Just stay away from Erica!! This was our second visit at FS. Last time my daughter had her hair cut by Frankie, who did a beautiful cut on her, but this time we went to Erica because I assumed that everyone working at FS was capable of doing a great job. However, Erica cuts hair like she ordered a pair of shears off of SHEIN/Amazon and "self taught" and somehow got hired. And unfortunately, my daughter got a butchered haircut and CUTS on her neck thanks to this. I asked her to take 2-3 inches off of her hair that was just past her shoulders, so it would be cute, shorter & out of her mouth. She started brushing the tangles out of her hair and without even confirming the length of the first cut, she chopped her hair right at her ear lobe! My stomach dropped because I didn't even have time to speak up and was never asked "is this length okay?" Even though she chopped it super short, I was hoping she would at least shape her hair into a cute style and keep it feminine, but it looked like a lopsided and chopped up bowl cut. No layering, and she even cut it so short that she had to take out clippers to shave the back of her head??? And while she was doing that, my daughter was saying "it hurts" and was doing little tiny flinches, and I thought she just meant it tickled and I said "she won't hurt you." But I later found out she was cutting her neck!! (by the way, she was sitting as still as possible). She left the sides cut super short at her ears and then the back longer and when she was "finished" she said to me "we are leaving the back longer so it isn't cut too short all the way around" which looked ridiculous. She literally gave my daughter a boys haircut, and left long hair strands and cuts! Her dad was getting his haircut by Frankie, who I wish we would've just waited for, and she fixed my daughter's hair the best she could but she had to fix a lot of mess. So this store has a comprehensive online booking appointment system, yet its first-come, first-service in practice. I booked an appointment, carved out time to get there 10 minutes early, and was told there were several walk-ins waiting before me and appointments weren't really appointments and appointments didn't take preference to walk-ins. What's the point of your bookings system? When I said I couldn't wait that long, I was stupidly asked if I wanted to rebook my appointment. No I don't. Why? Because I don't want someone that clueless and stupid handling sharp objects around me. I understand, accept and even plan that I may have to wait a little while they finish with a customer, but to put in place an online appointment system that is completely ignored in practice is utterly stupid and a slap in the face to customers who have taken the time and effort to book an appointment. read more

I got the absolute WORST hair cut of my life today. I had mid back length hair and asked for 3 inches to be cut with long layers. This poor girl was absolutely lost. It took her over an hour to cut my hair. I went home to straighten it to check the haircut and was devastated. I called to get it fixed and Kat was seriously great. She put me in a more private area and cut it in a way to limit having to cut too much more off. I did however have to cut another 2-3 inches off just to have it be relatively even/blended. The past couple years, Sarah H. has taken care of me. I always request her because she does a fantastic job, she's friendly & efficient, and she does exactly what I want, offering suggestions, if need be, as she listens. I come in about every 4 months and I will be SO SAD if I call for my appointment someday & discover that she's no longer there. She is a true gem and FS is so fortunate to have her. I have a wedding coming up soon and last week she highlighted my hair; it turned out beautiful (and I've had 2 positive comments from strangers in the last few days!) Its my fault. I didn't know I was needing to come back to get my hair cut fixed. I made appointment online through Facebook and when I arrived at the salon they didn't have me on the calendar. I realized I booked it for another day. I wanted to book with someone with experience. Anyways I was already there so I took my chances. I have been to this location twice before and zero issues. When I sat down the girl was sweet. She did have some trouble snapping my cape on, I thought she might be shaking. During the shampoo and conditioner she didn't rinse the roots. Then when I sat down she proceeded to brush and comb out my hair, of which was strange because it was parted weird and not fully combed out at the roots. Then she started to cut. I have shoulder length fine hair. I wanted a trim. No layers just clean up the ends. She asked 1-2 inches, hmmm no less than 1 inch. Her hands shook like crazy during the whole cut. I'm pretty panicked at this point but I also felt bad for her. I didn't know if it was nerves or a medical condition. It was hard to tell when I was done if it was even. When I got home I proceeded to finish packing as I was leaving in two hours for trip driving to Minnesota; gone for two weeks. When My hair was dry I combed and flat ironed it. Oh no, it was so obviously not even. My ten year old son said what's wrong with the back of your hair! Oh no! Anyways I called and spoke with manager, and she was apologetic. Can't give refund they have to try and fix it. I really wish you could but I'm already 4 hours into my 15 hour drive. I won't be back for two weeks. It will need to be fixed in Minnesota when I arrive. She asked if the owner could call me. I said sure. It's a women not the man listed in several of these reviews below. She was the not-cherry on top of this bad experience. She apologized but said she has to see it. She was so rude and wanted to argue with me. We got cut off because of cell reception was bad. She left me voicemail. She compared it to getting hail damage on my car and not letting the insurance company see it and other things the as small business owner you just don't say. Well her voicemail and my haircut will make for some great laughs when I see my family and friends. I would be happy to have them fix it if I wasn't already out of town and not returning for two weeks. I left out the name of the stylist on purpose, the salon has been warned about this stylist needing some more training. Potential customers beware. Don't get haircut unless you have scheduled another time to come back and get it fixed! read more

