Office space needs updating; exam rooms are dismal to say the least. They let go the only provider…read moreat the office I have trusted not to screw things up. But Family Practice it appears has corporate "minds" for which the only goal is profit. So they don't treat their office staff like anything other than numbers. And at this point I don't really trust their acumen or intentions. Pretty sad what the physician/patient relationship, once something sacred actually, has now become. A "tech" from the office was the one to tell me I had cancer. On the phone. And then they missed ordering a test so I had to call and tell them what radiology suggested. The walk-in labs and X-rays on site are extremely convenient. Now you need to find providers who have onus. There have been multiple questionable orders since I first presented to office in 2005, which I pretty much just sat on because I appreciated the convenience. But when a provider looked at my chest x-ray because I was sick, febrile with rigors, and I pointed to an apparent circular pocket in in my right upper lobe but the provider said no, think that's a cross section of a vessel . Provider wanted to give me a Z-pac and I just said no, I'm not messing with this, and requested Augmentin. That was a Thursday. The following Tuesday was when I got a call from office staff to tell me I had a right upper lobe "necrotizing pneumonia," and needed to see Pulmonary. I saw a doc in Philly who put me on mega respiratory drugs and told me my provider had chosen the right Antibiotic. When I saw pulmonary a week later for follow up, he said I was lucky because when he initially saw me he was feeling pretty sure I was going to need bronchoscopy. Thankfully with his aggressive treatment I improved enough to avoid the bronch. No help from Family Practice. But I was impressed with the x-ray on Thursday then results given the Tuesday which essentially should have been ASAP or stat orders? And since the tech who called me couldn't answer any questions about the diagnosis. But that's the help you get when you treat your employees like a number and why anyone would want to work there? It's really bad. The admins don't reward loyalty with anything. But they'll fire you irregardless of how well you do a job to replace you with someone accepting a lower salary. My friend worked for FPC for 35 years and then was terminated when she and all the other employees refused to take a significant pay cut. No salary, no healthcare benefits, no warning. A whole bunch of employees So all of this just says profit before patients and it seems like people are talking about FPC, and it's not anything good. You'll destroy yourselves with your own reputation.

Well i called mifflinburg office and they explained that to me and they were willing to get me set up again as a patient and were very nice about it. Selinsgrove office was the total opposite. No wonder they only have a 1 star review lol
