At times when she is booking a carnival cruise she may be in charge of possibly 300 clients on that same ship and they're all asking questions and giving demands about what they need to have for their trip and Velma will take care of every single thing they are asking for and if she can't she will tell you why and she probably even will say how sorry she is that she can't accommodate them. Says dinner cruise, dinner in the air, ATV quads along with the other things. We tried for a couple months to get Velma to send us the schedule of our tours. Once we received it I asked where the dinner in the air was. She said that was reservations only and didn't include dinner and if we wanted that we would have to pay $200 for that. No where does it say that. She refused to give it to us saying there was no more money to pay for that. And that she planned to have a private dinner party at the all inclusive resort she was staying at with most of the people going. We opted to stay at one of the other hotels since we didn't plan on hanging out at the resort eating and drinking all day. She said she was going to try and get us a day pass to come to the dinner at her resort. I went into her FB page she made for this trip and posted how disappointed we were in our experience with her. She proceeded to block me from that page and unfriended us and then said she wasn't able to get us that pass because the resort wanted to charge her $200 for each of us. Once again that $200 fee. And we went on our safari we didn't get the ATV rides that it shows because she didn't pay for that option and the driver wanted us to pay extra for it. He said Velma only paid for the cheaper package $36 per person. Originally when she said we weren't getting the dinner in the air she said we paid $400 less per person than the group staying at her resort. And I responded with that's because we aren't getting free food and drinks like that group. Not sure if she thought we were stupid and she could get away with things because we have never used a travel agent before because we like planning our own trips. She kept saying I'm sorry you're not happy what can I do to make you happy. I kept telling her to give us what we paid for but she wouldn't. She then said she would pay the extra if we wanted to switch our aquarium tickets to the Miracle Gardens. I told her it didn't open till mid October. But she said no that it was open. We didn't thank goodness since it wasn't open. Then about a week before the trip she tells me she had to cancel her reservations because her 90yr old mother was ill and she needed to take care of her but yet her sister went on the trip. But while in Dubai I saw that she had posted that she was at Carnival cruise terminal with from the name of the person possibly her mother. Guess she wasn't that sick. It was our first and last time using a travel agent. Not sure if we will take the time to pursue getting some of our money back from her or just move on. We will all have to discuss it and see what we want to do. I would give a negative star if I could!

The level of service that we have all received has been beyond excellent. in 2015, My brothers and I sent my parents on an Alaskan Cruise for their 50th anniversary. Rhonda was great to work with, answering our abundant questions as this was our first time cruising. We tagged along and enjoyed it so much we booked another Alaskan cruise the following for the following year. 2019 had us doing a 15 day Panama Canal and our 3rd Alaskan cruise with a group of friends, all handled by Rhonda at TerraMar. We had our 5 cruise planned for Europe in 2020 but covid got in the way. I can imagine the hassles of cancelling and refunds without the help of Rhonda. Starting to think about our next one, and you can be sure we will be using TerraMar, even though we live at the other end of the state, Rhonda is our go to for our vacation planning!

I have never used a travel company because I have always done the research but this time I thought I would give a travel company a try. I used this travel company for no specific reason. Debra was my travel agent and at first I was excited because she said she would follow up before, during and after our vacation which I thought was awesome but it seemed like she wanted me to already have a hotel and time picked out. My husband and I wanted to go to Tahoe for a week and we had an open schedule after next July but we wanted to try and be right on the lake. She emailed me asking when we wanted to go and I told her we were open because I do not know when the best time would be and in my mind as a travel agent that is one of your jobs is to look up and Inform the travel of best time. Instead of her informing me of a good time she said she sent a link of best time to go and when I told her I couldn't open it she responded with you just need to put that in the search bar. I'm sorry why would I be using a travel agent if I was needing to do my own research, I wanted a travel agent thinking they know Tahoe and will know when is a good time to go and which area would be best for our vacation. Maybe I am wrong on what a travel agent actually does but it seems like she didn't want to help. For one month we were emailing and she never once emailed me a resort to look at or a hotel to look at. The last email she wrote me stated that if I wanted a house on the lake I would need to go threw a private company and to email her back if I decide on a hotel. Why wouldn't she tell me that a month ago when I first told her we wanted to be on the lake and I told her we were open so why wouldn't she send me a few hotels or resorts that she uses frequently that are near lakes? To me as a travel agent that is what you do but again maybe I am wrong and that's not what they do. I do not recommend this company because I feel like for a month this woman just wasted my time and really didn't seem like she cared.
