My wife and I had the pleasure of shopping at Lucky Road Run Shop. We are both very active in…read morerunning, hiking, rucking, and walking. It turns out, the owners of the store are too. The owners of the store are on sight and, you better believe, you get professional attention when you walk in. The husband and wife team are both ultra-marathoners and walkers. They know their product line. (FYI- they don't carry Nike because Nike wanted to dictate how its shoes would be displayed and other brands that their store could display). "F" Nike. Shopping there is such a huge change from shopping at large box stores. Unlike the unexperienced, disinterested, THC laced, cardiologically challenged, pre-adult cookies that work at the big box stores, the people who sold us our shoes, had "been there." They had come back from injuries, they had run ultra-marathons, they knew the local trails, they knew the strengths and weaknesses of each product and they listened, listened and listened. If you are serious about maximizing your performance, avoiding injuries and getting the best shoe for your exercise style, please drop into this place. If you are interested in getting the most fashionable Nikes for your sedentary lifestyle, please go to a store like Dick's where you can get a good deal on a pair of shoes that you don't need sold to you by an employee who has never had their heartbeat above 70 beats per minute.

Perfect! Love my new On Clouds. Service was great also. Thanks!!!!…read more ------------------------------- ----------------------

Such a great experience at Fleet Feet it left me wondering why I hadn't visited sooner!…read more With an effort to be more active in 2022 came a much needed shoe upgrade. A friend recommended Fleet Feet ages ago but I didn't finally give them a try until I hurt my foot in the gym partially due to very old shoes. I came in on a Friday evening and two other customers were already there but Anthony did an amazing job of bouncing between us and providing excellent service. I explained my situation, what kind of workouts I typically do, and he walked me through the measuring process which consisted of stepping on a platform and walking a few strides over a cushiony mat. (Thank god, you do not have to run!) Anthony explained my readings & shortly came back with three awesome options he thought would be great for me. Unlike Cinderella, though, Anthony nailed it on the first shot. The CloudFlow shoes felt so amazing they made me realize just how old and worn out my other pair was! Due to some discrepancy in my arches, Anthony also recommended some insoles which he custom cut for my new kicks. In addition to that, I also snagged some workout gear from their selection. The shoes were $140, insoles $50, and the gear was $60, so not cheap but you can definitely tell it's quality stuff! I already wore everything for the next morning workout and it all felt great! Fleet Feet for the win!

If Running Etc. isn't your go-to store for athletic shoes it should be. I was originally referred…read moreto them by a physical therapist following knee surgery over ten years ago, and I have been a loyal customer ever since. I have shopped at both their Norfolk and Virginia Beach locations and have consistently found the customer service to be top-notch. They always analyze your gait before making any recommendations to ensure a proper fit. Additionally, as a Brooks enthusiast, I appreciate that they offer one of the largest selections of Brooks footwear in the area and if you are lucky you can catch last years model on sale. If you are experiencing foot pain or are simply looking for the right pair of sneakers, I 100% recommend stopping by.

It's been several years since my last visit to Running Etc VB. The strip they are in has sadly got…read moremuch worse with regard to aesthetics and low occupancy. So bonus on plenty of parking. The service remains top notch and was immediate. I needed a replacement shoe for my four year broken down everyday Hoka's. I have really loved the brand and hoped to stay in them. But was also open to try others. The sales guy understood my needs and confirmed my old Hoka's were trash. They upgraded the Bondi I'm in to the 10, so he started with that. However, he first had me walk up and down to evaluate my gait. He measured my feet. He pulled out around six colors to choose from and I tried on a pair and walked again for evaluation. They felt much better than my broken down sneaks. After an inspection of the laces and the way my toes were in the box he pulled out a wide shoe from the back. They only came in three colors, but the gray is what I wanted anyway. After walking again the wide shoe felt the best and more comfortable in the toe box. My previous shoes were regular width. We also discussed socks that would be more beneficial for walking and jogging avoiding cotton at all cost. Cotton retains moisture, that can cause blisters. So go with synthetics, or wool. I tried on a synthetic by Feetures that felt great and picked up a pair to purchase with new shoes. I wore my new ones out and they recycled my old ones and the box. Hoka's are not a cheap brand. So expect $165 and up. Checkout was smooth on my card. Running Etc is a unique experience on service as I described. They know the sport of running, they know their products and best of all the know how to satisfy their customers with phenomenal service. Whole heartedly recommend!!!
