This shop was so cute! I loved the decor, the warmth and the farmhouse vibe. They have such a fun variety of things - from delicious bakery goods, to unique drinks to interesting trinkets. The caramel rolls was so delicious! I highly recommend it! The service was friendly and all around a sweet experience!

Heard a lot of good things about this place and I wasn't disappointed. It's located in a bustling small town of Ashland, which can make it really easy to miss. The shop is pretty small, but had a cute, cozy and relaxing atmosphere. Service was nice and friendly. All of the pastries looked delicious, so it was kinda difficult to choose which one to eat. In the end, I had to try the cinnamon roll because the portion size was gigantic and it tasted amazing as well. The establishment also serves a variety of drinks like coffee and matcha. You can also order a whole loaf of bread as well for a decent price. Overall, a good place to stop by whenever you're driving through Ashland to get to Omaha or Lincoln. Good place for family and friends.

Fariner is worth every mile of the drive to Ashland. It is an adorable, family owned bakery and I have yet to be even slightly disappointed in anything I've tried here. The coffee is tasty from the barista bar and on Sundays, they even offer a breakfast menu! I love this bakery and would recommend it to anyone!

Fariner is one of my go to spots when in downtown Ashland. I've had their breakfast sandwich, several coffees, sourdough bread, and many of their baked goods. While everything is always good, their bakery items continuously blow me away. A coworker brought in chocolate croissants to work several months ago, and I haven't stopped thinking about this dang chocolate croissant since. The truth is, all of their baked goods are like this. Plus, the shop is adorable. It's a great location to get some work done or meet up with someone!

Cute bakery in the town of Ashland. Plenty of parking, indoor and outdoor seating. They have breakfast pastries & coffee options, and then transition to dinner snacks and drinks in the evening. Staff was helpful, and they also have shelves of fresh bread, meat, jams, jellies, cheese, and other pantry items! Walk around to all the little shops afterwords as well!

I go out of my way for this place constantly but yesterday I went to pick up a new sour dough starter and decided to try their new sweet cornbread muffin while I waited. I took one bite and immediately walked back in line to get 2 more. I would've bought every last one of them if I wasn't traveling tomorrow. The only thing that could've stopped me from leaving this review was my desire to make sure these never run out. But they deserve the hype, as always, so here we are. Best place in the world at any time of day, run by the kindest people! And the market is great as always. Fariner has the most welcoming, calming atmosphere.

This is such a cute little coffee shop. I got an iced almond latte with an extra shot and it was the BEST almond latte I've ever had. The two gentlemen working were very sweet and helpful. They had great customer service. The girl at the counter wasn't as friendly. Maybe she was having a bad day. Overall cute little spot and I will definitely be back for an almond latte

Absolutely darling! What a pleasant surprise downtown Ashland. I didn't get a chance to swing by here last time I was in the area so I definitely went out of my way this time! The barista was an instant best friend and we happily yapped away as he prepared my almond cold brew. I also bought an apple muffin for later. The cold brew was an acidic light blend but still embodied a medium mouthfeel. Light on the tongue but not on the flavor. The apple muffin was a delicious treat with my coffee the next morning, still fresh with a sugar coated top - yum. Not only is this a great spot for coffee and bakery items but the shelves are stocked with local products you want to buy!

LOVED the atmosphere, amazing options from a wide variety of pastries to quiche and avocado toasts! We even got the option to have our pastries warmed up and they were fantastic, coffee came quick as well. The environment itself was so quaint and welcoming, they had multiple shelves to browse unique food and drink items for purchase as well. I will definitely be back to try more!

This is a place that truly has it all! Good bread, good wine and good coffee. I stopped by for breakfast with friends since we were in town and it surely did not disappoint. The place is super cute and cozy and it has a big outdoor. The bad thing is that the place is so popular and they do not have a lot of people working and the service is very slow. They missed some of our orders but happily brought it out.

Beautiful pastries and welcoming employees. My friend and I enjoyed my favorite "pecan roll" (still warm) and a homemade strawberry shortcake! This way we could sample two items. They sell wine, honey, herbs, and other things. It is located in a cute little building just off Main Street in Ashland. And it is a very busy place, go early!

This place is so cute, I love the decor and the variety of delicious options! I was told they usually have a line all the way to the door but we got lucky this time when we went on a Sunday morning. Still, my friend had ordered everything ahead of time so we could get what we wanted before they ran out. The Mexican s'more cream bun was incredible, the chocolate filling inside was a little spicy! And the little fluffernutter cookie sandwich was also SO soft and delicious. My friend's favorite was the corn chowder scone. I also liked that they had a little market area to shop from. Super cute spot!

