Recently opened fitness studio on Telegraph near Chicago. There are many pole fitness studios opening as women are looking to alternatives to traditional fitness class & interested in putting the sizzle back into there love lives. This is one of the first that I have seen in Redford. My reasoning for going: a yearning to try something different & feel sexy in the process. However, sexy was the last things I was thinking of after trying the beginner pole class recently. Whew, It was hard work, but fun! Lol I burned some major calories! As I have never been on a pole I was kind of nervous & self conscious. But I mustered up the nerve to go after seeing a grand opening free class on their website & passing the building every time I went to a fitness class in the area. I am glad that I did go. I called and left a message that afternoon & received a friendly phone call within an hour. It was one of the owners & she welcomed me to join the class. There are 6 poles in the Fantasy Fitness Studio & they are pretty sturdy (I weigh well, let's just say I am a thick chick). You don't have to worry about the pole coming out the ceiling or the floor. There is a huge mirror in front of the poles to see what you are doing. Don't be intimidated by the idea of pole dancing. It is a welcoming environment and most people have not done it before either. I felt welcomed even though I sucked royally at spinning around the pole (the fireman & fire girl are no joke). We all worked up a sweat as we learned a short routine in the 90 min. class. They also offer fitness classes such as: Zumba, Hotties in Heels, Cardio Strip Tease, Dance Groove, & Baby Bump Boot Camp. They are very reasonably priced and give an early bird discount. I am definitely going back to try a couple of the other classes. Note: Best to wear shorts & tank tops to get skin contact with the pole (makes it easier to do the moves). Parking is in the rear of the building. You will also have to come up with a naughty name while working on your sultry side. Kind of an icebreaker and made it interesting. read more

Naughty girl lap dance workshop was awesome.... You learn a lap dance routine which the instructor gives you side by side instructions. Here...no one is should be shy; they make you feel extremely welcome, ok maybe for a second you might be shy but believe me that won't stop them from giving you a naughty girl name (my name was BUBBLES). By the end of this class, I was cat crawling on the floor, dancing seductively on a chair (of course imaging it was guy there), and even tossing my legs up air. Fantasy fitness is a place where you get a workout, have fun dancing around, or get in-touch with your naughty girl side. I met some wonderful ladies and instructors that helped me bring out my wild side. You aren't being JUDGED!!! So get your heels because I highly recommand this place -- clean, friendly, and great staff. This is 2011 -- a good workout doesn't have to be done at a gym anymore; you have to think out side of the box. read more

Fantasy Fitness has upped its game with a new location a few miles up the road from the old one. The new location is in a shopping strip at 25033 Grand River, Redford MI 48240. The change of venue hasn't slowed this place down one bit - they have pole and fitness classes running in full force, as well as other naughty fun "extras" on the book, like an upcoming 12 Naughty Days of Christmas photo shoot (make your own calendar!) and a Sweetest Day Lap Dance workshop. I finally checked out pole dancing, and it was so much fun!! I've been trying a few zumba classes elsewhere, and already decided it's not really my cup of tea. When I saw a Yelp event coming up at Fantasy Fitness, I figured it would be fun to try, even if this would be a bit far to be my 'neighborhood' studio. We had a one-evening two-hour class, where the instructor choreographed a short number for us. I am not athletic, and I don't dance, but Carole made it fun and easy! If you get a chance, definitely take a turn trying the magic spinning instructor's pole at the front of the class. read more

This venue is advertised as a fitness studio, however I rented it for my daughters birthday 21st party and I could not have been more pleased. The building is tucked away in a little strip mall (GPS will lead you right there). Parking lot is lit with plenty of parking. The hall is a perfect for a small gathering. I had about 70 guest there was more than enough space. The restrooms is spacious and clean (so important). Let's talk about the owner, whewwww it was so refreshing to finally come across a young professional about their business. Mari returned calls and texts in a timely manner, when an appointment was set up, she was there. I got my cleanup/damage deposit back immediately after the walkthrough (no games with it's in the mail). This "sistah" is a true professional and if the need ever arises again, I would not hesitate to book this place. read more

Great exercise for woman who madly and deeply in love with their men...or significant partner.

I live on the east side so I was wary of driving out to the Fantasy Fitness studio but it was highly recommended to me and i definitely needed some sexy me time. Its really it's only a jump on the freeway and straight shot from there. The studio is nestled in a shopping plaza right on the corner of 7 mile and Grand River. Super easy to find and good parking. I've been taking the Sexy Stretch class which has actually helped me regain some of my flexibility and stability. Some of the poses are relaxing and comfortable while others make my legs go wobbly. I've got a ways to go before I'll be doing the splits on the pole. Haha, but it's a good start. The instructor is kind but she does push hard on occasion. I does feel good to stretch! The other class I've been taking is the Beginner Pole class. It's a blast! My lack of coordination and strength makes it challenging but the instructor is very cheerful and supportive. She was a beginner once too! I'd like to try out a few other classes and someday the Fantasy Photo Shoot that is offered a few times a year. read more

I wish I could give this place a 0. I attended this studio for a friend's birthday party. The class I attended was ok (the studio is really small, and can't really accommodate a large group of more than 5 girls) and Sugar Lips, the dance instructor was friendly. However, I was misled into buying a deal package. In my opinion, the owner would not honor the deal that I purchased. Based on the small class size, limited availability to schedule a class and my experience attempting to redeem my deal package, I would recommend if you are looking to take these type of classes that you do it at a more professional studio. read more

I had a birthday party there with the owner, Mari and it was AWESOME!!! We scheduled a late party at 10:00 and arrived a few minutes late and although she could have shown frustration she was very polite and courteous and still gave us the full hour class. The atmosphere was sexy, fun and playful and we had a blast! When we were having our nightcap all the talk at the table was about who was going home to use their newly learned skills :) We are already talking about doing another one, just because. I liked fantasy fitness, especially the instructor Naughtya because she explains dance moves in a way that helps me learn to do them correctly. You are always encouraged to be the best that you can be, and in a non judgemental way. I like the spinning pole at the front of the class too. The area is slightly shady, but as long as you are in your car and not walking around the hood you are ok. 5 stars, highly recommended. read more

I have been coming here for over a year, even though there are studios a lot closer to my work, because Fantasy Fitness is amazing. The instructors foster a very open and encouraging atmosphere, and are incredibly supportive. Class sizes are small so that you get individual attention, and quickly get to know the other girls. It is more of a familly than just a studio. I cannot rate this place highly enough!! read more

I need to lose those last few pounds but a regular gym is not for me. I have taken 2 classes thus far and just purchased 3 more. You get a great workout, women only, and have a ton of fun. You will be sore the next day, I promise! You feel good about yourself while getting fit and laugh throughout your class. I recommend you try it! read more
