From the very moment they answered the phone the love was apparent. The staff was so beyond empathetic and friendly it was hard to believe. I talked to several staff and they were all like this. Just beyond caring, they used our pets name and sent them love. Dr.Bri was just the sweetest most caring human. It was really terrible to have to put our dog down, but Lap of Love was really excellent. We're based in Tucson and had an extremely positive experience with Lap of Love. They were transparent about costs on their website, which I appreciated. So many companies will take advantage of a difficult situation and not be transparent about costs until you're already on the phone with them. They took our card info upfront so we didn't have to deal with payments during the day. They provided us with a short arrival window, which was helpful because it would be stressful to wait around. We called on a Wednesday and were able to schedule an appointment for Friday morning. They were very gentle with our dog and very clear about what would happen when, while giving us the reigns in terms of saying when things should happen. read more

Dr.Lisa Shriver, Was very pleasant to work with during our very difficult time when having to euthanize our precious "Lil Man " Chico -5lb Chihuahua .He had been part of our family since he was 4 weeks old and lived to be 14. He had a mammary cancer that he was not able to beat.We tried everything possible to save him including chemotherapy,but it did not slow down the cancer.So to give him the BEST life ever we stopped the chemo after being told he would only make it another month before he would have to be laid to rest. Well he did give it all he had and lived for Exactly 1 more year to the date from when the chemo was stopped.He was a fighter but he finally told me he had ,had enough,and I had to accept this. Dr.Lisa arrived to our home on time and was very calming,relaxed ,quiet, honest and detailed in how the process would go,reassuring us the entire way that this was the best decision and that he would not be in any pain as the process occurred.I will say that Dr.Lisa is a very kind ,compassionate,loving lady and without her My family would not have been able to get thru this process .After all was done,i truly felt that this was a very peaceful experiment and she was reassuring that we gave our "Lil Man "the best life he could have asked for even in the end. On what is one of the worst days of your life, you want someone like Dr. Lisa to help your best friend and companion on to his or her next life. Our ginger tomcat, Herschel, was dying of kidney failure and a tumor in his throat that, toward the end, would not allow him to eat or drink. He was a cat we rescued years ago after he had been abandoned, fell on hard times and nearly died. We gave him the care he needed and although he occasionally showed neurological problems he recovered and endeared himself to us -- even though he never became a "lap cat" and tried his best to terrorize our other three cats. When we knew it was time, we had Dr. Lisa come to our home where she gently and lovingly helped him leave this world. I cannot say enough about her kindness and concern. read more

I'll start by saying: Dr Lisa is a wonderful human. We had to euthanize our 13-year-old shepherd mix last week. She was an old girl and had recently been diagnosed with lymphoma, though she hadn't been feeling good for months. Last year on the Tucson subreddit, there was a discussion about at-home euthanasia. Prior, I hadn't known it existed. But since my dog Nenya was elderly, and didn't like going to the vet's office, I made note of the most popular at-home end-of-life vet: Lap of Love. Dr Lisa was specifically mentioned there more than once. When it came time, I knew exactly who to reach out to. It's so hard to know when it's the right time. It's so hard to make the decision to end the life of this adorable creature and family member you've been providing care for years. But this is just more caring, isn't it? The final act of love. I so appreciate that Dr Lisa adapted to the situation (Nenya wanted to be in a small bedroom and so that's where we gathered). She explained everything, let things proceed at our pace, and later sent a card to the house. That was such a nice touch and I completely acknowledge everything that was done to make this time easier, for all of us. We can't say enough good things about Dr. Kenzie. Our cat was on his last days, and she was able to come by on less than one day's notice. She was compassionate toward us and our other pets. She made our cat comfortable with a tuna treat and administered the meds in a way to make our cat comfortable and relaxed, and he then passed away peacefully in our arms. I'm sure that she and the other vets see this all the time but she still was able to show compassion and bring us comfort. Losing a pet is one of the worst things you can experience but when the day comes we absolutely recommend Lap of Love and Dr. Kenzie specifically. read more

One of the toughest things I have ever had to do was make that call to Lap of Love to have them come out for my dog Chula. She was 18-19 years old and it was just time as her quality of life was going down hill. I made the call and the person answering the phone today was amazing. Very compassionate and took her time explaining everything. Dr. Quick came out and was caring, friendly, and thoughtful thru the whole process. Gave her a treat while she did the first intermuscular shot which just made her super relaxed. Then after she was just relaxing, gave her an IV and then told me when she was going to do the final injection. Chula passed looking at me and in total comfort. She was having trouble breathing before and the last minute or so went back to normal and then stopped. I couldn't have asked for a better way to end a great 13 years. The price of $395 included everything as well as a paw print of her. It would have been extra for cremation but I was going to bury here at my family home here in Tucson. We said goodbye to our lovely Lily this week. She was a 14 year old Golden Retriever who blessed us with so much joy and love. Dr Lisa and Lap of love - aTucson were beyond amazing . Thoughful, caring,empathetic. She sat with us and Lily and let us love her to the end . She really listened as we worked through and relived again our time with our Queen. Located in Florida, so don't know local providers. Very horrible administrative staff...cancelled my appt that was scheduled 6 days in advance, while the cat was dying. The cat died Tuesday, the day of the cancelled appt. The day before - almost 2 hours was spent trying to keep the appointment. I had to beg the staff to leave it scheduled and of course they wouldn't.
