Wow. No words. AMAZING…read more There's no sign for Sasha, just a white sack that says poutine, hot dogs, sausages. There's seating in the back. Amazing. No words it was immaculate. Poutine had lots of gravy and cheese curds, every bite had the perfect ratio. Even with so much sauce and cheese, fries are crispy even after 30 minutes of eating. The gravy is so well flavored, I liked the bowl clean of the gravy with my sausage. The polish sausage was amazing- Smokey juicy and grilled so yummy. The bread was soft and melted so well with the sausage. I put some gravy on top of the sausage and wow. A MUST! CASH ONLY BTW! The lady so sweet and explained the different flavorings of the sausages :) SO WORTH IT! The best places are the local mom and pop shops! :)

We walked over to this little stand, which I actually had no idea existed, to get something quick to-go. There was no line late on a Friday night. We got a few different sausages and poutines and brought them back over to eat on the Laff's patio. It had been a long while since I had a grilled Polish sausage, so that's what I got with a little ketchup, mustard, and some chopped raw white onions. The sausage was perfect, tasty, hot, and not overcooked, just what I was craving and very satisfying. There was only one person behind the counter, a young guy who was very sweet, super fast, and we were really impressed he remembered everything we ordered. They have a small menu of your standard chip wagon fare - fries and poutine, hot dogs and sausages, pogos, and drinks, plus ice cream. Great spot that's open late (until 3am I think) for before/during/after a night out at the bars.

Decent roadside stop with a nice staff. Ordered their poutine, their "Big Mac" style burger, their…read moreregular cheeseburger, and hot dog. The poutine was their star item. A very flavourful dark gravy and a generous amount of cheese curds. For my own preferences, the fries themselves were a bit thinner than ideal - but still good. The regular cheeseburger was ok and the "Big Mac" special was a disappointment. In a nutshell, the burger patty didn't taste fresh - like a pre-frozen McPatty. I wouldn't order again. The hot dog was better than expected - mainly because the frank was decently sized. In any case, I came to the area for cable kiting and would stop by this joint again next time I visit. I'd order all poutines though... that item is a solid 4+ stars.

After spending a weekend in an isolated cabin, I was craving poutine, and boy oh boy did this place deliver. My friend and I ordered poutine, onion rings, a burger and a hot dog. The poutine was one of the best I've ever had!! Fries were golden crispy, lots of cheese curds and the gravy to die for. Mmmmm. The onion rings were also amazing, crispy and delicious. The dog and burger were good as well, but not as mind blowing as the poutine. FYI this is a pick up only kind of place. You can either call to place an order or you can go in person and it'll take 10-15 minutes.

I went here with my brother to get some fries, pogos (aka corn dogs, I hadn't realized that "pogo"…read moreis an exclusively Canadian term until my American friend, Karen K, pointed it out to me, lol) and hot dogs for my little nieces. I have never had a pogo in my life and have no inclinations to change that. I also don't like hot dogs, so all I tried were the fries and they were great. The fries were a bit sweet (from the type of potatoes they use) and they tasted fresh and not from frozen. I liked the texture, they were not mealy. I like that they are unsalted. I think a large was like $6 or something like that. Pogos and hotdogs are $0.99 each. My older niece who is a picky eater and had never had a pogo before, took one bite and proclaimed "I LOVE POGOS!" Lol. She ate one and a half pogos, which is a lot for her. The breading looked crispy. The hotdogs were tiny and they were steamed. The nieces rejected them so my brother and dad ended up eating them. The place is really popular; we had to stand in line for a long time. Decor is old school diner-like. It reminds me of those casse-croutes that are ubiquitous in Montreal like La Belle Province, Lafleur Restaurants, and Green Stop. Most food here is greasy and fried. If you're trying to eat healthy this is not the place to go. It's not my kind of place, but for what it is, I think it's good. It's in a plaza, so lots of free parking.

The gravy didn't have much flavour wasn't warm enough, so the cheese barely melted. It just kind of sat there and was a bit congealed. Fries were nothing the write home about either. I was expecting a lot better based on the reviews. Maybe it was an off day who knows. The inside needs some updating, as it's kind of dark inside, they barely had any lights on.
