    Spicy wagyu pizza
    Bill U.

The decor is lacking, 13 tables, and a very cold atmosphere. The pizza itself was delicious but the arugula salad, which my wife couldn't eat as it was heavy on the olives and very salty. They have very small glasses of water that needs to be addressed. The service was great but wouldn't be necessary if if they would just leave a picture on the table. They do have a corking fee if you decide to BYOB.

My husband, youngest son, and I decided to go to Farina In Grani while in the area. We parked and walked in. It's a nice small restaurant. It had seating in booths, tables, and at the bar. There is natural light that comes in from the windows. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by two friendly women that sat us at a table. After seating us they gave us menus to look at. Upon returning they asked us if we wanted anything to drink. We ordered waters and I ordered an Aperol Spritz Mocktail to try. It was sweet with a zing to it. Before ordering our food they asked us if we had any questions. I asked about the pizza and they explained differences between them. Then we placed our order and waited. I ordered the Margherita con Bufala Pizza and my son ordered the same thing. It comes with fresh mozzarella cheese, tomato sauce, and basil. My husband ordered the Spicy Wagyu Salume which comes with mozzarella, tomato sauce, wagyu beef salami, and peppers. The Pizzas were delicious. The dough was light and fluffy. The tomato sauce was good and not too heavy and the fresh mozzarella di Bufala was fresh and soft. The basil was fresh and crisp. You could smell it on the pizza. The wagyu beef salami had an amazing burst of flavor while the peppers had a smokey and sweet flavor. Both pizzas had a really good combination of ingredients. After eating one of the waitresses came over and asked if we wanted a dessert. We agreed and and she listed off several items. I can't remember what she listed off but I remember my husband and son wanted a tiramisu but unfortunately they were out. So we decided to try a pear ricotta dessert. It was so good. It reminded me of a cheesecake but made with a pear flavor. The inside was smooth and it had a slight crunchy texture from the crust. Overall it was a nice place to stop for dinner. The restaurant atmosphere is nice, the spritzer was good, and the pizza and pear dessert were delicious.

Outstanding Neapolitan style pizza and probably the best I've tried to date. The interior is low key and they do not have a liquor license but they do allow for BYOB with a modest corkage fee of $10 per bottle. Started our meal with the Arugula salad which was fantastic, crunchy and filled with heirloom tomatoes and olives. Excellent way to start the meal. For the pizza, we went with a classic margherita for the kiddo and the we opted for the chef special pizza which was a beef salami with Gorgonzola which was delicious but the real star of the show was the lamb sausage pizza with sumac which was just outstanding. The ingredients shone on its own without overtaking the beauty of the dough or cheese. You must eat this pizza while it's piping hot though as it does lose its charm a bit when cold. We also tried a few of their desserts including the lemon tart and tiramisu. Staff is friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely be back!

I had a fantastic experience at Farina! Located in a cute plaza (and quite hidden), there is plenty of parking and nearby cafes if you want to hop around. FOOD Though not a huge mushroom fan, the Fungi Pizza was absolutely delicious (& messy to eat LOL). The crust is thin and the flavor was powerful. We got extra mushrooms on top of ours. I also got the Spicy Wagyu Salami Pizza which paired perfectly with the Fungi because of how different both tasted. It was slightly spicy and so good! PORTION SIZE: Each pizza is pretty large and comes with 4 big slices. My boyfriend and I split 2 pizzas and had some to take home. SERVICE The owners and Justin are all fantastic! You can tell they are passionate about pizza and their shop. They made us feel at home and were quick to refill our waters/anything else we needed. AMBIANCE There was plenty of indoor seating and a nice bar area with non-alcoholic drinks available. The music and lighting was also pleasant.

I've had Farina in Grani bookmarked for longer than I can remember, and after finally trying it I immediately regretted all the mediocre pizza I ate in its place. We grabbed two pizzas to go on a busy weeknight with the intention of having leftovers, but we each single handedly took down a whole pizza each. The crust is crispy yet chewy and perfectly charred. The Antica Margherita had the perfect proportion of cheese to tomato sauce and was well balanced. The cacio e pepe was covered in the most flavorful olive oil and sprinkled with whole peppercorns which made for a delicious and crunchy bite. We already can't wait for our next pizza night!

Best food and great people. I have never had similar quality pizza in DFW. Go try it yourself.

