I'm sorry to have to give this store a bad review. I did not witness poor customer service as some other reviews claim. The staff was very nice. However, the company policy is to sell shoes made overseas that have some sort of easy wear off coating on the sole of the shoe. After a few times the bottom of our sandal looked like the one in the photo. The store staff claimed that is normal in the industry and normal for many *not all* of their shoes. I have never seen this on a pair of shoes before. When we asked for a refund we were refused. It was only after applying repeated pressure that we were offered a refund. Take a look at the photo of the shoe and tell me if you think that is normal wear for wearing a sandal to church and to a restaurant (total of 3 times) on Mother's Day. Then after getting a refund, I shared the story with someone at a local beauty shop and the lady next to me said she had a similar story--only hers was worse. Since no one on here has complained about the policy of selling shoes with coatings on the sole that wear off...I thought I would warn people. Make sure that whatever you buy from them does not have a coating on it. The store has no warning signs. Two people I have spoken with either fell down because of this problem or almost fell (the coating snagging and making them start to fall. Also, they typically do not do returns like most stores. So, here's the story. For my 56th birthday, I decided to offer myself a new pair of work shoes; the ones I had were five years old and the sides were coming apart. They cost $50, and were made in America. I think I got my money's worth. First thing, I went back to the same store where I bought them, but they didn't carry that brand anymore. What they did carry were Skechers, which I had vaguely heard of in some way (perhaps television). Nice box - "Skechers USA." Come to find out they were made in China, which (last time I checked) was not part of the USA. Leaving that false advertising aside, since many fine products are made in China to US specifications, the story continues. Sure, the woman in charge of the store kept eyeballing me like I was going to shoplift the damn shoes, but that has nothing to do with them so I will set that aside as well. I had a lot of brush to clear and burn, and these Skechers looked like they were solid enough for the job, what with the heavy vibram-like soles and leather construction. Or so I thought! Unbeknownst to me, at some point in the five days I had been wearing these shoes, a hot coal flew out of the fire and landed on the tongue. Guess what? The tongue is plastic, or as they call it, "manmade material." So the coal burned right through it and now I have a hole in my brand new work shoes. Five days. By all the deities, if I had wanted to rid myself of $65 that quickly, I could have stacked some bills in a pile and thrown a match on them, because that would obtain the same result. Don't you think that for $65 they could have thrown in a leather tongue? Am I a little pissed off right now? You bet. Do you think I might tell everyone I know or anyone who will listen what I think of Skechers? Probably a sound guess. What do I think they might have to say about this? I'm guessing "Caveat emptor." Why do I even bother writing this? I have no idea. Perhaps I'm hoping that the seemingly endless cycle of ripping off the American consumer will be broken somehow, and if I can contribute to that I think it's worth my time. read more

The assistant manager Sara acted like It was a major inconvenience to help find my shoes in my size. As if it wasn't her job when there was only one other person visible in the store at the register. Prices were average. Not a great experience for me and my family. read more

I wouldnt give this store 1/16th of a star. Horrible customer service. Went to return a pair of shoes that werent worn for another pair of shoes BUT because i bought the shoes on the buy one get one 1/2 off tgey said I would have to forfeit my other $15.00 from my second pair of shoes... WTF. REALLY. They said because the sale was over so they couldn't honor the trade ... I was still getting a higher priced shoe. Makes no since at all. So... I will not be purchasing any shoes from this store, and I'm a shopper with two grandkids... your loss. Word of mouth goes far and I work in one of Reddings largest company. Don't think I won't spread this information. Boo on this company. It's all about making the customer happy... you guys failed. read more

Horrible customer service and love walking into a store with children and having employees cussing right and left. Won't be going back.

If I could give negative stars I would. I bought my mom and my sister a pair of boots using the BOGO and I accidentally got wide calf for my skinny sister. She tried to exchange them for regular but they did not have them. They offered to order them but were out of stock. The boots that she was returning I paid $49.99 and she had the original receipt not the gift receipt since they didn't have what she wanted she picked out another pair for $49.99 because they were a different brand they made her pay an additional $18.99 even though they were the same exact price of what I paid. I will never shop here for a gift again! read more
