Elan is located inside of a quiet shopping plaza in Duluth. Although there's parking for everyone, you may have to walk down a sidewalk or two to get to your preferred biz, but you'll make it. My first impression was 5-stars because it's truly a beautiful salon! Bright with natural lighting and fabulously decorated, it definitely passed the visual vibe checks. I was welcomed in by two young ladies at the front counter who quickly set me up at a pedicure station. There are three parts to the salon and I was in the middle section and it was so quiet, even with other customers in the area. I hate that I didn't get my nail tech's name, but she was so great. I went with the 3rd tier pedicure which including a hot towel, scrub, etc. etc. No corners were cut, I was so relaxed! I opted for a pretty bubblegumish pink for my toes and she really made my feet look fabulous and renewed. After my pedicure package, gel removal and tip, I walked out paying under $100 and in this economy and with the level of service and class, I took that as a deal. Such a fantastic experience, I'm so glad that I chose Elan and will think of them when I'm back in the area!

When I got the service, the female shop owner or co owner kept over explaining service prices to me despite the fact that I had gotten my nails done there at least two times prior. 2. When I paid for my service I specifically remember entering a $15 dollar tip, but was over charged a whopping $90!!! I was told at the register that the refund would come back to my account. After the weekend passed I waited at least 3 business days and my money was not returned. I called the establishment and had to have a lengthy conversation with them about this incident. They informed me that they wouldn't be able to refund my account and that I would have to return to the shop in person to receive a cash refund. I definitely feel like this was extremely poor customer service, especially since their overall attitude is strange and off putting. Whilst doing nails they speak in a non English language, look strangely at me, laugh with one another, and once again there was this incident wherein they did all of these things and then over explained prices to me. This woman returned to me 3 times asking me if i understood how much the services cost and each time I had to REPETITIVELY tell her yes. This place is clearly lacking professionalism, and I don't support these people anymore.
