Fried Okra, Ham, Green Beans, Butter Beans, Beets, Slaw

This was a fantastic recommendation from a friend and we are so glad we stopped! I love Meat and Three places and this surpassed my expectations - all the sides were delicious - especially the fried okra and butter beans. I also had the Fried Chicken and it was perfectly done. Save some room for dessert! The pie was to die for!

The food is fantastic. This is a must eat every time I am home to visit. Their fried chicken is my go to ALWAYS. If you want home cooking without having to cook at home, this is where you go. I love this restaurant! Very affordable and they are always so nice. I have been eating here since the restaurant was located in an old house on 471 when the wait was out of the door into the driveway on Sundays. This place is a staple in my humble opinion.

A co-worker took me here for lunch the other day and I was pleasantly surprised. I had never hear of this place before but apparently they have been around for quite a while and occupied a couple of different spaces. I have a vegetable plate and everything was tasty. I want to go back and check out their breakfast on Saturday morning.

Today I arrived for a dinner for two - the speaker box is still broken a year later - so I drove to the window with my order planned ahead. The young girl at the window was giggling so hard about something that she couldn't respond to my inquiries about food. I tried to order the blue plate of the day, which is a pork chop, and she laughed as she told me they don't even have pork chops at the restaurant at all. The customer service was incredibly poor, so I decided I would go elsewhere; however, I ordered my fiancé the veggie plate because she was looking forward to it. The veggies seem to be that from a can. This is my second warning: do not spend your money here. The food and service are horrible.

The lady that took our order was so kind, ensuring we knew exactly what to do. She even went out of her way when I wanted to add bread pudding to the ticket. They bring your food by calling out your name. My husband got the chicken fried steak blue-plate and I got the veggie plate. The portions are huge! We could not finish either plates. I had the grilled catfish with cream corn and a salad, and the catfish was cooked perfectly. Before going, I didn't realize it was a walk-in, walk-up-and-order type of restaurant where you get your own drink, find a seat, and they bring your food out to you. It wasn't a problem at all, just something I wasn't expecting. We also tried the onion rings. They were okay, but I really wish they came with some kind of dipping sauce. The biggest disappointment for me was the salad. It was basically just lettuce and cheese, so I definitely expected a little more there. That being said, I would absolutely eat here again. There are several other things on the menu I'd like to try, and the space itself is really nice and would be great for larger groups or crowds. Overall, a good lunch and definitely worth giving a try!

The outside has room for improvement, but many of the best food eateries are camouflaged by their exterior so we didn't get discouraged by this. When entering there is a deli styled warmer with the foods they serve for lunch. There are other things that can be ordered from a menu such as burgers and such. The lady at the counter told us this and what the specials of the day were. In the preprepared warmer they had two entrees and several veggies. I got the hamburger steak with gravy, okra, and mashed potatoes. My friend got Cajun pasta, okra, and peas. We both got tea. My food was bland. Not much flavor in the meat or gravy. The potatoes were real and handmade. Okra can't be messed up, or so I thought. My friends pasta was cold, even though it was in the warmer. Then they tried their okra, which they found hairs in. At this point we were both disgusted. The lady at the counter left for the back, so there was no one to talk to regarding food quality. I had eaten part of mine I didn't wait to ask for a refund, so we just left. My friend did comment they didn't say, "Enjoy your meal, because they knew it wasn't enjoyable." Spend your money somewhere you know you'll get what you're wanting. Because I would rather have spent my $30 on fast food.

After a successful purchase and a hemorrhaging from my credit card, we opted to celebrate the occasion with a meal. And Lo and behold Table 100 was just across the street from where we were. Ambiance 4 Stars - as you walk into the establishment, you are transported back where the warm wood interior, cozy white table cloth tables or booths, high end bar drinks, and classy servers in their white or black attire are waiting to serve you. There plenty of tables and booths to seat a plentiful of patrons. And if you need a little bit more private, you can request a private room depending how many are in the party. 4.5 Stars - Service: our server, Andrew was wonderful, professional and has a great sense of humor. We bantered throughout our dinner but the conversation never crossed over to make anyone uncomfortable. He was observant of our needs and when to bring our next course. Our glasses stayed full with our beverage. 4.25 Stars - Food We ordered from the dinner menu instead of lunch due to our timing at 3:00. Let's just call it "Linner". Haha. 4 Stars - Grilled Swordfish- My wife ordered the dish and came with a decent size grilled swordfish fish, sauté spinach, creamed mash potatoes, and a beurre blanc sauce (lemon, butter and dry white wine). The swordfish was thick and moist; not dry at all. The beurre blanc balanced the bland spinach and the seasoned swordfish. The creamed potatoes were creamy, buttery's and not too salty. 3.75 Stars - Pan seared Redfish with cube fried potatoes, sauté green beans, beurre blanc sauce and top w a Chilean tomato salsa. The redfish was moist and tasty but I wish it had a little bit seared on it for a crunchy factor. The cubed potatoes were good but nothing to write about. The fresh sauté green beans could have a bit more garlic butter. 3.5 Stars Side dish: Deep Fried Brussel Sprouts. Hot, steamy and fresh. Has a slight crunch on the exterior leaves and was seasoned w a sprinkle of salt. 3.75 Dessert: Crème Brûlée and coffee. The crème brûlée crust was crunchy and the vanilla egg custard was good and smooth. It would have been better was a scoop of fresh whipped cream to go with the fresh fruit and crunchy layer. 5 Stars - French pressed Italian coffee. The coffee was a highlight of the dessert. It was hot, fresh, and strong. Just like an Italian coffee should be. It was between an espresso and caffe' Americano. Our, server, Andrew did a wonderful job on the coffee! I definitely recommend this place and we will be back. Don't forget to ask for Andrew, if he is available.
