Just want some clarification. On the door it says the business hours are 6am-12am. But the LAST WASH is at 10pm. I walk in at 9:15 and the first thing I get told is "we close at 10pm". But the business hours on maps says 6am-11pm. Other than the confusion on when they ACTUALLY CLOSE, this laundry mat is clean. read more

Our dryer broke and we went by on a Sunday to finish a load. It was busy but having looked online before heading in, we knew to get a card to operate the machines. Then, a couple of customers provided advice on how the timing of a load can be set. As others have said, it is kept clean and orderly with staff on site. There is plenty of room to fold clothes, or else there are also rolling baskets to help with moving laundry. read more

I do not use laundromats frequently, but several times a year I wash blankets bedspreads and rugs in the larger machines. Laundry World in Schaumburg on W. Schaumburg Rd and Carver Lane is spotlessly clean and the young woman, Liliana, working there is kind, curteous, and helpful. She works every minute. She was a sweeping , mopping, washing and folding clothes for pick up. I was there almost two hours and never saw her sit a minute. Definitely a gold star employee in a gold star laundromat. What a pleasure!! On the road, need to get some laundry done and our hotel wasn't the answer. Looked online and found Laundry World nearby with some nice reviews and some dreadful ones. Let's add another NICE one. Incredibly clean facility with several sizes of machines. A couple needing repair, but many others available, even on a busy Sunday afternoon. I am here washing my clothes and at 9:40 pm this old lady who's works here already closing all the doors and I forgot my card in the car and it was raining and I was with my 4 year old daughter wet. I had asked why not leave one door open but she said because she doesn't want anyone else to come wash. Had a couple oversize items needed to be washed and dried the laundromat attendant Martha was very helpful. The facility is very clean and neat. Martha ensured the lint baskets were emptied and each area was clean. Highly recommended read more

They shoud trained their people well on how to help customers with any washer or dryer issues! last time i was there the washer stop working and when i ask for the person in charge for help he came and just forced to open the washer causing my clothes go all over the floor and make a big mess, tonight I went there and in the rush i forgot my basket, i'd ask the guy in charge for for a garbage bag to avoid the trip home and he refused to help me ! what? I was even offering money for it and he still refused , this boy definitely need to though some real customer service skill!! what a service!!! hope this help other people! read more

Rarely use a laundromat but for big comforters I do. I will start with the positives. Clean and neat facility and machines. Now the negatives. There was no one easily identifiable as the person working the facility. No one at the back counter. I struggled through the purchase of my laundry card on my own. I had a few questions. I put the exact amount I needed on the card. Next I start the machine. Then I realize I am short by 10 cents. Go back to card loading machine. Again, no one there. Try to put ten cents on. Nope. Minimum of $5.00. All could have been avoided with a human to help me on initial purchase. I get through it. Machine is running. Go to use restroom. I'm trying to find it and a woman asks if I need help. This may be the elusive employee. She points to restroom and watches me pull on the door which is locked. I think there is someone in there. I wait. And wait. Finally I try again and this time I see I have to put my laundry card in in order to unlock the door. Do you think the employee could have told me this?! Going forward the employee should be easy to spot. Maybe a name tag, a shirt with logo? Something! Not someone who just looks like another customer. Won't return here due to the lack of customer service. read more

Our dryer broke down at 9:30 at night and we drove to this particular laundry mat and pulled up at 10:08 pm to use their dryers. It was empty and this helper boy decided to come out and say we can't let you use the dryers because last dry and wash is at 10 pm. Mind you the place doesn't close till midnight!!! Tried to explain to him that our dryer just broke down and that it wouldn't take us more than 30 minutes to dry our clothes and he refused saying the cameras wouldn't let him. SERIOUSLY DONT EVER GO HERE. We've never had issues here but that boy never has worked while we had to come. I will never go back due to this. read more

I come here bc it's clean....but the employees leave much to be desired in the way of service. I don't know if they go to work with the intention of spending however many hours on a day on a phone, but that's inevitably what happens every time I'm there....and it's as though theyre literally trying to push away customers almost physically by continually wiping down the tops of the machines....over....and over.....and over....while on the phone, bitching about everything in Spanglish. The last run of loads I started I literally had the girl come in front of me 4 times while I got my laundry sorted and started...I just moved away and am happy to explore options closer to my new place. read more