What a gem of a place! A family owned business with one of the best pizza's I've tasted in town. It took me back to when I visited Italy We started with the salad and then tried the Rustico and Terra e Mare. The salad is more than enough to share with a delicious dressing. The pizzas *insert Italian kiss . The Terra e Mare is apparently their latest addition to the menu with a lamb sausage. It is such a perfectly blended combination of toppings, just delicious! They prefer that you don't make modifications to their pizzas and as the ones we tried proved, you shouldn't, they have chosen their topping combinations perfectly. The tiramisu is homemade and also matches the quality of everything else here. It's fairly light and we found out it's because she doesn't use eggs in it. The restaurant will serve NA drinks but at the moment is limited to a sparkling white or rose wine and a gin and tonic. We did try both the sparkling and as someone that does drink alcohol, these are really good! You can't really tell they're NA. They do plan to add still NA wines and more mocktails. It's also BYOW(ine) with a $10 corkage fee for those that want alcohol. If you haven't been, go! Though their menu is small, it allows them to provide exceptional quality. Also, me personally, it makes it easier for me to decide what to eat!

Just the boys, out for a birthday lunch.

We visited here for my birthday, all I can say is the food and service is exceptional. I highly recommend this establishment. (Written by my nephew on his 14th birthday)

    Margherita Con Bufala Pizza

Food 5/5, service 5/5, ambiance 5/5. Went on a weekday lunch. Plenty of seating. Tried Margherita Con Bufala Pizza, Profumata Pizza, tiramisu. Pies were baked in a pizza oven from Italy. Ingredients are imported from Italy. Margherita: Everything was perfect! The dough was perfectly chewy, with the tinest amount of char, super thin, but had integrity, the toppings were fresh, the addition of high quality olive oil and the freshest basil pushed it above excellent. Profumata: perfect crust, fresh arugula, wagyu bresaola, fresh parmigiana. Another fantastic pie. Tiramisu: perfectly bitter & not too sweet. Fresh mascarpone that is super light & airy. Service was quick, efficient, friendly. I'm stunned that this place exists in Richardson, TX. I assumed the chef trained in Italy, but was amazed to hear they are self taught! My favorite pizza shop in the US. Will definitely be going back & bringing my friends!

    Spicy Wagyu Salume

I got the Spicy Wagyu Salume, excellent, not too spicy, great flavor, perfect for lunch!

So happy we discovered this spot! Some of the best pizza we've ever had and the service was 10/10. Great ambiance and we absolutely loved that they had a non alcoholic beverage menu. Can't wait to be back and try the rest of their pizzas!

This review is for the Richardson location. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Junbi is bright and inviting. The sun yellow walls will feature collabs (currently featuring Peanuts), and there's plenty of comfortable seating in the narrow shop. It's hard not to smile or be transported into a good mood when you enter. 1 Star. Service - The staff is very nice and super helpful. If you already know what you want, you can order directly from the kiosk. I asked the staff for help, and they were very patient and helped make many recommendations. Once you place your order, your drink will be crafted, and then your name called when it's ready. 1 Star. Food - I ordered the Hojicha Cold Foam Latte. The first thing I noticed was how smooth it was. The second thing I noticed was it had a caffeine kick.... almost like drinking coffee. It's lighter than a coffee latte and not as grassy as green tea. It tastes familiar, comforting, and very refreshing for an iced drink. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. I'm not a big matcha fan, but Junbi is different. The matcha is super high quality, and I've only begun to explore the menu. I'll definitely be back. 1 Star.

The fresh kanafeh is always warm, crispy, and perfectly cheesy with just the right amount of sweetness. It was SO special. We haven't been back in many years and not only did that magical original location close, but what we found instead was this monstrosity of a location that felt hyper corporatized and commercial--in other words, soulless. Listen, we don't begrudge them their success. And we were so happy for them when we saw them being mentioned in the NYT a few years ago. But now Bigdash has gone full American--they've expanded to multiple locations, the quality has gone down, and that je-ne-sais-quoi magic is completely gone. We came here yesterday after a stellar meal at Khashoka, excited since it's been so long since our last visit. We walked in (it was freezing) and the whole place looked like a Disney-ified version of the original Big Dash. There was one woman working, and she was very friendly, but what a different experience than mingling with the original owners in the unpretentious cozy ambience. The worst part is that the ice cream is nowhere near as good! The original Arabic ice cream's level of rose water was off and the ice cream's stretchiness felt less organically created. The pistachio was OK. Our daughter got this crazy container of small individual frozen fruit shapes that were covered in chocolate. Those felt cute and special and we liked them all except for the grape. Again, we're happy for Bigdash's success. They deserve it. But we will not be back again because what we loved so much about this place is no longer. Tis the American way, alas! Three stars and sincere best wishes to them.
