Today I witnessed the store employee screaming and yelling across the store at a woman who had a dog. I guess she said it's a service dog, but the employee would not believe her. The employee was way in the back screaming to call police because the woman would not leave. The screaming and yelling continued as they made their way to the front. The lady with the dog said you should not treat me like this and the manager said she can and will. I have worked in retail for many years before becoming a teacher and this behavior was reprehensible. The manager was so abusive. I have shopped here for years but will never step foot in the store again. Shame on you! read more

I enjoyed shopping this store. I would shop there Every Week, as I do other thrift stores, And spend much more money when I do... but no, i have to have cash. I rarely carry cash. If only they would accept credit/debit cards. Large, clean and organized store that has lots of great bargains. I was impressed by the displays, and lots of books. Prices are good with in demand items (Star Wars) having higher prices than other items (Christmas 3 days after the holiday). Staff is friendly and informative. read more

I come here quite a lot. It's by my house and has a lot of toddler clothes and toys. There are also sales every day on specific items and things are half off. I used to come here a lot for the books, but now only get the books if the ticket is half off. (The goodwill has all of their kids books for a dollar, so I go there for books now. Also, the downtown library has super cheap kids books.) I recommend this place! Many items to choose from and I think the prices are reasonable for most items! read more

I really want to like this store. They have a huge selection, decent prices, always running sales, etc. Everything you should want in a thrift store, except they attach price tags to clothes with STAPLES. What do you think that does to a silk or jersey knit garment? It ruins it because they end up with snags and/or holes. I don't want to spend my hard earned money on stuff that is already damaged. I would come buy so much more from your store if you would stop stapling. Please invest in some tag attaching guns and plastic barbs and insert through an inner tag or SEAM so the same problem doesn't happen. Sadly, I can't keep shopping here until the clothes are not being damaged. I implore the management to take this into consideration. read more

Great thrift store. I've found all sorts of random things I didn't know I needed. For the discerning shopper you can get some great deals on all sorts of things. For some reason I've started to like retro clock radios. Probably something to do with my childhood anyway, I've had luck in finding some here. I also got a cool older espresso machine and plenty of clothes. They always seem to have a 50% off sale right around the corner so look out for that. Alot of their deals seem to be geared towards the senior crowd and it's unfortunate that there is no student/public service/military days. But there is always a sale every day. Hopefully it's one of the colored price tags you pick out. (When you walk in ask or look on the wall to the left and you can see the deals.) Not my first time here and not my last. read more

There's lots to choose from in this place. Items are organized and priced. I found several items I was looking for--yes! And just in time...lots of holiday finds. The only bummer is their cash only policy. So be prepared with a stack of green because I'm pretty sure your going to find some sweet treasures. Lot parking is plentiful. I didnt come into this store for an ugly Christmas sweater at all but you bet I walked out with one and whole lot more lol. They have a plethora of christmas sweaters guranteed to bring you a win in a competition lol and so much more. Staff members were super friendly and efficient with maintaining cleanliness and order. This store has a wide wide range of everything its like a Super thrift of all thrifts store! All of the trinkets you can think of for the holiday's, the household you name they have it! Everything in the store from clothing,shoes, bags, backpacks,jewlery,childrens books is in really great condition. If I lived here this place would be my go to 2-3x a week. I am currently on a hunt for hundreds of mismatched, vintage-y tea cups to make crafty Pinterest worthy wedding favors. This has led me to check out nearly every thrift store in the heights over the last six months. Now, I'm going to start reviewing them. There are plenty of thrift stores in Albuquerque, and this one falls right about in the middle. It's not quaint or quirky, but it's also not a big personality-void chain. I like the organization and wide selection. I do wish the books were in slightly better order, as sometimes it's overwhelming to try to scan though shelves and shelves of mixed up novels. But, that's how thrift stores are I suppose. They have lots of clothes and shoes, and the housewares selection is decent. They only have two dressing rooms and rarely seem to open more than one register, so you may find yourself waiting in longer lines than expected, especially on busy days like weekends. The prices are okay, not stupendous but fair for thrifted items. Also, bring cash! They don't take cards. read more

So I checked this place out recently. I was expecting it to have a really inexpensive kids clothing but it didn't the kids clothing was extremely overpriced. Girls dresses were around $10 and some of them even had stains on them. I could go to another store and buy that dress for new for $10. They had a very good home section which was much more reasonably priced and I did find a very cool vintage jacket that was only $10. But then that's also why the kids clothing felt so expensive because a girl dress was $10 but a full length women's jacket was also $10. Overall worth checking out. read more

Love this place! There's a ton of clothing racks and it's organized by color and type (jackets together, shirts together). Two possible hold ups are it's cash only (there is an atm in the corner of their parking lot) annnd as everyone mentioned they put tags on by stapling the garments twice!! Large w some selection, Nice staff. BUT pricier than other thrift stores. They advertize that they give back to veterans, but never say how or how much. It's an all cash enterprise and that makes me suspicious. There was a time when some young male relative was given the responsibility of pricing (I asked and was told this by the staff) and the store prices were really shocking for a bit. Went back months later and prices were still high but only occasionally ridiculous . These people need to remember who their customers are--old, poor pensioners and people on tiny budgets. read more