Our washing machine broke down this past weekend...a (very expensive) Whirlpool Duet front-load washer, that is less than 3 years old. A Whirlpool washer that should have lasted more than 3 years, but will now cost $330 to repair because of a wiring malfunction. A Whirlpool washer that was purchased particularly because of Whirpool's (alleged) reputation. There should be a Yelp list for crappy (expensive) products...Whirlpool's Duet products would get 5 trillion stars for that. But, I digress. As you can tell , I was very cranky because of my crappy washer. Add to that almost 2 weeks of laundry for a busy family - we just couldn't wait another week. First thing we did was Yelp Laundromats. Then I remembered Laundry World & Tan. Passed by it several times in the past and I always got a kick out of the sign: Wash & Tan. Always makes me think of the Jersey Shore crew (GTL, right??). No gym here, but that's ok. I have to say, I would almost prefer doing my laundry here weekly! We got here early on Sunday, before 9am. We were in and out in 2 hours...this is with 4 piles of laundry and we even brought along our comforter since they have industrial-sized machines. Plenty of counter space, each counter with a laundry cart, lots of room to move around. They have table space too, for sitting and eating (we brought our two kids along and they sat at one of the 4-seater tables eating and drawing). And chairs around each row of washers for sitting and reading. There are televisions in each corner, clean bathrooms, a Vending machine, and Soda machine (fair pricing!). Also computer stations if you wanted to go online (for a fee). Lots of windows with natural light shining in. The place felt airy and open. There is an attendant on staff. She was friendly and considerate (once she saw my kids and other kids, she switched the tvs from the Sunday news to cartoons). The Laundromat itself is in a strip mall with a 7-Eleven and a pizza restaurant, so you could stop there if you wanted to grab a bite or walk around while waiting. Lots of washing machines, each different sizes (4 rows, I think). You have the small load ($2/cycle), medium load ($5/cycle), and the large-industrial sized ($8/cycle). Dryers (large sized) are 42 cents per 12 minutes. Clothes came out very clean...you have the option of a delicate cycle or regular or heavy-duty, and the machines were clean too...no mold worries. The dryers did a great job after about 30 minutes. Even our humongous comforter! You purchase a laundry card (can use cash or credit/debit), for use at the washer/dryers. The laundry card also works at the vending and soda machines. I haven't been to a Laundromat since I was a college student (where the machines took quarters and smelled moldy, inevitably, so did my clothes), so I don't have anything to compare pricing to recently, but for about $40, we got 4 piles of laundry done (towels, whites, darks, colors), plus a comforter. Not a bad deal, especially in our current bind. Plenty of parking, and automatic doors, making your trips back and forth from the car easy and convenient. It wasn't crowded when we got there, but by the time we left, it was filling up. People in general seemed friendly and didn't hog the machines. Convenient hours - open 6am to Midnight every day. We didn't utilize the tanning section, but did see other patrons come in, load their laundry, and head to the tanning area (adjoining suite in the building). They even have a convenient 'changing/dressing room' area here...which I suppose is mainly for the tanning section, but we used it conveniently when my 3 year old spilled on his shirt and we changed him into a freshly washed one. So, if your ($1000+) Whirlpool Duet breaks down and Whirlpool quotes you another $330 to fix it (for their own wiring malfunction), and you need a temporary fix (while you research other reliable washers to invest in)...go to Laundry World. Or, if you just simply frequent Laundromats and are looking for a good one...go to Laundry World. You can even get a tan in. We'll likely be here another weekend or two! This laundry spot is very convenient for me. Because I'm always doing 4 loads a week. It's a quiet spot and clean. Never having to wait for a machine. Only down fall for me us that it's 10 mins away but we'll worth the drive, instead of doing laundry in my building complex. I would highly recommend this place to anyone :) read more

Went to this laundromat when my laundromat was closed. What a ripoff!! You need to purchase one of their cards to do your washing and drying, I only needed to use the dryer fortunately. It cost 49 cents for 12 minutes of drying versus 25 cents for 10 minutes at Kingsport Laundry. I had one washload, used 3 dryers and it cost me. $3.43 versus $1.50 to dry my clothes. I have a credit left on the card and they don't give refunds!!!! I guess I can use the card to enter the ladies room, I'll never go there again. read more
