I always complained that there's really nowhere hyper local to get ski attire whether for actual skiing or after ski. I found just the place during Lakewood Chocolate Walk - Geiger's! AMBIANCE: Standalone store in downtown Lakewood that's apparently been part of the community since 1932 (wow!) For being such a longstanding retail space it's surprisingly modern. It really reminds me of Eddie Bauer's. The store has multiple rooms of outdoor attire. MERCHANDISE: Most of the attire (predominantly women's and children's) looks like chic athletic-ish attire to wear around Lakewood. Faux fur vests are especially soft and high quality. There is an entire room of skiing gear - skis, ski goggles, and sweaters with ski landscapes. There's also a pretty expansive selection of children's attire. You'll find popular brands like Patagonia and Yeti, and also less known brands. Prices are mostly what you'd expect at a high-end department store. SERVICE: The service at the store wasn't too attentive. Employees were a bit awkward with client interactions. Perhaps because it was busy. Check out this store if you are looking for winter attire like coats, chunky sweaters, gloves, and hats. There are plenty of choices here. I'll come back when I have more time to browse the coat inventory.

I visited for the first time on Friday, 6 June 2025…read more Going, Going, Gone is a discount store by Dick's Sporting Goods. They have a lot of fitness clothing in stock. Many of the clothing and shoe items here were the previous season's collection or the ones that didn't sell from Dick's Sporting Goods. TENNIS SHOES (1/5 rating) -- Disappointing. None/Very Limited. I was surprised that they had very limited tennis shoes. Infact, the store only had one available in the women's section but it was a size 7 shoe and I wear a bigger size shoe so I couldn't buy that one. I specifically came to find tennis shoes to play tennis in but they only had one female tennis shoe that wasn't my size. Sadly, their tennis shoe options are extremely limited unless you go online. The store had shoes for running and other sports but nothing in their tennis selection. For such a big store, this was disappointing. MY PURCHASES -- An employee helped me find tennis shoes on the Dick's Sporting Goods website that had a deal or he may have applied some sale. I bought the Prince Women's Advantage Lite 3 Tennis Shoe which cost under $55. // I also purchased a yellow fitness t-shirt which was on sale for less than $7. The store is very big and feels a little disorganized at certain sections due to the huge amount of inventory that they have but be patient or get an employee to assist you to find something. If you are looking for a great deal on workout gear (fitness clothing) then shop at Going, Going, Gone before an item is GONE off the shelf. You will definitely get alot of items for a low price so the value is good. However, if you play tennis, I don't recommend trying to buy tennis shoes here. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 46/250 total reviews in 2026 - 887 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 24 April 2026

They put the shoes on hold and they were ready for pickup when I came here. The girl who assisted me was really nice. Considering that this DSW isn't in a popular area, the store was a nice size, and the place was clean. I would come back to this DSW in North Olmsted if I had to.

But $70 for Jessica Simpson sandals? Methinks not. I'd say more like $40. And I hardly call that "designer." Although--I will add that I find it quite ridiculous that both Jessica Simpson and Steve Madden shoes are priced as high as (if not more than) better designer shoes. While DSW does have an occasional BCBG, Calvin Klein pump, most are over-price nonsense brands I've never heard of... Maybe I'm looking at the wrong sections? The boots were hit or miss--if you're looking for designer brands you've heard of? There are a few, but most are still around $150, especially for leather. And I didn't see any that blew my mind. Otherwise it's mostly that super-cheap looking faux leather, like the ones you see in the windows of Charlotte Russe, but 5x more expensive. Mens prices and brands seemed more spot on. My sister and I looked around for a bit and she really hit the jackpot with a unique Calvin Klein heel for around $40. I was quite jealous! But that was really the best deal we found. Other than that, I think they could lower their prices on everything by at least $15-20--based on what they carry.