This place has a great selection of hardback vintage children's books as well as vintage children's clothing. Was able to find a darling yellow/white cardigan for a 4-month-old for 99cents! I really liked this store. However the last time I went I was overcharged. I called to let them know and was told I could get a refund for the overcharge. So I went in 2 days later, today. First, I walked in and the lady at the register yelled at me to leave my bag behind the register. There were about 10 customers up there and it was embarrassing. I explained why I was there, stood in line. Finally I get up there and the same rude lady said I get store credit and that's it. I explained the phone call and what I was told. She rudly told me no that they don't do that. I asked if she was the manager and she told me no. I explained to her she didn't need to be rude and why the cash refund was promised. When I purchased the dress, the employee was rude when I asked her about the discount. Needless to say, the rude employee was still rude and I got the cash back. This store has greatly disappointed me with the customer service. Can't say I plan to go back. There are other thrift stores with much better customer service. read more

I used to be a HUGE fan of this place. The cashiers are always very nice and they have great deals. I'm an avid thrifter, especially when it comes to furniture. They only have one or two women who can price furniture, one of those being a woman named Haydee. Not only do they have her working a very select schedule, but when she is there she's always on "lunch", literally any time I go in there. The one time I was able to track her down to price something she was very rude about it like it wasn't her job and I was bothering her. What is the point of putting furniture out to sell if it has no price and no one is there that is allowed to price it? I got so frustrated I just stopped going altogether. I found some great deals on summer clothes for my toddler. I wish there were more kids' shoes. When we walked in, there were at least four staff members near the front door. Personally, I like the kind of thrift store that requires some shopping patience and a good eye for gems, rather than the pre-curated, over-priced "vintage" stores that are popping up everywhere these days. This definitely fits the bill, and is one of my favorite thrift stores in ABQ. Plus, nothing like southwest prices- this place is already cheap, and has frequent 50% off sales. I spent many hours scouring this store this summer, turning up all sorts of excellent finds. Definitely best for jewelry, shoes and tops. Wish there were more like this in NY! read more

I love what they sell - lots of clothing, a bit of a hunt for that amazing find.... but they use staples to put tags on clothing! This means ANYTHING that is a jersey, a knit, any fabric with a fine weave -- ends up with holes where the tags were attached. It's crazy! Why on earth do they not use clothing tags? Staples have blunt rough ends, great for paper, not so much for clothing you don't plan to throw away. Frankly, I'd go a lot more often to their store if they didn't use STAPLES on the clothing. It's a lot harder than it needs to be to find good stuff, because they ruin so much of it when they "tag" it. ARGH. Shop carefully. read more

I have visited more then once finding good deals on two visited in found am item that I thought was price more then a bargain and had asked that they sell it at a lower price but they refused to change the price and not all items in the store are price at half 50% off the store would be able to get rid of there inventory if they would bargain with the customer since all item are donated and a lot of the stuff they have is junk sometimes going to the dollar store u find a better pricing who ever owns the store they must be making a profit read more

I love this thrift store because it's huge. I always leave with a ton of stuff for under $20-$30. Their prices are reasonable, they have a great selection and they're convenient to get to. The only complaint I have is its slightly unorganized (still easy to find stuff) and kinda dirty. BUT, I've never been unhappy with my purchases. Once, I walked out of there with a VERY Nice humidifier that retails for $90 for only $6! That was almost two years ago and I still have it! Thank you family thrift! read more

This place has good clothes but it is higher than some other thrift stores. They claim to help veterans but very little actually goes to them. The younger staff members are rude and unfriendly. I have heard from several people that work there that it's an awful place to work due to people being drunk on the job, people being subjected to sexual harassment and nothing being done about it, and some of the employees stealing. The owner lives out of state and doesn't care about the work environment. Another thing to be aware of is that the merchandise, donated to help the veterans, is free for the owner's family members. They will go in the store, especially the granddaughter, and load up tons of stuff to take and she never pays a dime! Once I found all of this stuff out, I refuse to donate anything to this scam of a place anymore. I now donate to legitimate charities such as Goodwill or the Animal Humane Thrift Store. read more

Bought and paid for a dutch oven pan with a lid. After paying, second cashier comes over and said because there was no "x2" on price tag the lid would be an additional 14.99. When I asked for my money back for the pan. I was informed store policy was no returns. A dutch oven with no lid is useless and I can purchase a new one for less than $29.98. Beware. I shop here almost exclusively, so I know my way around and when to look for what. LOVE the 50% off sales. My ONLY complaint, they seem to "mark up" prices on some things before those sales! And sometimes, there are no sale price colored tickets on the clothes I'm looking at! All in all though, this is a wonderful store. I just bought three pairs of winter pants, two or three turtlenecks, and four pairs of shorts for next year for $28. All were in perfect condition! read more

I was treated horribly by the cashier yesterday, belittled & embarrassed because I asked for a Veteran discount at the end of her ringing up my items. She flat out said "No, I need to tell her upfront." I asked why she couldn't apply the discount, she said she'd have to void and start over. I asked if she would do that for me, again she said "No, I should have told her in the beginning." I asked for her name, she refused to give it to me. I asked her speak to the manager, only then did she apply the discount. This is a store that supposedly supports Veterans. As I have personally donated generous amounts of items for their store and like to shop there, being a veteran myself, I enjoy supporting Veteran causes. I will be finding my items at other outlets who treat customers, Veterans with some dignity. I did finally speak with a manager after waiting almost 20 minutes, she apologized, but did say I need to ask upfront. So much inconvenience on their part, why bother. read more
