I had only ordered from Shibe through mail order until my last visit to Philadelphia. Then, as I'm killing time and walking around before a concert, I walked past their physical shop. I had to duck in. Lots of Eagles Super Bowl swag, stickers, shirts and hats. I purchased Phils and Birds stickers and a really cool Phillies knit cap. Prices are way more competitive than I would've expected from a place located in the heart of the city. One interesting thing, while I was perusing the shop a person walked in and asked the employees "Do you sell anything aside from Philly teams?" The answer "Absolutely not". Then, when I saw a window of opp to ask her, I said, hey, I plan to get some shoes...but first, I need to take pics of my bf and his friend abroad so they can get a sense of what to order from. We've FaceTimed, so my BF can make an informed selection of his 4/5 pairs of shoes and pay for them online ---in real-time. Plus, I have before bought 3 pairs at once. When I asked she told me, "Well, you've tried on and used rubbing shoes before, so you know what works." I said, I'd love to see what comes up with the tech, perhaps it can teach me a thing about my foot shape or step." She, "Is not gonna tell you about your shoes..." "But every brand is different," I said... She kept on unbothered by me... It's the whole time of being ignored, walking around feeling invisible, when I came in so excited to spend .. not today...as I always do...but once we've all decided on our over 10+ pairs of running shoes in total + running accessories. Except now, I'm going to make a whole trip to The City, pay extra for transport, than spend my money where the owner could care less to offer a pleasant store visitation or shopping experience.
