She is a gifted salesperson who is helpful without being pushy, kind but not afraid to be honest in advising, and cheerful without being phony. Around February, I bought these boots because they looked great. Several months in, I get a scuff…read moremark on them. Much to my surprise, regular shoe polish nor boot cream could remove it. I had to go to a shoe repair place to learn that the goat leather of these boots and the way Cavenders colored them makes them easy to scuff and necessitates an actual leather dye or shoe spray to cover up. Per the shoe repair place, the dye used is not an oil-based dye but some other process where the dye does not penetrate into the leather. I will have to pay $50-$100 dollars to get them stripped of whatever is on them to put an oil-based dye on them and hopefully be able to put some type of treatment on them to guard against scuffing. When I contacted Cavenders to see what could be done to resolve this, they would only look at them to see if there was a manufacturer's defect. But, there isn't one because they know the process that they used to color these boots. While this boot looks great, scuffing is a huge problem that makes this purchase not good at all! And I hate because these were the first pair of new boots that I ever bought. It is a shame because initially the customer service at Cavender's was really great. But, now that I have a problem, I suddenly have problems. The website customer service could do nothing. When I asked for the corporate number to complain, I got a number with a system where you have to know the extension or the name of a specific person. I could never get to a live person to speak to. Whatever you do, don't buy this boot, even while it is on sale. It has been on sale since at least February when I bought mine. I am starting to think that they put it on sale because of problems that they have had with these boots.

I had an extremely unprofessional and discriminatory experience with an employee at this location…read more I am a Black healthcare provider who was directed by my company to visit this Scrubs & Beyond store to obtain my work scrubs (black/gray Grey's Anatomy scrubs). Upon entering, I was not greeted. When I approached the counter to explain my purpose, the employee repeatedly stated that she had never heard of my company and insisted I needed to go to another location. I explained that the owner of my company had advised that this store could call the Concord, Missouri location to verify the order. The employee rolled her eyes, called the other store with a clear attitude, and immediately stated that I had to go there instead. While on the phone, she referred to me as "regular staff," which was an assumption. I corrected her and stated that I am a provider. She then insisted that I had to go to the other store because it was a "group order," which I again clarified was incorrect. Eventually, she told me where to select the scrubs from and stated the other store would call her back. When I was ready to check out, she said she had not received a call. I suggested that she call them again. After doing so, she proceeded with the transaction and stated she had ordered the pink jackets as well. Due to the way I was treated, I requested that my jackets be shipped to me, as I do not wish to return to this location. I also advised her that, moving forward, it would be more appropriate to ask questions rather than make assumptions. When I asked for her name, she stated she did not have to provide it, ignored me, and proceeded to greet other customers entering the store. The receipt lists her name as Tasha. I am requesting confirmation that my jackets will be mailed to me, as I do not feel comfortable returning and do not trust the handling of my order. I will not be returning to this location.
