However, here at the new location in Glen Carbon, that is not the case. There's nothing nearby, but the positive is the layout and space of the store is so much better. Browsing the GB makes you feel like you are shopping, RH or Pottery Barn. Also, I am a big fan of Olive and Cocoa, a mail order catalog. My most recent visit, I found several items from the catalog, in TGB and I'd rather buy local, then from a major catalog. This store is amazing, the staff is always eager to help. If you shop like me and don't need help, they are cool with that, too. I can spend my money, without any help. If you're decorating your home, or if you need a gift for mom, your BFF and the school teacher, I'm telling you to come here and shop. I challenge anyone to come here and try to leave without buying something. You'll always find an item you gotta have.

This place has the little booths; one for each seller. The lady behind the counter is always friendly and makes you feel welcome. To me, it's mostly garage sell stuff, but it's a fun place to just look around if you have some time. You never know what you may find. The hours are Monday-Saturday 10:00 to 8:00 and Sunday 10 to 5. Over 50 vendors.

When I explained that I can't visit often because I work during their business hours, I was told to come on Saturdays. I later stopped by on a Sunday at 3:00 p.m., well within the posted hours, only to find the store closed. On another visit, there was a promotion for a free item with purchase, but I felt rushed to choose my free item even though I was the only customer in the store. The owner suggested a bar of soap, which felt like a dismissive, low-value option. I also used the fitting room, but the owner seemed annoyed that I only purchased one of the items I tried on, making me feel like I was inconveniencing her. Throughout my visits, I also felt uncomfortable because the owner shared personal complaints and seemed judgmental rather than welcoming. Between the inconsistent business hours and repeated negative interactions, I've decided I won't be returning. I hope the business becomes more customer-focused and creates a more welcoming experience for its patrons.

Beware and keep track of your stuff cause you have no way to prove anything once you hand it to them.

This led us to the nearby Ziena Boutique storefront. We went inside and explored what turned out to be an upscale women's clothing store that seems to specialize in trendy smart-casual styles. Ziena has jeans, blouses, dusters, necklaces, permanent jewelry, sparkly custom patches that can be placed on clothing or cosmetic bags, and more. I expected the prices to be high, but I was pleasantly surprised that they were reasonable. I bought a duster-style button-down shirt that looks great over short jeans and a tank, and it was only $45. I have already told several friends that they need to stop by this place. I'll be back!
