First off. Is my first visit to this location. Not impressed! The SMELL is awful. I only stayed to do my laundry because I did not have time to drive around @5 o'clock in the morning looking for another place. The SMELL smells like when you leave a load of laundry that finishes without it drying & you go to get it out of the washer. Maybe the smell is coming from the Mop Bucket around the corner in the back. Or maybe there is a leak somewhere ? The television had no remote, no music in there. The whole time I was in there I heard rattling rooftop. Sounded like the roof was going to rip right off. Also 2 different Spanish men entered the back entrance of the building. Not together, separately about 5 mins apart. They looked seedy to me. They said nothing to me. Didn't seem to have any purpose there. Both of them went to the area around the corner in the back of the Laundramat near the Mop/Bucket. Maybe is was a Drug Drop??? I noticed "after" they entered the back building entrance the door would not stay closed. Kept swinging open. I certainly will never return to this location. Not much parking at all, It smells discusting & I did not feel safe there. Besides that the way the Laundramat is set up inside lacks convenience! read more

Been here before to wash comforters and such. Today I found several of the machines reeked of mold and had mold in the soap fill area.

As a kid growing up in Chicago, I spent a lot of time in laundromats. Occasionally, an apartment we lived in had laundry facilities in the building, but not often. When I was a teenager, laundry became one of my weekly chores, so I'd haul the family laundry to the laundromat and plop down with some homework while our clothes got clean. This laundromat is small and no-frills, but everything seems well-maintained and clean. That's a big plus. There's a drink machine, a soap dispenser, and a change machine as soon as you open the door. None of the machines seemed to have out-of-order signs, and the whole place was nice and clean and well-lit. There's free wi-fi (check the signs for login information), and there are a couple of TVs in the laundromat as well. This laundromat also offers drop-off service and laundry lockers. There's a wash sink that's easily accessible as well. I only used a couple of dryers on my visit, since our dryer at home broke suddenly and left us with a few loads of very wet laundry that needed to be dried. But I can say that I'd definitely come back if I needed a laundromat. I've definitely been in some scuzzy laundromats before -- and this is the complete opposite. We have been here several times now & the facicilites & machines are always very very clean! (can't stress this enough) There is a small bathroom in the back that is actually clean as well, so unheard of at public places like this! Tonight we met the owner for the first time, he was walking around greeting everyone & wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving. He seems to know some by name! How cool is that! Talk about a man who cares about his customers, he shook our hand & thanked us for coming to his establishment. We'll continue coming! -forgot to mention that all their machines take quarters or credit card & even Apple/Android pay! So convenient!! read more

After looking at all the options available to get my laundry done in Schaumburg, IL before Monday morning, I called Family Pride around 6pm Saturday night. The owner answered the phone and, with extremely minimal prompting from me, offered to wait 15 minutes for me to come drop off my clothes (he had been about to walk out the door) and agreed to come in on Sunday to get my clothes washed and returned to me before Monday morning. When I arrived, the owners were both there, and were very friendly. They walked me through the drop-off process, explained how the locker pick-up worked (I had already looked at their video online which was a fabulous explanation), and let me charge the order or leave cash in my locker upon pick-up (they work on an honor system???). They sincerely apologized that they hadn't fully called out the $20 minimum charge, but honestly $20 seemed pretty cheap to me--although admittedly it wasn't the $1.35/lb of clothing they normally advertise. I was pleased that it wasn't any extra for the "rush job" or working Sunday, they just normally have MUCH bigger loads than mine for drop-off/pick-up laundry and need to account for the scale factor, regardless of the fact that I only had one week's worth of laundry. They also asked if I had anything else I wanted to leave with them since it was going to be a $20 min--and so I did end up leaving my outer coat (which worried them as it was going to snow later, they were so sweet! Seriously, though, getting my clothes done at my hotel would have taken until Monday afternoon and been around $40, give or take, and would not have included my jacket or allowed me to give special instructions. I am taking off a star because I had to call the location to confirm my clothes were done so I could head down and pick them up. The owner answered the phone when I called on Sunday after 6p and also apologized for not calling, saying he normally does call but thought that confirming to me the previous day was enough. It wasn't the biggest deal in the world, so this would probably just be a half-star if I had that option, as when I did go to pick up my clothes, the locker had my name, opened to my code, and had all of my clothes either beautifully hung or folded. I'll have to get my laundry done again next weekend and I think I'll come here again. There is a closer location that would take my clothes on Saturday morning and turn it around that day, but the drop-off cut-off is pretty early and I have no idea how dependable they are. Hence, Family Pride with it's solid work and upbeat owners seems like a worthwhile repeat to me, despite the $20 minimum and the 15 minute drive. read more

