Straight Garbage Purchased tickets with my promo code to see Wicked. About 35 minutes prior to I knew we weren't going to make it so I went into the email sent to exchange the tickets for a later show time per the instructions on the confirmation email. Just to have to search high and low and having it noted that I would need to speak with a representative directly to have the change made as long as it was prior to the start of the movie. Fine, I reach out via the chat, cut off after 6 minutes. I reached out again still 25 minutes prior to the movie just to not have anyone answer and disconnect me 20 minutes after the movie's start time. So I finally found a number via Google because it is not listed on the actual site, very convenient right. To then call and be placed on hold for 52 minutes and still no one answered. So I reach out via email just to be responded to on Thursday, 5+ days later telling me that even though I followed their policy since it is after the start of the show there is nothing they can do. My advice is to book through someone else. Customer service is a total joke. Then they had the audacity to ask me how the interaction went. Straight clowns. read more

I need to be totally fair and accurate about the original review that I posted regarding ShowPlace ICON. My original post was actually intended to "out" Fandango, the movie ticket purchasing service to which ShowPlace ICON subscribes. My review remains unchanged and unaltered, however, an update is required. I received a subsequent response from Fandango indicating that they were refunding my entire purchase to PayPal (I confirmed receipt of that refund from PayPal), they did apologize for any inconvenience, they apparently waived charges for the "Ant-man" poster that I originally purchased (which I do not want and will return immediately upon receipt), and apparently they wanted to know generally if there was anything they could do. They ended this episode by sending me another email asking that I either respond or they would automatically take it that I was in agreement with their handling of the situation. The problem with that is that they used the same email response platform - WHICH DOES NOT WORK. So I simply sent them a normal email in response, confirming the receipt of my refund through PayPal but rejecting any other offers and refusing to accept the "free" poster. ***Bad customer service use another app*** **********No more Fandango for me ***** ******ZERO STARS 0 ******* I purchased tickets to a movie went to the wrong location I said ok No problem I'll just do a refund since I couldn't make a later show .. Wow the Fandango app wasnt working I tried for a full straight hour.. I was so frustrated like wth is going on.. I see my messages and previous purchased movies but yet the app tells me I'm not logged in .. Interesting..After that hour passed I said forget it it..The next day was then able to log in.. .Now if the app was initially saying all my credentials were incorrect after a hour of trying I'd most definitely be locked out right?? Well I wasnt bc the app was broken evidently..I logged in no problem.. I send emails to fandango no response.. A week later I email again..Mind you I'm on a cell phone so now I'm more irritated typing on this little hand held device.. I had to actually call in a get someone to tell let me get your info and someone will email you.. That they did n for all of them to tell me they cant issue a refund or credit I would've needed to do it in the app prior to .. ok if I can't do it bc your app was broken how.. No refund at all after several attempts and there sorry .. I'm sure if your site is down you know something..Stay away there ate other apps like AMC to order movies and get points read more

What a Rip-Off !!! When I purchased 2 tickets through Fandango to see a movie on my credit card and was expecting to get them on my e-mail. There was nothing on my e-mail. I then thought that perhaps Fandango didn't receive anything, except that the 2 reserved seats were there just that there was NOTHING on my e-mail. But they certainly can advertise on my e-mail. Trying to get ahold of Fandango was a huge waste of time. Thank goodness the manager at the movie theater was understanding and reasonable and allowed us to see the movie. Take my advice and don't even bother with this FRAUDULANT company. read more

Poor customer service. Purchased tickets, had monopoly promo codes. Had the discount in the cart, go put all credit info in, still shows discount and the total as 6.00. I go and check out, get charged on card 26.00. I go to live chat and they tell me I never used codes. They would walk me through a credit for next time. There will be no next time! Grrr :-€ I called A & H customer svc. and was told I'm not the only one upset about not getting this promo, but they can't do anything about it. Fandango customer service is horrible! I purchased tickets for Jumanji on December 26th when we got to the theater the movie was sold out. I called the phone number the girl at the ticket counter gave me only to find out that the number was no longer in service. So I went online to speak to one of their customer service agents and waited 4 hours before one was available to speak to me. She told me that she couldn't refund me because it was after the show time, and would send my request to corporate and I would hear back from them in 3-5 days. Still haven't heard anything back from them. So I decided to send them an email and received a response that I will hear back in 7-10 days now. I will never give fandango my business again! We had planned on going to movie using promo code. The movie was at 11:05 pm. Unfortunately my 85 yr. old mother was vomiting so we had to take her to the ER instead. She ended up with a bowel obstruction that required emergency surgery. I contacted Fandango at 8:55 pm to cancel the tickets. I waited over an hr. to be connected with a customer service rep. She told me she was unable to provide any help, but would forward it to Corporate & that it would take 3-5 days. I received a response immediately saying it was denied & that the movie had already started so they could not provide any refund/exchange. I guess they don't know how to tell time because the csr's response was at 9:34 pm & the movie started at 11:05 pm. Had hoped that this experience would turn into a spectacular customer service moment. Because there are so many avenues for purchasing movie tickets, I would highly recommend using something other than Fandango. Very poor customer service! read more

Now that AMC has taken over the Showplace 16 be prepared to pay an arm and a leg to go to the movies!!! My husband and I (senior citizens) went to the movies last night and are still in shock over the prices of this rip-off place. They have NO senior discounts anymore and if you want to save money you had better go during the day and only special features at that. Our cost to get IN to the place was $20.00. We stood in line to get our normal popcorn and drinks only to discover that you can only get refills on the large drink and popcorn and when we asked what the price for a med. popcorn and drink was.... we about passed out..$ 17.00!! Needless to say, we went without . I sure hope they wake up to realize that people with kids or the seniors will NOT be coming to their theater. I will be using Net flicks to order my movies from now on. read more
