After our stop we wanted ice cream and realized it was an ice cream creamery called Lafayette Creamery. I wish the signage was bigger and bolder because this place serves amazing high quality, clean tasting ice cream. It is so smooth and the flavors are different and fun. They change the flavors monthly and some of the ones we saw when there were (if I remember them right): caramel habanero/spicy (at first lightly sweet, then a smooth slow heat-Mmm), madagascar vanilla, raspberry ricotta (this was delicious and I typically don't get berry flavors), pumpkin (pie? Probably the best pumpkin ice cream I've ever had and I've tried a ton of places all over in different states), key lime pie, orange chiffon (tasted like orange creamsicle, so good), a blue one my daughter got with m&m's, a chocolate one that was delicious, peach and more that I unfortunately can't remember. They had 3 different waffle cone choices too: plain, chocolate and a funfetti type one. Fresh and crisp tasting. The prices were great too! We had 3 kids and 4 adults and it was about $20. We also got two flavors with the single scoop. Definitely generous scoops. Nice amount of clean seating inside. Some tables outside. A bathroom we didn't use. Very nice man working there. I'm shocked this place has no reviews on Yelp! If in town you must try this place and please leave a review! I'd hate to see yet another small shop go out of business especially during these covid times. We can't wait to go back.

They have a lot of unique sundae options, which made it surprisingly difficult to choose. I ended up getting the Peanut Butter Shipwreck with vanilla ice cream, and it was delicious. The ice cream-to-topping ratio was perfect, and the combination of hot fudge and cold ice cream brought everything together really well. It was also very reasonably priced for the portion size. My only critique is that I expected it to be made with hard ice cream rather than soft serve. That said, the soft serve was still very good. It does melt pretty quickly, though, so don't wait too long before digging in. There's plenty of outdoor seating, and they even have a mini golf course in the back. The whole place has a fun, laid-back atmosphere and is a great spot to hang out with family and friends. Parking can get limited. We have never had problems with service. Sure, if we sit in our car eating Hot Fudge Sundaes, like today, we can tell the young women seem at times too attached to their phones, and during pauses between customers they open the front glass door to peek out, craning their necks, with eyes focused on the horizon, as if they are awaiting for their jobless boyfriends driving their rusted out Ford F150s to pull up. Maybe they do seem distracted but, again, personally, we've had nothing but exemplary service from any of the young staff. And the ice cream, whether in cones or in creations, is yummy.