Ugh. This place is excessively expensive. $3.75 for their smallest wash. Then $5.75 and $7.75 respectively. For that one would assume the dry is free. Nope. One would assume they would have someone actually working onsite to handle a $3.75 loss I encountered. Yes, they have a slip they leave to fill out but honestly, I'm just not going to bother. I'll never come here again. For what you will pay here you could almost just drop off at CD1 cleaners by 9am and have your clothes back folded and clean by 5pm the same day. If money is no object, this is a clean enough facility I suppose, although, it reeks of mildew. Never again family pride, never again read more

Fantastic drop off service, Tony and his wife Hilda are amazing people. Very caring, hard working and honest. I really appreciate them, they came through when our washer machine broke with same day service. Very open and honest. The owner will even text or call hi when the clothes are done. This place is fantastic! Came in on a Saturday with no wait for washer or dryer. Quick 25 min wash and the dryer was less than an hour! Clean and tidy-the owner Hilda was there and gave me full instructions and info on how to use the machines! She spent the whole time I was there cleaning the place and machines. Right when I arrived the owners were immediately welcoming and asked if I had been there before. They offered me a seat and asked if the door that was propped open in the back was too chilly. I thanked them graciously and they continued to be very helpful and told me they opened up the place with just him and his wife. Highly would recommend this business!! I was looking for a 24hour one and came across this on yelp and called the number . The owner answered I explained to him I might not be done at 11pm when they closed and asked it that was okay to be here after hours or do they kick people out right at 11, and he assured me that it was fine and that I would be safe after hours as well as telling me that it was closely monitored by video cameras. He also explained to me what lights would turn off and where I could fold my laundry. He was very nice. I will defiantly be recommending this business as well as coming back! read more

I just moved to the area and haven't had the time/money to go shopping for a new washer or dryer. This place was super clean, none of the machines appeared to be out of order, free wifi, flat screen TV with cable and a Dunkin Donuts or Dairy Queen just a few doors down to help pass the time. The washers start at $3.50 which I felt was a little pricey, but they were very fast and got my clothes super clean. I will definitely be coming back here until I get my own machines. This place is under new ownership, and wow what a difference! This place got a huge face lift. This place is very clean and the new owners are soooo nice! They have DROP OFF service! I can't tell you how much I love this service! There is a nice TV to watch and plenty of space & machines to get your laundry clean & folded! This is my preferred laundromat to go to in the Schaumburg-Roselle area. I previously went to Kingsport, but they only have two really really big washers and one is constantly broken. The owner and his family are really nice and helpful and they're usually on-site on the weekends (I've never gone during the week.) Pros: - They now have credit card mechanisms to pay for washers - They have at least 5 really really big washers - Clean bathroom - Clean machines and floors - Their washers often have three different settings for how many washes and rinses, all at three different prices. - They have a nice tv that you can turn off or turn down the volume if you like. Cons: - There are no chairs where you can sit at a table and work while you wait. There are plenty of tables to fold laundry and plenty of chairs, but they're all linked-together. This is the only reason why I docked it a star. - They've recently raised their prices, but not too much, and it's understandable with all of the improvements they've made. read more
