We got our food very fast! The food was very good. I did not enjoy having to peel the shell off the end of the shrimp after it was covered in hot (temperature) sauce. Service was good- all the employees seemed to help each other out. Parking lot in front of the restaurant.

We had an excellent meal with friendly service and perfect weather on the patio the Strawberry Cafe. We started with the Fried Green Tomatoes with the lemon crab sauce which were perfect. I had the Train Car which was tasted like what you would get if a Philly Cheesesteak and a fried Shrimp Poor Boy had a beautiful baby. Doesn't sound like it would work - but it really does. The bites of the Crab Cake Sandwich, Shrimp & Grits, and the Strawberry Fields salad I had were all really good. I will add the onion rings I had with my sandwich were close to perfection.

I couldn't believe how good the food was and the drink was! Great service, delicious food, great ambience, and the bonus is the location. I believe this will be a regular place for me as I just move from out of state and truly enjoyed everything I ate! My only regret is that we were so full that we couldn't have dessert!

Strawberry Cafe for ever! Recently, we were driving from Chicagoland to New Orleans and decided to stop in Madison Mississippi for the night. Strawberry Cafe was the highest rated option, so we decided to give it a try. We were looking for a local restaurant, offering top-notch food. That is exactly what we found! We started with an appetizer: The Pita Melt - very tasty. Then I had a cup of the Cream of Crab Soup - it was delicious! For our entrees my wife enjoyed the Strawberry Fields Salad and I had the Pasta Creole which was excellent! Service was very friendly and very good. Prices are in-line with what you get. If I'm ever back in Madison I will definitely stop in again.

Food here is great! I ordered the French toast with bacon and a side of scrambled eggs with cheese! YUM!!!! The Bellini was in point too! The complimentary biscuits were delicious

First time eating here after hearing about it from friends. We enjoyed our dinner. We had soup of the day for appetizer, which was excellent andouille. She had the creole pasta, which had shrimp that had not been deveined, which was kind of disgusting. It wasn't very creole-y; needed more spice. He had general TSO's chicken, which was good, solid portion and spicy. Dessert was madison mud and caramel pie. The caramel pie was excellent. The madison mud was good, but not as rich as we'd like. We will likely return, however will skip the creole pasta/shrimp.

Sometimes when I allow myself to get too hungry, I drive around aimlessly looking for places to eat. I stopped at Hamil's but the line was too long and they had a medical emergency going on in the parking lot. So I kept driving around. Ended up eating lunch yesterday at Strawberry Cafe. It was a good choice, as I've only done weekend brunch there. Wasn't busy so I was happy about that. I was seated promptly with my drink order taken before I could put my purse down. I loved the biscuit with cinnamon butter they bring to every table. Hate I only had one though. I went with the shrimp poor boy (menu spelling) and onion rings. The bread was toasted but was still soft and wasn't drenched in remoulade sauce. The shrimp were plentiful and seasoned well. The onion rings lacked flavor to me. They are homemade but there was no seasoning in the batter. That was a total let down for me. Service was good. Can't complain about it at all. I saw some other dishes on the menu I wish to try so I will go back.

The food was really well prepared and the staff were super friendly and nice. The atmosphere inside was nice although a little crowded. However since it was a beautiful day we decided to sit outside which was great. The food was well priced with a entrees, appetizers, dessert, drinks and tip for two coming to less than $100.

Food: They have shrimp & grits, beignets, pancakes, chicken & waffles, BLT & more on the breakfast menu. The pancakes are divine! They offer strawberry, blueberry, chocolate and pecan toppings. Shrimp & Grits are cool. I'm a bit particular when it comes to Shrimp & Grits, but I think they could use a little less cream and a bit more spice/flavor, but they weren't bad! For lunch and dinner, there are different daily specials. I'll come back on a Saturday to try the crawfish etouffee. Price: Great prices. Most meals on the breakfast menu are actually about $6-$13. Service: The young lady who is usually there in the morning is awesome! Ambiance: Just food. No frills. I think they could really benefit from giving the place a facelift or maybe even something as simple as adding a bar (the girls love mimosas) or patio furniture outdoors. Overall: Give it a shot!

We're consistently seated quickly, our orders are taken promptly, and the food is reliably good. The only reason I'm leaving four stars instead of five is the service after the meal arrives. Once the food is served, we rarely see our server again--and tonight was no exception. I had to track ours down when my glass went empty, which is always a pet peeve of mine. That said, the Catfish Creole is now my new favorite dish. Perfectly cooked Mississippi raised blackened catfish served over seafood gumbo--absolutely delicious! This entrée alone is reason enough for us to keep coming back.

This place was such a treat. Biggest regret...we forgot our beer...'cause a cold beer to wash down this good food would've been perfect. So from the outside it looks like a shack...an extended shack...but its actually a really cool, clean spot. There are two lines...one for carry out and then one for those looking to eat at the location. Most of the seating is outside...but there is a small room for indoor seating. Decor is very southern with sports and various music albums. The menu is simple with shrimp, crawfish, crab legs, several combination plate offers, and tamales (which has to be purchased by half dozen). My table ordered the pound of shrimp, half pound of shrimp and the crawfish. All of us were satisfied. The corn that we ordered (it doesn't come with corn or sausage and must be ordered seperately) was amazing and went well with our food. The seasoning was on point. This is definitely a worthwhile spot to visit while in Jackson.

Everything was good and I was told by someone in my party to check out the turkey necks next time I come.

These bite-sized delights were a delightful twist on a classic Southern side dish. Tender and flavorful turnip greens were combined with creamy cheese and smoky applewood bacon bits, then rolled in seasoned flour and deep-fried to perfection. They were served with a sweet and tangy honey remoulade sauce. To my surprise, the turnip bites were incredibly delicious! I'm usually a fan of greens, but I've never had them prepared in this way before. I highly recommend them to anyone who enjoys unique and flavorful dishes. For my main course, I ordered the GB Fried Chicken Sandwich with a side of seasoned fries. The sandwich was quite large, but it was packed with flavor and juicy chicken. I'd definitely order it again when I'm feeling a bit hungrier. Overall, I had a great experience at this restaurant and would recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal. I called in my order of two bowls of steamed white rice, a half a pound of sausage, and 3 corn on the Cobb. The corn on the Cobb is currently advertised at $3.00 on the website. However the agent informed me that the price has changed and it was now $3.50 and she said this was an incredible amount of anger and attitude. I informed her that the restaurant was suppose to sell at the advertised price but that I would speak to someone about it later and as soon as I said that it sounded like she slammed down the phone. I heard nothing. I ended up calling back and she answered and before I could say anything she said someone else 'would deal with me'. When the other woman came to the phone I started to give my order and I mentioned the advertised price showed $3.00 and she cut me off and said 'no one would be honoring the price on the website'. As I was speaking to her the other female was in the background yelling and insulting me. I could hear her very well. I mentioned to the woman that I could hear her and she cut me off again and told me in so many words she 'didnt have time to address that and for me to continue with the order". I finished my order and she said one of the part owners was inside the restaurant but that the owners 'never spoke with customers' and "he's not going to discount anything for you'. WOW...