    - I visited Fariner with my cousin who recommended their fresh bakery items. This is a bit of a drive from Omaha, being out in Ashland, but definitely brings a small town feel. I felt transported to small town Nebraska, but with global access. Their shelves are fully stocked with unique items such as Spanish spreads, local honey, or small company kombucha cans. They are also a wine merchant, and had displays of a unique selection to explore. - The service was excellent, personable, individual, and did not feel that they were rushed but rather were invested in their conversation with me. I was debating between two pastry options, and the worker answered questions, telling me which were more popular and which were more rare in rotation. They were quite attentive! - The bakery item I decided on was a cardamom roll! I was drawn to this immediately and it is apparently not commonly in the rotation. The texture was great, with a sugared casing around my roll, and a soft flaky inside. The roll was not as strong cardamom as I imagined and prefer, it seemed to be mixed with some cinnamon - and tasted close to a typical cinnamon roll with a lighter flavor, not as heavy or overly sweet. The roll is large and I could have split it rather than eating the whole thing for myself! I ended up taking some home with me. I could tell it was freshly baked as well, which speaks to the quality of their bakery. - My cousin got a banana muffin, and we were both blown away! The banana seemed to be melting in your mouth, and the muffin was the most moist I've ever had! It was still warm, which took it from a 9/10 to a 10/10! Incredible. My cousin went back to buy another ! - I ordered an orange cardamom latte, and I will say I was disappointed. This is a BAKERY and not known for the lattes, but from a flavor profile this was a letdown. I did not taste any citrus and orange, and barely any cardamom. As these are flavors I crave, I was underwhelmed. Definitely not a bad plain latte, but the flavors could be worked on. - Overall, the essence of this location makes it worth the visit - and be sure to get a loaf of their fresh sourdough Togo, and a delicious pastry!

At first I wasn't sure where we were going until we were parked right in front of it. I especially love that the beautiful Flamingo is on the spotlight here! I LOVE flamingoes and delicious sweets so both of these combined had me over the moon to try their creations! We decided on a couple of cupcakes and cookies. I happily chose something out of my norm and went with the vanilla coffee while my boyfriend had the Okie Dougkie. Both were yummy and unique for my cupcake palette. The cookies were a great size and also had a little twist from cookies I've had from other bakeries. I especially enjoy their browned butter chocolate chip cookie and my boyfriend loves their Foo Foo Fetti cookies! I have since gone back a few other times and have been happy with everything I've tried so far!! I forgot to mention, their lemon bars are wonderful! There's a great amount of short break crust with a great ratio of sweet and lemony deliciousness. Each time I've visited and along with my boyfriend we were always greeted by their staff right away. They are friendly and helpful. The last time I stopped in I happened to look at their merchandise area and settled on a crocheted chicken hot pad as a gift for my sister's birthday! They have a bunch of unique gift items that are perfect to pick up when grabbing some of their sweets and breakfast items. The only thing I wish is that they open earlier on Saturdays. Other than that, I look forward to going back and trying more of their breakfast items and gift shopping for future birthdays and Christmas! If you're a sweet lover like me I highly suggest flocking on over to the Baking Flamingos to check them out!

It's a small little shop Southwest of 168th and Harrison. The shop is locally owned, so you can feel good buying stuff here and supporting local entrepreneurs rather than big business. Once you enter, to the left, there's a small section of merchandise from a variety of artists. However, the main course is to the right, no pun intended. The shop features a rotating supply of baked goods. There's always cookies, brownies, small pies, and cheesecakes. Based on when I was there, there were graduation items. And there's also delicious looking focaccia, decorated in a variety of designs. The prices were fairly reasonable for a shop of this type. I think my brownie was $3 and the cupcake was similar as well. Everything looked delicious, so be cautious bringing children in with you, lest you be spending a lot of money! Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area, and especially if you live nearby. #SupportLocal

I searched Yelp for bakeries in Lincoln, ordered by rating and came across Emma Bakes. My first concern was that the reviews were from a year ago and later so I called to make sure they still existed. Once I confirmed I checked the map and found that they are located on O street. This left me wondering what parking would be like, but then I remembered I lived in Nebraska and even if it was street parking only I'd have options. Their location is on the South side of O street and comes complete with plenty of off-street parking. The shop is small but has a nice bright yellow sign out front and an yellow interior accent wall inside as well as plants and pastry cases. Each pastry is made on site and comes in its own resealable packaging. The proprietor, who I expect is Emma was kind and helpful. I selected 4 items and headed for home. I got an egg tart, a sausage and cheese bun, garlic bread, and a strawberry and cream cheese pastry. I started with the sausage and cheese bun, the non-sausage parts were a bit salty, not in a bad way, just a bit off. The sausage looked more like a hot dog than any special type of seasoned link. I have to say, after eating this I was concerned about the other items (I'd give this item 3 stars). Next I tried the egg tart, it was the last one in the store and the star of the other reviews I read. Oh my goodness, this was incredible, the crunchy-crispiness of the crust and the creamy subtle flavor of the center, it was perfection. Had there been more in the case I might have gone back and ordered a half dozen. Once my wife got home we split the strawberry pastry, it was also a solid five stars, great homemade filling, light flaky pastry dough, delightful. Finally, I cut into the garlic bread, it had quite a lot of cheese inside, tasted great and had a strong garlic kick. Overall, I will be back, either when they open or just after 1pm when the afternoon batch of pastries comes out of the ovens. Oh, and I should mention, they offer Banh Mi as well, I'll have to try those as well next time.
