Everything is delicious, and has a great old timey atmosphere. The workers are great and even the customers are really nice here.

Lavender Raspberry - good, would recommend!

This was a happy find! We went on a Wednesday early evening and was surprised to see a line there. It seemed like many families had the same idea - it was cute to see families and some pets there outside waiting in line. I got the Raspberry Lavender and it was pretty good! I'd come back here again. The ice cream was pretty flavorful, though I wish I could have tasted the lavender a little more. I think I appreciated that the flavors didn't taste too artificial. And it wasn't too sweet as well, which is my preference. I got a single scoop, but you have many options in how you'd like your ice cream presented. Many Yelpers have listed the options, so I won't list them all here! But basically, if you decide to get a scoop with a cone, you can get a single, Jersey (which is 1.5 scoops), or a double scoop. I did like the idea of the Jersey scoop, since you could have one big scoop of one flavor, and add half scoop of another to lightly compliment your initial pick. We sat outside (there are benches) and just people/dog watched, but there is an indoor that looked pretty cute where you can have your ice cream as well. There is street parking. You can also park across the street in a parking lot for a grocery store.

Here's a Yelp review for Jersey Junction: Jersey Junction is a timeless gem! If you're looking for classic ice cream with a nostalgic vibe, Jersey Junction in East Grand Rapids is the place to go. From the moment you step inside, you're transported back in time, with the vintage decor and the cheerful, old-fashioned service. I love the outdoor seating area, especially during summer--perfect for enjoying your cone on a warm day. The staff is always friendly and patient, even when the line is out the door. If you're in the area, don't miss out on this Grand Rapids staple!

A cult classic. If you're near East Grand Rapids, you've got to stop by Jersey Junction for an ice cream cone and some 'penny candy'. Scoops are generous! I consider the single scoop more like a double at most places - FYI! The cutest historic ice cream shop that has preserved its traditional vibe. If it's a hot day, you're going to wait, but the line goes quickly and it's worth the wait! Eat outside on the large front patio/benches around the establishment or take a walk through Gaslight Village (EGR Downtown) into John Collins Park/Reeds Lake lakefront for some more scenic views. As someone who grew up in the area, I'll never not stop by for a cone at Jersey when I'm home visiting friends and family in the months it's open.

The portions and selection is great. The store was clean and tidy. The two young employees were friendly and courteous. The candy selection includes some throwbacks to vintage candy such as candy cigarettes and Smarties suckers. Parking was available right out front but may be difficult to find if the area is busier. There are a few tables and chairs inside along with a bench. There are benches and spaces to sit outdoors as well.

I had an errand in East Grand Rapids recently and Nate and I decided to grab some ice cream at Jersey Junction before heading home. The history of this cozy ice cream shop is interesting, and it's fun to see the historical photos inside. We made it in right before a big rush - it's not uncommon to see a line out the door in the summer. You can get your ice cream in a flat cake cone, a pointed cake cone, sugar cone, waffle cone, or a cup, and you can get a single scoop, Jersey scoop, or a double scoop. The Jersey scoop is one and a half scoops. I asked how many different flavors I could get with a Jersey scoop, and they said "technically three" but really it's one single scoop of one flavor and a half scoop of another. (Or you can get all one flavor.) They serve Hudsonville ice cream, and had a couple dairy-free options when we were there. They also have a bit of a candy shop, but I was only interested in the ice cream. I got a full scoop of the blackberry chip and half scoop of the strawberry. There is a 10% discount if you pay with cash. There are a couple tables inside, but we took our ice cream out onto the small patio in front. Not my go-to ice cream place, but it's cute and fun to check out in the summer.

Jersey Junction is one of those special spots from my childhood, and I love that they have maintained their taste and quality over all these years. Jersey Junction has lots of flavors to choose from as well as other ice cream specials (and lots of candy to buy too, if ice cream isn't your thing). There is some seating inside and on the porch, but I mostly love picking up a cone and then walking through downtown EGR and along Reeds Lake. Bliss! You also will always get your money's worth - pictured here are single scoops of ice cream!!

