I lost my 16 year old cat (Calibear) in January. I had her cremated, and chose the simple white container. When I got the remains back, I also got a clay paw print of my Calibear. Brittany was very sweet and helpful. we had already spent a ton of money on medical bills for our pups but they didn't survive. Because I'm sorry, but animal ashes do not have chunks of turquoise, cut up cards with numbers on them, or what appears to be crushed up sea shells and sand in them!!!! I had a rat that was almost 3 years old. And anybody knows they don't live very long. His name was Buddy. Unfortunately he passed in his cage and I was scrambling to try to find a decent place with a decent price to cremate him. A veterinarian recommended family pet services. I called them and they charged $85 to cremate Buddy for me. Very reasonable. They were kind they are compassionate and just great people The family that runs it is awesome! Now my 13-year-old Siamese/Manx cat, Charlie just passed away this morning. And I'm waiting till they open to find out how much they're going to charge me. But I'm assuming from the last time that it'll be A way better price than the vets. I'm glad these people are around! Great service and great people! Also a recommended them to a friend of mine who had a goldfish for many years He actually survived many years and they were great with her she will go back to them when she needs them again! I didn't know that they will do the euthanasia or transport your beloved fur baby but now I do that just makes me love them even more! read more

On a Tuesday morning, our sweet Buddy Boy passed away. My partner called Kalani at Family Pet Services after doing some research. He gave us the option to bring him in but we just couldn't bring ourselves to do it so he willingly obliged. I was skeptical at first when he showed up with a "body bag" and a truck but after the compassionate and proficient service I highly recommend him. Our baby's ashes were ready to be picked up only 2 days later. I was also surprised that the ashes were put in a nice decorative tin with the words "till we meet again at Rainbow bridge". They also made a cute little paw print keepsake for us to remember Buddy Boy by. It's hard to make these decisions so last minute but you can't go wrong with Family Pet Services. read more

Kalani is the most caring person. He has cremated all of our pets over the 18 plus years we've known him. We had to use his loving service today as we said goodbye to Chuy our Pomeranian. He's moved to South Randolph and he's the same loving man you'd ever want to entrust with your pet's cremation. I cannot recommend anyone more than Kalani. read more

I have worked with Family Pet Services for 7 years between 2 veterinary clinics. The customer service is great and they are very kind and caring when dealing with the pets. The gentleman that picks the pets up from the clinics is always nice and shows respect to the deceased pets. The owner (Kalani) has personally come to pick up on off days when we needed him to. I worked with 2 other cremation services previously with another clinic and they don't hold a candle to the service of Family Pet Services. Family Pet Services stepped in to assist us when we lost our beloved pet overnight. They were willing to take his body that day and his remains were ready for collection the next day. I recommend Family Pet Services as from the first call I was treated with care and compassion. Kalani sincerely cared about my dog and myself, coordinated the appointment with the vet and answered all my questions. He explained all my options and helped me decide what worked best for all of us. I made an appointment with the vet for the next day but my sweet bubbie died on his own the night before. I know for sure I believe in euthanasia so nobody suffers more than necessary . When the vet came to take my dog for cremation again, nothing but kindness and compassion. Always hard to lose your 'baby' but nice to have people to help you on the journey. read more

When I lost my beloved yorkie, Ciara, I had no idea where to call, as I had moved to Arizona with her three years ago. So I started searching online and found three places to call. Two I left messages with, but the third, Family Pet, answered the phone immediately. A very kind man, Kalani, answered all my questions and gave me detailed information and instructions to bring her in. I signed in up front in the funeral home and then drove around where Kalani came out and met me at my car. I had forgotten to cut off a piece of her hair to keep and he kindly loaned me scissors and even gave me a bag for it. But most of all, he was kind and handled her with care and dignity. I was able to pick up the ashes two days later, even in the midst of the Covid-19 mess. He brought them to me in the office, showing me the delicate little pawprint impression that was included and the container with her ashes. I had never had a pet cremated before. My last pets as a teen were buried in the backyard of my childhood home. Then I went about 5 years with no pets! About 15 years ago, my cat Baby chose us as her owners, when she started appearing for breakfast every morning. She was a joy to have around and gave me love and comfort when my mother passed 11 years ago, and when my best friend, my grandmother died. Baby passed away on Sunday night and I wanted a cremation. I called and researched until I settle on Family Pet Services as my choice. They were less expensive than the Humane Society and much closer to my home. Also St. Mary's Animal Clinic states on their website that they also use Family Pet Services. I highly respect their opinion. I called and the phone was answered right away. They took down my information quickly. When I arrived 30 minutes later they had the paperwork ready which I signed. Someone came to my car to retrieve Baby. They told me they were sorry for my loss. I am so grateful I found such a caring, professional place. I highly recommend this to anyone faced with this difficult situation. read more
