Dominic did a complete inspection before telling us our options. He walked around on the roof and took photos. He did not try to talk us into any upgrades, but we decided since the roof was old, we'd ask for the shingles and any decking to be repaired. We decided we wanted the medium excellence option. We also asked for attic blown-in insulation, new gutters, and gutter shields. Dominic told us they'd put in some attic vents. In the end, they took it down to the rafters! As we had to be away when they started, Dominic was in touch with us on the phone or by email every step of the way, and answered every question. Roof Advance gave our little old house the boost it needed! It looks great, and, we have peace of mind knowing that we won't have to climb up to clean the gutters any more. They even gave us a senior discount, which we were not expecting. Their requested deposit wasn't a lot of money. They have an easy way to pay by e-check, or by credit card online. Rapid came out claimed they were submitting samples to GAF for warrnaty replacemnt .April 2026 they patched bad areas and claimed GAF found no quality issues and closed case (Initial case took 6 months start to finish) . Aug 2026 more leaks 11 across entire roof .waited 13 days for rapid to respond they made repairs that DID NOT address leaks . I Called GAF (Shingle Manufacturer ) and found out they NEVER Submitted samples !( can you say FRAUD) In addition Rapid Roof not GAF closed my case on April 13 2026 claiming it was no longer needed because they had REPLACED MY ROOF ! This was a total lie .Stay away from these people they are sugary sweet on the phone and in person but when truly needed they are never around and NEVER return calls !Bill Beaty the original owner has passed and the new owners are running this business into the ground ! They misrepresented the quality of the shingles. We were told they were the same quality as we had and they weren't. We ordered one color and later told we had to order another color. Our neighbor used the same company and we were assured they were not waiting to do both jobs on the same day. We had our order in ahead of theirs and guess what, both were done in one day. My husband had to go over to the roofers and say, we are first. We were charged for the dumpster rental as was our neighbors and we shared the one dumpster. It was just one thing after another with this company. When the roofers finally showed up the job they did was so-so. There were ripples in the roof edge and we asked them to fix it. It was because we had metal gutter guards on our gutters. So instead of taking the time to do the job correctly, they cut them! Yes, cut them. It voided our warranty and ended up costing us an additional $475 to replace them. Roof Advisor offered to install some cheap plastic ones, telling us that was industry standard and my own research proved that to be untrue. They would have been down the street the first storm we had. By the time the roofers arrived I had lost all confidence in this company, but the supplies had been sitting on our roof for weeks. The supplies were delivered, the shingles put on the roof and the accessories next to the house. It was taking so long after delivery my senior husband had to move it to the garage so it wouldn't be damaged or stolen. It was over two months from the first date we were given until the poor work was done. No permits were filed and we had to ask for that to be done. We had to remind the roofers that the vent needed to be installed, they were in the dumpster. There was poor communication, poor salemanship, poor information related, and just a poor company in all. The company who came to replace the gutter guards said we should send a copy of the bill to Roof Advisor because it was appalling what they did. No reputable company would do this. So, there you have it. No, we did not send the bills because we know it would do no good. Save yourself the aggravation and go with another company.

So... when the guy (Reed, the owner) came to my house to give me an estimate I told him I read his…read morereviews online - he brought up the original Yelp review here and stated that it was unfounded, that he had GoogleVoice and knows exactly when people call and when he calls them back and that the person was exaggerating... so I decided to disreguard the review and move forward with the company, because the roofing estimate I got was reasonable. However.... I also asked for a siding estimate and was told he would call me back later that night or the next day with the estimate. After 10 days and 3 calls from ME to him, I FINALLY got a return call on a Friday night at 8pm with the estimate, and the explanation that "the siding guy was out of town on a funeral and he couldn't get a hold of him..." - While I thought it was a little unprofessional that he didn't call me to update me on that, I decided ...ok a funeral - I'll give the benefit of the doubt on that, and I told him that I'd like his company to do the roofing and siding. He told me that he would get in touch with me in the next couple of days after he got a date from the siding guy. That was May 2 (which I'm sure he can confirm on his googlevoice) I called several times in the 2 weeks following, and always got sent to voice mail, somtimes it didn't even ring 1 whole time and he sent my calls directly to voicemail - NEVER returning my calls once (I ALSO have googlevoice, so i CAN confirm this...) Finally after 2 weeks, I decided that even if he did return my call, I couldn't trust him to be reliable and I was going to seek out additional estimates and find a new company... which I did, and had my roof done (by Demoss and Sons for more than $1000 LESS too actually) just 2 days after I had the estimate and signed the contract !! Much better!!! So I'm thinking this guy must not have wanted my business, I told him I WANTED TO HIRE him, and he totally blew me off. Believe it or not on May 30, literally 28 DAYS AFTER I called and said I'd like his company to do the roof/siding he calls me and leaves a nonchalant voicemail saying "Hey this is Reed with Murrays, just calling to see if next week would be an ok time to start your project" - SERIOUSLY???? 28 DAYS LATER!??!?? Why would you even bother calling me back at this point?!?? What kind of customer service is that??? HORRIBLE!!! If you can't count on them to call you back after you've expressed that you WANT to hire them.... how can you count on them to show up and get the job done correctly!!! I wouldn't hire them even if you paid me!!

The supplies are still on our driveway because they continue claiming they'll be here. We're apparently awaiting a repair man to call us and yet for WEEKS now, we've heard nothing except "well you slipped through the cracks, they'll call". So I don't recommend this company because while for us, we "slipped through the crack" for some ventilation, but who knows what else is lacking on the new roof.
