I had been wanting to try Kingburger for years, but every time we were in the area, we were always just passing by and had to get to where we were going on a specific schedule. This past weekend we had some time and stopped on the way home. My husband and I each got a King Cheeseburger and split a large poutine. The King Burger has two beef patties, triple bun, Kingburger sauce, and fried onions. The cheeseburger just adds cheese. The patties were real, homemade beef patties. They weren't too thick or dense and were juicy. The cheese was real cheese slices and not Kraft singles. The fried onions were good, not too many and not overwhelming. The Kingburger sauce seemed mostly like a mix of ketchup and mustard and there was far too much for me - I would've liked to taste the beef more because it was really great! I was also hoping to give more burger to our little kiddo without the sauce or just minimal. The buns were nothing special, but were fresh, soft, and helped soak up the sauce. In fairness, I like light sauce, whereas my husband likes everything super saucy and he really enjoyed it. All in all, it's definitely a good burger and I might try the Super Burger next time, which also comes with back bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and subs fried onions for raw. The poutine, unfortunately, did not the have cheese curds I was craving, but the gravy was very tasty and the fries were so perfectly crispy. As a big cheese lover, dare I say that I might just order fries and gravy next time. The portion was pretty big, too. Super affordable, weekday specials, and fast and friendly service. Love a small, local, family-owned restaurant that's been around for ages. There's a patio to the side and parking, but no indoor seating and truly a drive-thru with a drive-in theatre restaurant vibe. I'll need to try one of their many milkshakes next time. They also have a "cruise night" with classic cars, which would be awesome to check out.

The sandwich was good, well put together and veggies were fresh, but I swear their chicken was bigger and crispier before. I was a little disappointed in the size of the sandwich, but the baked potato filled me up. I haven't had a baked potato in awhile and was in the mood for one. It was good but I thought it also came with butter so I wish I had asked for some because I was craving that buttery potato flavour. Not bad for some fast, but it's pretty busy with both Wendy's and Tim Horton's in the same spot.

But what takes the cake... my 3 piece regular had one broken chicken finger and literally 6 onion rings. Nobody opened anything, nobody ate anything. My mom, Sash and I were flabbergasted. I went calmly back to get our meals replaced and was called a liar and a loser and a terrible customer and apparently I do this all the time... like chill bro I have complained once before. They grabbed my food and locked me out, no meal replaced or money. I had to call the police and at this point I'm hyperventilating. The police got there and gave me a no trespass notice. Like what the hell ? Dairy Queen Renfrew has gone down hill. I'm not one to be public about such drama but I am appalled.

The people in the restaurant working don't care that it takes that long, no "sorry for the wait". I get home with the hotcakes for my children, low and behold they forgot to put the syrup in the bag! What a waste of time and money. I wouldn't ever go there again except this is the only McDonald's in my town. If you're looking for a good breakfast in a hurry, skip McDonald's.
