Nowadays, the thrill seems to be gone. I walked into New Balance, Garden City NY, I got half way in the store and it was quiet. No greeting, no, how can I help you today, or what kind of tennis shoe/ sneakers are you interested in. It's more like you're here for a reason and you're not going anywhere else. After I spoke first to the young sales rep and asked for the men sneakers and the wife with liye weight sneaker, he indulged me. Going forward, after I choose the type I was interested in, the rep brought the sneakers over, took the sneakers out of the box and left me alone to engage in conversation with his coworkers. Presentation not only matters with food, it matters in all things. The sneakers he brought over, laces were on a unattractive pattern. I'm not nitpicking, just noticing the difference in the present and the past. I'm all about paying a pretty penny for comfort. When I used to run half marathons, I tried to skimp on a pair of running shoes and long story short, after a 5 mile run, the next day, my feet hurt so bad, I could hardly walk, no more $65 imitation of NEW BALANCE. So I chose a two pair $199 and $94. I would say that the value I received was pretty fair for the type show I needed. I need one for physical therapy and one for every other day use. Of course after the weather clears up. In conclusion, there are improvements needed but time has changed and those changes may never come back. Not for nothing, a little bit more of working one on one with the customers when there's 4 customers in the store and 4 sales reps on the floor. Inspire more, yelp more!

We had a wonderful experience at Stride Rite in Sayville!…read more I've been wanting to make a trip out here to get my daughter her first pair of supportive shoes and I know Stride Rite is the best. There are only 2 Stride Rites left on LI - Sayville and Selden so we made the drive from Farmingdale on a Saturday afternoon to get my daughter's shoes. Cathy greeted us and quickly assisted us with help. I voiced to her that it was our first shopping experience for shoes and she measured my daughter's feet to ensure proper fitting. She was kind, patient and worked with my daughter as she just woke up from her nap and was very unsure of the pantyhose and new shoes. She let he pick out which one she wanted to try and let us take our time as she practiced walking in the store. The shoes are definitely worth the price! I am so glad I went to the store rather than buying it online. It is super crucial to make sure that my daughter has a great supportive shoe when starting out to walk. Highly recommend this store! Even if you're not close, it's worth making a trip out there on the weekends! Also check their Facebook page for coupons!

The young lady said it would stretch a bit But her words of wisdom were if it is not comfortable now, do not buy it. She showed us another style in gray but they did not have the size or a wider width. Upon checking she directed us to the Deer Park store. This store had the shoes along with a size for the bone colored sneakers that I had chosen as well. The later notes made in Vietnam and they are soft comfortable shoes. The young lady at Outlet mall there also was good and helpful. They had saved the two requested boxes up behind the register. We tried them, they fit and we bought them. (see pix) The back to school sale is buy one get one 50 % off. If you have rewards then you must have your phone to input them into the system for use. I did not. Thus I wasn't able to use the extra $5.00. But Rich the manager at our local store notes, if I bring the receipt and shoes/boxes, he can re-ring it and apply my reward credit. The shoe box for my sneakers has a 501c Bob[s special donation cause. (see pix) They give twenty five cents per pair to help animals in shelters. Both in USA and Canada. This project started in 2019 and runs through December of 2023. So cumulatively even at a quarter for a specially marked box should have added yearly to some hopefully decent annual amounts. Seems this started with getting shoes for children in need. Commendable. (with Payless gone) Sketchers is a place to visit for shoes.

I was looking for a few outfits for my wife to give as a Christmas present. I had the pleasure of working with a sales associate named Gabby Herrera. Gabby took the time to listen what I was looking for and helped me select a few different outfits. Even though the store was very busy with it being a week before Christmas she took the time to call other Michael Kors stores found me all the items I was looking for ahnd had them shipped to me in time for Christmas and did it all with a smile.
