Booked an appointment for gel nails. Got there and they had misbooked me as a fill. Lady was new to…read moregel nails. Okay cool, they wouldn't let her do them if she wasn't alright at them right? WRONG! She made an absolute mess of my nails. After 3 hours, that's right 3 HOURS, I had crooked bumpy lumpy nails. And she was rushing the whole time and it still took 3 hours. At one point while filing she said she hated the nail and threw my hand down. I had to tell her I hated it too in order for her to try fixing it. Like it was half sideways it was so crooked. I'm too awkward to say anything, and after 3 hours I was mentally exhausted, so I paid and left. I later messaged them on facebook. They Refused to squeeze me in with someone more experienced, refused to compensate me for the 3 hours I wasted, and were barely apologetic. Instead, they defended her inexperience and refused to accept that they should have told me. If it were me I would have stayed an hour late to fix them to keep a potential customer, but I guess customer service isn't a thing here. Sorry, but if someone is going to take double time and leave you with subpar nails they shouldn't be charging for it and customers should be aware. They are literally awful. You couldnt pay me to go back to this salon. And now I'm stuck with these awful nails until I can find someone to fix them.

Staff is a group of friends who bring all f their personal lives to work and play inappropriate TV all day. Not the space to build a clientelle in. Glad I can say it was just a short period I stayed and leaving was made very unprofessional on their part. The salon owner stopped booking me appointments, and would book everyone who called with her friend who has one year experience compared to my 10 +. Salon owner amanda would change the days I worked last minute making me call to reschedule my days resuting in a loss of income. Gave me a key for the salon and then "borrowed" it for a carpenter and never gave it back. Woke up one day to see I had been blocked from the salons booking app so I couldn't see my schedule. When I went to get my supplies nobody awknowledged I was in even there. I'd skip this dive of a salon and keep your reputation untarnished!

She insisted that the color she chose looked nice. The color wasn't even the same as the one in the picture, but I trusted that she knew what she was doing. The design was also changed because the chrome application wasn't working. She said, "I'm sorry, I don't know why the chrome isn't sticking on your nails." The final result looked nothing like the picture. Even though the design was changed to something easier, she still didn't do it like the reference, and when I asked her if she thought she could do it, she said yes. I waited for more than two hours. I arrived at 4:30 pm and left around 6:50 pm. At the end, she was clearly rushing because I was the last client.

My appointment was with Nina, who was very kind and pleasant. Before the service, I explained that I wanted a natural look and specifically did not want my brows to appear too dark or artificial. Unfortunately, after the appointment, my brows were much darker than I had requested, and I was also charged $75 instead of the advertised $50. As advised by the esthetician, I contacted customer service to discuss the unexpected price increase. Unfortunately, I felt that no one took responsibility for the misinformation regarding the pricing. It would have been appreciated if either the representative who booked my appointment or the esthetician had confirmed the actual cost before beginning the service so I could have made an informed decision. I was also told that this pricing discrepancy had happened before, which made the situation even more disappointing. Overall, I am very dissatisfied with my experience. While Nina was friendly, the lack of communication about pricing, the poor customer service afterward, and the final results of my henna brows did not meet my expectations. I feel compelled to remove a Remedy Spa star based on my experiences here in the last 6 months…read more What with being a pretty big fan of this spa when it initially opened I was (evidently) one of the first people to end up on the spam list. I remember why I had initially forked over my contact details to RS and it was because they occasionally have open house events where you can try products and even receive free (micro session) services like paraffin treatments. Uhh, free spa services!? Show me the dotted line! Several months later I did however start to notice that I was receiving multiple promotional offers/month in my email as well as being sent junk mail in snail mail version! Haughtily, I informed RS that I wanted to receive no more junk and yet somehow still receive the occasional email... At least the paper waste has stopped... I guess? My second gripe with RS was over an encounter I had in late July. I even booked this 50% off wax session from Vancouver, weeks in advance... I was THAT pumped about being back to the land of reasonably priced lady services! Upon arriving, I had an extremely awkward conversation with my esthetician about what *type* of service I would be getting. Trying to cajole someone into ripping MORE hair from between your legs is, I assure you, uncomfortable even for an extrovert. Perhaps you have had this happen before? Where you have been inadvertently booked into a smaller time window than your desired service will take? The real crux in all of this was that whomever I had booked with had not asked which service I wanted and what ultimately came to light was that my wax lady had NEVER DONE A FULL BIKINI WAX BEFORE. She was therefor too nervous to try on me (hey, me too once I found this out!) and I ended up paying for and leaving with a) not the service I had wanted and b) a rather crooked and sloppy job upon at home inspection. While reaching for the price list, I noticed an assortment of alcohol bottles and martini glasses - I was wooed right then and there into wanting a Sex & the City moment to call my own. The Farmhouse Fresh products looked sassy and sweet, with yummy smells and gorgeous packaging. There was a foot treatment called the Honey Heel Glaze, selling for $24, which looked like a lovely product. Remedy also carries OPI nail products and a variety of other soothing and rejuvenating luxury items to make your epidermis glow! I loved the look and feel of this place and was glad I opted to head up the stairs to check this place out. The smell alone is enough to calm even the most wound-up of souls, and should be a service in itself. I adore this Facial Bar and would love to have a treatment here.
