I've been a regular shopper at Savers since I started shopping there during Covid. There are SO many good clothes to be had. One might be surprised by what people donate. I like that I'm choosing a more environmentally friendly option while also enjoying the savings to our budget. The only thing is, you have to look the clothing over really well before you buy. Some people donate clothes that have holes in them. I don't understand why people do that, but they do. I've told my husband that I have the best wardrobe I've ever had in my life since I started shopping at Savers/Goodwill. It can be a little overwhelming when you go in, so go with the idea of shopping for just a few items. Then, if you have the time, browse a few other areas. It is always so much fun to see what you might find. The return policy is exchange only. If you can try it on in the isle, then you know if it fits. If you cannot try it on, then plan carefully for a return (exchange). Buy used! read more

I came here for the first time on a Monday with my mom, who's more familiar with this store. She asked a few staff members about the "color of the day" discount, but the experience wasn't great -- the first person was dismissive, the second just guessed, and the third at the register was pretty snappy, finally telling her that the discounts aren't until Wednesday. That miscommunication set the tone a bit. The store itself is fairly organized for a thrift shop, but I'm not sure if the clothes are cleaned before they hit the racks. Pricing was on the higher side for secondhand items. I found a top for $13 that easily felt like it should've been $5 or less. Unless the money goes to a good cause (which wasn't clear), it felt a little overpriced. Location-wise, it's in a rougher part of town with a visible homeless population, and I honestly didn't feel very safe walking in and out. That's not necessarily the store's fault, but it did affect the overall experience. Overall, I may or may not come back. She is very disrespectful and really loves to invade your space and and is obnoxious and likes to keep asking over and over if your gonna buy it. She doesn't understand people don't want to be bothered while shopping she insists and actually puts her person in your space right by you claiming she's helping you but believe me she is not. She is just an ugly horrific disrespectful person who obnoxious and she needs to to quit. The cashier srltopped scanning and unsolicited lyrics took the massager and rubbed her butt with it to demonstrate the usefulness of the item. Savers is a regular for me each Tuesday when they have senior 30% off which is a great deal. I didn't realize I hadn't reviewed this location. Was a spot I went to even before we moved here. So as to the rating I give them a 6 out of 5 stars for staff. All the people who work here are really top notch. And I have gotten amazing things here including a lot of jewelry, at least the price doesn't freak my husband out!! I give a one star for managing the customers during COVID. I am not going to make comments about weight, age and a certain guy in govt followers but clearly folks who are in this group don't believe in masks, social distancing, arrows for directions or being thoughtful of the rest of the population. If I had my way cattle prods would be required accessories for the staff. Seriously i feel like it's savers super spreader. Now if only they had shirts that say back up beotch read more

The store manager Jon is very kind and helpful. I found a hoodie I liked that had some gum stuck on the graphic so I asked the woman working checkout if she could knock down the price and the store manager said that I could have it for free! I shop at both savers locations regularly and this was by far the best experience that I've had. I'm really happy to see the store manager cares about his store and the customer experience. Savers is the most organized and well-stocked thrift shop I have ever seen. I come here regularly for everything from baby clothes to women's sweaters. As with all thrift shops, the items that you have the most luck with are the ones that are forgiving in sizing, there's no fitting room here. read more

The clothes are too expensive for a thrift store, but worse than that, I bought a $6.99 lamp that I didn't notice takes a non-standard size lightbulb. I tried to exchange it in both stores and they refused me. That's dumb because I had full intention to shop in all areas of the stores so they turned their back on a sale, but it's also a crappy thing to do to a customer so I'll be shopping in one of the many many other thrift stores from here on. I love Savers! The donation center is amazing. You seriously just drive up and someone is there to help you. They are always kind and professional. Plus you get amazing coupons and opportunities to save on shopping trips! Score! Only the best of the best donations make it into the store for shopping and at amazing prices. I find the best deals on some of my new favorite clothes. I've even found stuff from Dillard's with tags still on it! What doesn't make the cut is sent to struggling countries to be used or remade as they prefer. They also donate to local charities. You really can't go wrong with shopping here! read more

Savers has gone downhill over the yrs but now they have stooped to a low point being crooks. I dropped off a donation to help out my mom. We realized she had a bag of returns in the car that i accidentally donated. I went back 20 MINUTES later to retrieve this bag (a clearly marked Burlington Coat Factory bag) & they told me it was against their 'policy' to let me look for it in their donation center and that i had to fill out a report. I filled out the report specifying the returns exactly and they still all had their tags. It was very clear to me from the beginning that they had no intention of returning my moms items to me. I felt awful for this mistake and that this huge company would not help us. Money is very tight for my mother and this was a big loss. read more

HALLOWEEN COSTUMES are here!!! They have the best costumes (new and used) for the best prices. Also the fact that all of their toys are sorted and out into baggies so impressed me. They really go through all of their new and used items to price them right. Today I found a great black dress costume for $2.49 and some new black wings for $10. This is an excellent location to pop some tags. I've been coming here since it opened and there are many gems to be found. If you don't know how to shop thrift stores, let me 'splain it. Don't go for the No Boundaries, Faded Glory, Mossimo varieties. Those are Walmart/Target/Kmart brands--duh. Go for the Chaps, Loft, Banana Republic, Alfani pursuasion. And no, I'm not a name brand whore, but you pay more for quality. And so you search for quality. Go on days with 50% off colored tags, and Wednesday is military/senior discount (25%!!). Donate something and get a coupon for 20-30% off your ENTIRE purchase. I just found a Tory Burch skirt with original tags ($198) for $7. I will be able to sell it online for probably $80-100. Don't diss me because I shop "second hand." I still dress better than you. read more

