walk at times. Fear not - Kris had everything completely planned for them to accommodate for the mobility issues to allow both of them to truly experience everything just as an able bodied person could. They were completely thrilled with the entire trip and experience. Kris' experience and knowledge of Africa exceeded all of their expectations on a trip. Jenny was very generous with her time and helped us figure out exactly what type of safari we should book given our preferences. She answered every question we had and meticulously planned everything so we would have the trip of a lifetime. We're not used to traveling in luxury, so we initially thought we could do without some of the details Jenny recommended, but in then end we realized everything Jenny recommended was well worth it. Jenny always gave us options within our budget, but also gave us a good understanding of what we could get for a bit below and above our budget. The only "hiccup" we had was one of our regional flights got cancelled, except Jenny and the team took care of it without us even knowing. All we had to agree to was to fly on a private plane at no extra cost to us, which was actually better than our original flight, which got cancelled. So no stress / worries / cost on our part, which was great. Overall everything went very smoothly. We're used to dealing with small problems / adjusting our plans when we travel, but this experience was flawless.

We spent an unforgettable 10 days hiking the (express!) Inca trail to Machu Picchu and visiting Lima, The Sacred Valley, Aguas Calientes and Cusco. I could write 10 pages about how much we loved traveling with Knowmad so I'll try to stick to the highlights. My husband and I usually handle all of our own travel planning, but when we came across Knowmad while researching how to visit Machu Picchu we realized we would probably get a lot more out of a trip to Peru traveling with specialists from the country.