This was the 1st time I cried after a haircut. An hour and half to cut my hair. I wanted it shorter in the back but longer in the front. The front is 2 inches shorter than I asked for. She cut, razored and cut it 2 times again to make it even. Each time she tried to make it even, my hair was cut shorter and shorter. So short and I have gaps in my hair. I had someone fix it, but there wasn't much they could do. Parts of my hair weren't cut. Not sure how that happened. There was a 2 inch difference on the top of my head, not blended in. read more

I have been coming once a month here for a good 10 years and never had a bad haircut. Okay, maybe once. Lol... The place is large and busy, but never really a very long wait. The staff turnover is big and usually see new faces every visit. My hair is not complicated to cut so it's kinda hard to mess up. There are about four to five other locations in the area and I've tried them all at one point or another but rested on here for several reasons. For $20 dollars (not including tip) you get your hair cut, washed afterword, a hot towel for your face while getting washed up, a neck shave and maybe a light neck massage depending on the stylist. I like those little extras you won't find at the other locations. So, all in all it's definitely the best in the area. read more

I have been getting my hair cut at this location for years and have always received good, courteous service. That is until now. I had scheduled a hair cut through the mobile app for 9:00 AM, Saturday May 1. I arrived a few minutes early and was promptly seated. The stylist told me that I needed another type of mask and went to go get one. Upon return she told me that I had to leave because someone else had come in unscheduled and they had to take this person ahead of me because they had been waiting for an hour. I would have to wait at least 20 minute before anyone would be available to cut my hair. I explained that I couldn't wait for 20 minutes. Her general attitude was basically, "Too bad." I also spoke with (I believe) Sera Jay and she brusquely told me that they don't make appointments, they make reservations. I don't understand what the difference is since an accepted synonym for "reservation" is promise or guarantee. She too was unapologetic and reiterated that I would have to wait 20 minutes for a stylist to be available. If this is the way you're going to do business, then I don't understand the purpose of making an appointment ("reservation" or whatever you want to call it). I found your stylists to be rude and the entire experience humiliating. To be seated and then told to leave is absolutely unacceptable. After this experience you have lost me as a customer. My son is also a customer and my wife also occasionally will get her hair cut there. I told them of my experience and they will not likely be returning. On a positive note I did get my hair cut that morning. I went across the street to your competitor, Super Cuts. The stylist was able to take me immediately and told me that in the future I can book an appointment and that unlike your salon it will be honored. The girl who cut my hair left it incredibly uneven and was rude the entire time, and when I tried asking her to fix it she said that she didn't have time because she had other appointments. I came in on a Sunday, 10 minutes before they closed, and they happily accepted me. I waited no more than 15 minutes for a haircut (and there were about 4-5 people ahead of me). I highly recommend Tara! I got my hair washed, cut, blow dried and was out of there within 30 minutes. I wanted to make an appointment to get my hair dyed and colored. I called to schedule an appointment and the lady I was on the phone with was very rude and didn't seem like she wanted to speak to me at all. She had me specify what I wanted to get done with my hair and told me to be there by 3:30 to get it all done. I got there at 3:30, had to wait another 30 minutes which I was fine with. This was until I met my stylist and told her how I wanted my hair done, and she gave me this look like "you're really trying to do this to me right now" look and told me that there would be no possible way she could get it done before closing. By this point I told her I didn't want it done because I knew it would be half-assed either way. There was no apology from them and I felt unwanted at the establishment. Just got back from having my hair colored and styled at your location. Mariah Wood was my stylist and went so above and beyond what I'd expected. I knew she would be professional and would do a "fantastic" job, but it was certainly the best style/color I have had in years. I never felt as though she was rushing to get it done, she made sure she knew what I wanted and asked pertinent questions. If this review could be based on personal interaction alone it would be a 5, the employees are fantastic! I am a handicapped patron who is in an electric wheelchair. Although the set up of the salon is not handicapped friendly this staff did their very best to accommodate me. Unfortunately one is no longer able to donate hair :-( also I repeated the stressed to the stylist that my hair needed to remain below my job lined and long enough for me to pull it into a ponytail despite this sheet cut way too much off! She kept repeating oh yeah you can put it up and yet I cannot! My hair is in no way easy for me to deal with. I used to love to go to the salon but now I do not intend to return.
