BUYER BEWARE: I asked the sale person before purchasing an item if I could return it if it didn't work for me. She told me I could return it within 30 days for in store credit so I bought it. It didn't work for me and when I returned it a few days later, I was informed that they would charge a 25% restocking fee, that that policy was printed on the receipt I was given AFTER I had paid for it. If I had been informed upfront that I would only get 3/4 of the price back in credit, I would have not purchased it. All they had to do to restock the item was hang it back up in the empty spot where it had been a few days before. At least I know where not to shop in the future. If you show them your ID they will look you up and profile you. As well as he has a criminal record too. Uses "family" as a front. He buys things that people worked really hard for, for dirt and also turns a cheek to buying stolen goods. I would give them negative if I could. I went to find cheap sockets to work on my car. No one offered me any help. I went through hundreds of sockets to find the ones I needed. No one is going to buy them. I had ten used misplaced sockets and he wanted $10. The other store sent me there. I told him, I could buy a new set at your other store for ten dollars. He smirked and said "well". I knew right then it was a condescending game to him. So I didn't even bother. I had $1000 in my pocket. All anyone had to do was care. I despise customer service like that. He was the big heavy guy. I had been in there other times before and they treated me like they really don't care. They know they are going to get business. They lost my business for good and I shop regularly at pawn shops. Don't go there. I was upset leaving their. When I called the store to talk with the manager, he went on to cuss me out worse then anyone ever has. Should fire those guys. Very poor. read more

These guys are crooks! Stay away from them. They'll say anything and everything to make you believe that what you're selling them is worthless, then they'll turn around and sell it for for the exact same price of said product as if it were brand new. My wife and I were trying to sell them a musical instrument that we had appraised by a professional. We had sold products to them in the past for a reasonable price. We went to them offering half of what it was appraised for and they told us that we were being unreasonable. This is a very dark, and crooked minded people running a business in a friendly town. I love this place! I love that you can go in and find some pretty good deals on certain items and then if you come in needing a loan you never get the feeling you're being reamed financially speaking or that you're a less than human, irresponsible person because you need to pawn some of your stuff. My kids love coming here because of the little toys they have to give out. I love the amazing customer service you're always guaranteed to get no matter who it is you're dealing with. read more

My husband and I went to the Family Pawn Sunset location, and while we were there I helped an young man choose a ring for his wife, not sure if he purchased it. The owner David Hunter got agitated with me because I was telling the young man that these prices seem a little high. I have been buying diamonds for over 50 years. Then David Hunter became very rude, swearing at me and my husband using the F Bomb several times. Insulted my husband and then insulted me more than once. I have pictures of this man and how he was yelling at us. No business owner should swear at their customer using such language. I asked the girl helping the young man if she had the eye glass to measure and see the diamonds, she said she didn't have one. I then asked if she had a diamond eye piece to check the quality of the diamond, she said she didn't. I know they do have both of these items, because I have been there before and used them. They seem to be very angry and trying to hide something. Maybe the diamonds are not real or maybe very flawed. I did notice flaws in some of their diamond jewelry. The young man was very thankful for my help and said he really appreciated the help. I would never recommend the Family Pawn to anyone. Be very careful if you purchase anything there. You may not get what you want and get something that is worth nothing. BEWARE. How can a business owner treat people like this. I am thinking about filing charges against the company for embarrassment and intimidation and for the foul language. I am a member of the LDS church also. Think Twice and be careful of Family Pawn. I brought in a so called '2001' microwave- there is no way they could have know this with out look up the serial number, which the employee didn't . So they said they wouldn't take the microwave because it too old. They could have bought the tv for $10 and likely sold it for $20 doubling their investment. The same Pawn shop was selling 1980's sewing machines which are not vintage. I will never to the pawn shop again. I have bought camping equipment from them before, such as para-cord. read more

Have done business with them a couple times, fist went ok the second time went very badly the manager at the Washington store Josh was rude and very unprofessional. Not only did I take out a large loan but did in fact pay it off just took longer then expected so they made 3 times what the loan was then continued to nickel and dime me till the very end. After being a returning customer you would think they would treat you a little better. They clame that they are "FAMILY pawn" and are nice and friend but that was the opposite of what you will get treated like there. I was in a bad spot and need a little help, if I would have know I was going to get ripped off this bad I would have been better off just not even dealing with these crooks!! read more

Very disappointed in the loan process!! You can potentially pay thousands and STILL owe the original amount, even on a high interest credit card SOME of your money goes to the principal. NOT HERE, borrower be warned if you always pay the minimum you'll be paying them forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not a SINGLE PENNY of your payment goes towards the borrowed amount!!!!!! Have been treated rudely here by management a couple times. Although I deal with most pawn shops in Saint George, this one seems to feel the most entitled and arrogant. The prices are above Express Pawns and they give you less for the items you bring in. I told them straight up that they were stiffing me in a situation and the guy had a total attitude about me even trying to pawn something. Gave me less than a fifth of what they sell them for, I basically took from it that he was saying if you do not like it screw off. Are the prices great for a pawn shop no. Are you treated with respect and given help yes generally by the women there but the management doesn't understand customer service it would seem. I don't know if they had a problem with me personally or if that is just how they are about things because they have never spoken a word to me about any complaints as far as me being a customer with them. When it comes down to it, I am very happy with Express Pawn in Washington been doing business with them since they opened and have always been treated kindly. These guys not so much.Also would you please quit playing those horrible commercials in the theater, we get it you guys make more than enough money off of people to blast commercials everywhere they go. Alright that last part was out of spite but come on seriously lol. I did business with them today and that will be the last time, I just don't like feeling condescended to by employees who have bad attitudes because they don't like dealing with people. read more
