This was next level caring by Dr Bri. When Dr. Bri arrived, she took her time throughout the entire process. She was very kind and patient with my 9 year old son. She allowed us time to be with Violet before she had to leave without feeling pressured to let her go. We did not feel rushed. I especially appreciated the gentleness of how Violet was treated once she had passed. I trusted that Dr Bri took amazing care of her in her transport. Communication and support in the days was a special touch.

The last pic I took before they came to put her to sleep. This is exactly how she was when it was all done. Very comfortable.

It was a "joint"…read moreeuthanasia as both pups had various health issues that could not be fixed with another visit to our local vet. Anyone with a pet, faces the inevitable and it's not an easy decision but most of the time, it is the only decision one can make and the most humane and merciful. Such was the case with my pups. Dude was 18 years old and Patti was 15 years old. Both were rescues. I love them dearly and miss them every day. When it came time to let go, we chose Kindred Spirits. I had never used a service in home and always went to the vet's office. This time, I decided that I did not want to subject my pups to a 20 minute drive which was always stressful to them, causing them undue anxiety. I wanted their last moments to be at home, surrounded with their family and in a place that was familiar to them...not antiseptic with other dogs barking and the chatter of strangers. I am so glad we went with Kindred Spirits. From my first contact with Alice, who set-up the appointment to meeting Dr. Kellie Barrett, DVM who handled the pups with warmth, kindness, compassion and gave us as much time as needed to spend the last moments with Dude and Patti. It was the last thing I was able to do for my loving, dear pups and it was the best thing for them. I will never regret the decision. I only regret that I couldn't have them with me longer. My thanks and gratitude to both Dr. Barrett and Alice.

Our sweetest 13 year old mix, Nemmie, took a sharp turn for the worse after a brief battle with splenic cancer. I reached out to AARP on a Friday in hopes of scheduling them over the weekend. I was able to schedule online, and Shelley reached out the following morning to confirm the appointment and provide resources and instructions. Unfortunately, Nemmie's condition rapidly declined and it was clear that she would not make it to the original appointment. I reached out the Shelley, who was able to reschedule our appointment to that same day to make sure our sweet girl could be put to rest with dignity and little to no suffering. Dr. Falcone was the vet assigned to us. She called me roughly 30 minutes prior to the appointment time, letting me know that she was in the area and could arrive before the 12pm appointment. However, she also let us know that it was completely okay if we wanted her to wait until the original appointment time so we could spend an extra few minutes with our girl. She arrived promptly at the appointment time, and was nothing short of an angel for our girl (and for us) throughout the entire experience. I can imagine that having her job would not be an easy one. However, she handled our situation with such grace, empathy, and kindness. Before the procedure started, she took the time to walk us through each step of the process. She also made sure to be as gentle as possible, while getting Nemmie as comfortable as possible before everything started. We also have another dog in the house, who was very curious about what was going on. Dr. Falcone was so sweet to him as well, and let him sniff her, give licks, and be all up in her business prior to the procedure starting. She also did not rush us at any point in the slightest, and gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye to our sweet girl. Once the procedure had finished and Nemmie was no longer with us, again, Dr. Falcone let us have as much time as wanted to say our final goodbyes. She also allowed me the privilege of lifting my girl onto the stretcher, covering her with a blanket, and helping carry her out of our house and to Dr. Falcone's car for transportation to the crematorium. One small little touch that I'll forever remember. She was also very clear that there are two options for having your dog's ashes returned to you: either having them shipped to the vet, or shipped directly to your home. AARP's services, quality of care, and empathy for their clients & their pets are truly second to none. The opportunity to have been able to put our girl to rest in the comfort of her lifelong home while surrounded by love and comfort, is truly something that you can't put a price on. When your inevitable duty as a pet parent to see your pet off to the Rainbow Bridge comes, I can't recommend using All About Restful Pets enough. They truly are the best at what they do, and make the worst day of your life just a little bit better.

Although I took their information, I didn't think much about it until my 10-year-old Mastiff, Hagrid, was diagnosed with cancer a couple of weeks ago. I can honestly say I am so grateful I found out about them. They were fantastic and offered the option of a sprinkling ceremony, which allowed us to place flowers and herbs on Hagrid before he began his journey. It was a beautiful experience that meant so much to my family and me. Additionally, Cholla collaborates with a shelter for older animals. When I dropped Hagrid off, I was able to donate some of his items, knowing they would go to a good cause.
