They arrived when they said they would (actually early) and finished the job (tear out shingles, new boards as needed, added insulation to the attic, rerouted vents, new roof) in one day (about 11 hours). The crew cleaned up the area and made sure no debris (nails, scraps, etc) were left. I've moved to another house in 2014 and wanted to replace the roof. I called Imperial for a quote to do the job. The work was extremely sloppy, and we had spray foam in the basement carpet, smeared onto door handles and splattered onto my tools and onto visible portions of the basement walls/ceiling. In addition, they incorrectly installed an attic door insulated cover. Most significantly, they did some minor damage to my concrete driveway. I complained about the sloppy work, and subsequently didn't hear from them at all for more than 3 months, at which point I received a bill. I dealt with Rob Patterson, who agreed to give me a break on the bill due to there major delay in getting back to me. However, he refused to even apologize or address any of my concerns regarding the sloppy work.

Month to month and even year over year it is hard to precisely measure energy use and savings because each season and year has varying temperatures. We were getting estimates to add insulation to our attic because it does settle over time and ours was built eleven years ago. We already had two companies out for estimates. The first one went into the attic and took a good look around before giving us an estimate. The second one didn't even go into the attic but based his estimate by measuring square footage in the basement. The third one was Stoney from BlownInsulationMI.com who, like the first one, went up into the attic to check it out. When he finished, based on what he saw, he explained that he felt our insulation had settled but was still adequate (when built in 2009, we paid for extra insulation above the minimum requirements). He said he would be happy to sell us some insulation, but the amount they would recommend would not affect our heating-and-cooling bills enough to make it worth the investment. We appreciated his honesty and that he took the time to explain his assessment and how he came to that conclusion. He was very knowledgeable and has decades of experience to back what he says. If we have a need for the future, this company would be on the top of our list. Give them a call.