Savers no longer has a nonprofit partner. They are now completely corporate. They've tripled the prices, often above retail on the same item, and they have no dressing rooms. It's though they're trying to go out of business. We no longer donate, and we no longer shop there. So sad to lose what used to be a wonderful store. read more

Has gotten too expensive for the poor! It's a thrift shop and not Walmart! Some employees are rude! At the register I had an item that had a price, but I had an additional piece of the same brand that wasn't priced, the woman took both back. Why? Why not take back the unpriced item and sell the priced item. There are many thrift stores on Menual, I will be shopping at those. read more

I've never had any issues here until today. I picked up two items, put them on the furniture upon going into the restroom. The manager Tina stormed in there and was like "GET OUT!" She said it again so I left the bathroom. She then asked me what I did with the two shirts I brought into the bathroom. (For the record it was a pair of jeans and s shirt). I pointed to where I left it and said right there. She was like "keep walking keep walking." Then I turned around and was like "what did I do?" She told me not to return today and to leave immediately. I am an African American female, and am absolutely sure my race played a factor in this. I will be contacting corporate and will not return. I love this store. You can find great clothing for work or leisure and I have found some really good brands and textiles. If you can't afford to ( or just don't want to) pay department store prices, look here first. The staff is always polite and helpful, and you can get discount coupons for donating your stuff. I used to love Savers, it was my go to thrift store for years. Unfortunately I took the stores off my list completely. Management in their ultimate wisdom decided to completely do away with the dressing rooms. The exchange policy has been extended to 14 day. Lovely -- so if it does not fit when you get home you can return to store, exchange for another item that may not fit. This is just a waste of my time and effort. Another unfortunate change is the incredible increase in prices. $6 for knit shirt? $8 for a used pair of jeans? That is just too much -- especially since I can't even determine if the item fits. So my new go to thrift store is Thrift Town. Incredibly reasonable prices AND dressing rooms. read more

This was my first stop into Savers since they'd moved from the San Mateo location and what an improvement! The new spot is more like the one on the West Side because it's well lit, has large aisles, clear signs designating different areas, and in Oct one large area for Halloween supplies. Which if you're looking for your costume items or inspiration, make a trip here because they have the typical thrift store options plus a wide variety of brand new goodies like wigs, makeup, accessories and even full costumes. The donation area is to the North of the building and is clearly marked so it's easy to find. There's a little bell that rings when you pull up and someone comes out with a cart to help unload. The guy who assisted me was very careful not to let the cart hit my Jeep and was very pleasant. With your donation receipt you also receive a 20% off coupon for the store (it sadly doesn't go towards Halloween items). read more

They no longer allow you to try non clothes, which is ridiculous because they are used clothes, it's not like they wash them. You can't come home and wash them then try them in and take them back. Since I was planning a trip and needed a wind/rain coat I thought I'd see what savers had, in mens jackets I found a Columbia jacket although I thought it a bit pricey at $24 I went ahead and purchased it. I washed it and put it outside to dry what I thought was laundry soap I discovered that the inside lining was deteriorated and lots of white speckled debris and you could clearly see the inside had turned black where it wore off. Since I was using it for wind/rain I was disappointed that I paid $24 so I called the store and they suggested I bring it back what I wanted was a discount, but they can't? So I suggested that I had my eyes on a pair of tennis shoes for $7.50, and I would walk out with the shoes and jacket...NOPE...I found this unreasonable since over the years I have brought substantial donations it was a little fix for a over priced jacket. Seeing that Saver's makes money on our donations I felt like the employees can bend the rules every once and a while they must forget who provides their paycheck ! I am always so excited to see what gem I can find, and the prices are so reasonable. I thought for the longest time that they must launder their clothing because nothing smells bad or old, although I know they require things to be donated in a clean condition. I told my daughter that I've never been to a thrift store that didn't have a stale smell EXCEPT Savers!!! There are definite treasures to behold in these here aisles, but you best set aside some time to search for 'em. I suppose this maxim can be attributed to any thrifty jaunt, but here it's especially true. I really, really like the new location (I had a many fruitless searches in the San Mateo locale), so I offer you this minor promise, Yelper: seek and ye shall find. The best advise I've ever received about thriftin' is the following: Don't go looking for something specific. This is ridiculous advice, because I always go thriftin' for something specific. But it's true. I rarely find exactly what I'm looking for. Instead, I find something that kind of suits my needs, and then I start huntin'. I check out the aisles of shirts and jeans and peep the ties and shoes and housewares and electronics and at some point, boom, I find a gem. This is Savers. I came looking for black pants that tapered at the ankles. Didn't find 'em. I left with five awesome shirts. Savers does a great job of keeping the inventory clean and orderly, the price is better than right, the selection is generally the best in town and if you haven't figured this out yet, Albuquerque is a sweet place to thrift. A plethora of vintage threads can be found buried in these racks (thanks to our Southwestern roots), you just have to look. They have about 10 changing rooms, but be wary: half-off sales fill the place to the gills. Same goes for check-out lines. Regardless, shop some tags here. read more

I mentioned in another review my dissatisfaction with the state of thrift stores in general nowadays. I have the same general feeling about this Savers with the exception that they have a fantastic book section with a huge selection of new and older titles for very cheap. It is also very well organized (unlike Thrift Town)! As for the rest of the store, it is spacious and clean-ish but leaves much to be desired as far as quality of goods. I am fairly certain that finding a treasure in here will be an exception, not the rule. read more

Worth a wander in Things seem over priced. Especially for the broken down furniture. I have not checked out the clothes, they are abundant. We had gone in looking for housewares when we first moved, I would go else ware for these items. I used to go to one in Boulder CO, Some clothes are good deals and others you can get on sale at the mall new for as much as they are asking. read more