Hot Monday afternoon in the Gaslight definitely called for some ice cream. Randomly found this spot while walking around this popular street (filled with local shops and restaurants alike). Solid selection of flavors as well as commendable portion sizes. Did the Two-Scoop + a Waffle Cone ($7.50). Despite the price tag, the ice cream is definitely worth it. First flavor was Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup - a well balanced mixture with chunks of PB/chocolate inside. Second flavor was honey based offering that wasn't overpowering, going well with my other flavor. Seating is first come first serve and never got too crowded despite the limited space. Servers behind the counter are efficient and they let you take samples without concern. Like they have other confectionaries as well

Ice Cream lovers and candy lovers will be thrilled with this charming little cream shop! Located in Gaslamp Village, Jersey Junction gives old fashioned candy store vibes and offers a variety of ice cream sweets and treats. From the checkered floor to the train that goes around the room, you'll love this popular summer hot spot!

Mud Sunday with Michigan pothole Yeah this was really good. Lotta chocolate. Who knew Michigan pothole could get better? Love the interior and the staff was super helpful.

Toasted coconut ice cream with some chocolate bits? Yum!

I'm a huge fan of coconut ice cream and most places I go to don't usually sell that so I had to try it here! I believe it was toasted coconut with some chocolate bits? Not sure but the ice cream was creamy and delightful and fulfilled any coconut ice cream I had. I would definitely recommend it!

Super scoop ice cream in a waffle cone - my daughter's second favorite!

Jersey Junction represents the best of East Grand Rapids and is a quintessential part of the Gaslight Village community. Steeped in history while serving up sweets and treats, this small but mighty little shop was founded in 1963 by Doris, the mother of the famous children's book author (and EGR native) Chris Van Allsburg. Jersey Junction has something magical about it. My daughter loves the mint chocolate chip and I am partial to blue moon (what is that flavor anyway - other than DELICIOUS?!), but there is truly no wrong choice. Especially when enjoyed on their outdoor patio or on a walk along the shores of Reeds Lake just a few short steps away...

I've been coming here my whole life. It's still the neatest place in the world (in my opinion) to get an ice cream cone. They have indoor and outdoor seating areas. There are jars full of every kind of candy you can imagine, including jawbreakers in every size. And the ice cream is just heavenly! They do have vegan flavors as well. It has such a home town warm feeling. The staff is always really friendly. It's just a really neat place.

Facility was clean and smelled like an ice cream shop should so I felt very comfortable selecting toppings. I chose cotton candy yogurt with gummy bears as a kicker. This stuff is expensive but there's really no way for you to know how much you're going to be paying until your cup is weighed. This business model is so wild to me, yet it works. Nate and I stopped in to this location of the Pump House recently for a sweet treat. The bowls are huge, which makes you buy more! They also have cardboard dividers so you can separate your bowl and try up to three flavors, which is what I did. The options are extensive - I think they had at least 20 flavors of frozen yogurt. They also have hard scooped ice cream but I'm not sure if you can use the toppings bar on those choices. I tried the vanilla caramel swirl, mint, and mango raspberry sorbet. They have dairy free options which is nice. The toppings bar is bonkers - I've never seen so many options, ranging from sweet to salty to weird (hot cheetos anyone?). I typically go for the gummy candy but I wish I knew which toppings were the lightest! At 69 cents per ounce, we paid over $20 for our two cups. That's bananas to me, honestly, but I knew it would be pricey going in. The vanilla caramel was my least favorite of the frozen yogurt flavors - it was definitely very caramel-y flavored but I thought it was overpowering. The mint was really good and the sorbet was sour and refreshing. Definitely not a place I'll go regularly, but it's a fun place to check out occasionally.

Since I'm simple and usually get a standard twist cone with sprinkles, I'm easy to please. For me, the soft serve has been somewhat inconsistent; sometimes it's great and sometimes its really soft and has melted quickly which made it a race to eat! I've also had some random texture issues with some flurries. One time my wife had the drumstick flurry and I don't know what happened, but the texture became super grainy and almost like the ice cream was curdling/separating. That for sure felt like a one-off, but is now always in my mind and makes me far less likely to get a flurry.
