In terms of service and communication they were lacking. The upfront service we received from Karen when we initially contacted the team was excellent. She was very helpful and accommodating. Where there were service related challenges: we were told that Western Cut staff would clear plates; however, this did not happen to our satisfaction - family members had to help with this. Western Cut was packing up and leaving before all guests were served. Seconds were not an option. We had several guests tell us that the buffet was being cleared away before they had been fully served. Communication with Karen was professional and polite. Communication with Bill was less than desirable, he used profanity in emails and was incredibly unprofessional in his responses. We paid for 120 guests and only had 105 guests at the wedding- We understood this as that is the minimum and was stated in the contract. However, we expected quality service and well cooked food which unfortunately was not delivered. We do want to note the bbq meat was excellent - it was the side dishes that were lacking. Would I hire them again for my wedding? No. Would I consider hiring them for an event that had less high stakes - such as a casual golf tournament, yes.

Each member of the catering staff had an essential role in helping us carry out our dream wedding. We truly are thankful, and grateful for the professionalism the members of the company presented throughout the special day. We also must acknowledge that our wedding was not the easiest to cater due to it occurring during pandemic times. However, Dani (i.e., organizer) was able to effectively guide us through the process to ensure that we were able to have a safe wedding, but still have all the festivities/décor that we desired. Let's talk about the food, simply put, "it was absolutely terrific". From the appetizers (i.e., mac & cheese), to the dinner (i.e., stuffed chicken), and the grand finale of chocolate mouse; the food was made with pride and passion. Set our bias aside when we say that the food was the best we have ever had at any wedding. Chef, Louie promised us that we would have nothing to worry about when it came to the taste of the food come the wedding day, and he fulfilled this promise. Fresh Fast Fries II sells freshly fried fish and chips, poutine, burgers and hotdogs for reasonable prices. We ordered a hot dog which was made quickly. They have lots of condiments on a counter in front of the truck. We would have ordered fries but were still full from a late lunch. Plenty of picnic tables are set up beside the food truck. If you're lucky you can watch the trains passing by near the property as you order or enjoy your food on site. There's also plenty of parking. The people parked next to us were from Pennsylvania. Word travels far!
